## ReadyAPI Reviews
  ### 1. Enhances the SoapUI Experience for More Robust Testing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ray S. | Staff Test Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

Enhances the SoapUI experience and lets you perform more robust testing. It is easy to create new tests when importing Swagger, or even when you don't exactly have the specs yet.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Licensing can be pretty pricey for what it is

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted a test suite that could easily integrate with our Jenkins CI tool, to run whenever there was a new build created. There was pre-built functionality that allowed this to be done pretty easily - did not have to invent the wheel

  ### 2. sprout social API

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Koyuki N. | AI, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

Great way to integrate metadata into our backend.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

pricing can be a bit high and lack of bundles/tiered pricing

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dynamic, self serving reporting with all metadata in snowflake

  ### 3. ReadyAPI performance testing tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vasanth L. | Technical Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2021

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

It's a well-organized tool that provides clean and well-versed documentation to perform the required testing to the apis. It offers clean reports after the execution to analyze the results.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Since the tool is not open source, the free users are not accessible to all the features. Also, the pricing for an individual user is high, which can be minimized.

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

It's better to use the application only if your company is providing a licensed version. The major question one should ask themselves is that what is not available in the opensource tools like Jmeter that is available in this. Is the tool providing those features for the money that are being spent. As to my experiene that I have had, I feel that as an organization the tool would be helpful if the usage is really high and is restricted to core API and not any 3rd party inclusion. In that case, the tool works really well and provides decent insights for the test runs. Incase you are looking for a random day usage, spending money might not be the best choice cause there is a timeframe for the licence. Based on these factors the user can make their decisions on using the tool or not.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the tool to perform load testing of API, which provides insights about the test runs. These reports that are generated help me to identify the performance of the application and also help to fix the bottlenecks.

  ### 4. Excellent tool for API automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaison E . | Senior SDET, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2021

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

The excellent tool helps to add swagger quickly and automate it; it holds multiple options to integrate API and automate soon. Execution is also quick. With the support of groovy, we can do different logic from an automation point of view.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Sometimes when we have more automation scripts, during execution tool lags a bit.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation APIs quickly and re-run multiple times as required to check API stability. Also, we can integrate it with Jenkins.

  ### 5. API testing and performance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ganesh K. | Senior QC Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

Test cases can be automated in the tool itself. All the APIs can be arranged and save in tool. The response time and the output time in more efficient. Within team, it is easy now to share the APIs set more securely.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Sometimes not able to get response soon in case of large data passed through API. Some UI part for customization can be improved. Apart from this nothing else to dislike.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Now it is easy to share the data or API by creating a space and share it among the team members. It is shared more securly. API can be automated so it saves the time as well.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Two things that need to be enhanced is documentation of this software and also performance is a bit slow at some times.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were working on a web app that is based out of Spotify and needed to test our APIs and automate some scripts too via this software. It has amazing features and that is very beneficial, it can extend its functionality also along with scripting.

  ### 16. Easy to test / validate / modify webservice calls

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renjith M. | IT Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

The validation feature which let the user aware that the request body is missing some required parameters even before hitting to the URL. This can save a lot of time to dig into what went wrong with the request if we get a bad response. Even a beginner can start with this.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

The user interface is a little bit confusing if you are a first time user. If you are trying to import a soapUI project as a whole and try to validate a single request, if there is an error inside the project (not necessary inside the test case we are currently working on), it will show a validation error. This sometimes make the user confused.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While developing a SOAP based webservice, it is effortless with SoapUI, especially for testing the service. Even we can debug the code from an IDE which even make easier to implement the changes.

  ### 17. Best in market for API testing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Punks R. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2019

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

We are using Soap UI fro last 3 years for testing our soap services. Soap UI is open source, so no license is required and totally free. Soap UI is best to test API without having any UI. We can validate that we are getting correct response from the server. We can also save our projects and later use them again. To test the soap services we only need to give the WSDL URL and click ok. It will automatically generate a XML. We can also do automation using a soap by using the groovy script and use various assertions to save our time to doing the repeated task again and again. We can also set values in custom properties and can access them anywhere in different requests. We can also do load and security tests with soapUI

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Should have some reporting, to easily identify the failed test cases. otherwise, it is best

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SoapUI saves our time by automating our test cases and using various assertions we can validate our response from the server

  ### 18. Good, easy to learn and use tool.

Easier to create and maintain projects and test suites.
Easy to add APIs and update them.
Provide help with ready to use steps so that you don't have to write too much groovy script.
Assertions are easy to add and verify in latest tools.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Composite projects maintenance is little tricky.
Sometimes ReadyAPI takes too much memory and becomes slow if working with large projects.
Takes long time to open large projects.
Take some time to open readyAPI and load all the projects.
Moving from Projects to SoapUI bar is slow.
Bar on the top which has ReadyAPI logo is too big.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working on Rest API testing automation.
Making our life easier to run functional and regression test.
Secure pro is coming free with SoapUI pro.
Day to day automation and regression test is made easy with the benefits provided by ready API.
Integration with GIT help in pushing and pulling the project from the tool itself.

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

I am using Soap UI from last 2 years for API testing. It reduce API testing time and save lot of time for us. We can also automate our test cases by using in built soap ui functions like groovy script and various assertions. We can test both Soap and Rest api services with Soap UI. We can also save projects for future reference. Only we need to provide the WSDL link and we can test the services. It also have custom properties feature, so rather hardcoding the values in xml we can enter them in custom properties

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Sometime it is little slow. Should have report features, so we can know how many test cases are passed and failed

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For testing soap services and automating them for correct response from server

It's great. I can place photos and place them in the group, use the audio calls and they are great, and the video calls are amazing. I love Skype and will continue using them.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Everything I liked a lot I am very excited to have known this program because it is a very good option to communicate at work without moving from our posts and also entertainment as in groups you can add new people

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

I am a new user of Skype and their plans are very cheap and I liked that you can create work groups or friendship the application does not have sudden interruptions and works very well I recommend 100% 100

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my work area they used this application but I did not know it and that's why I had not used it. Until I look at a review of some user in g2 crowd and decided to join skype I improve my communication in my company with my work friends this is amazing

**Reviewed by:** Jose F. | Application tester, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2019

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

Have been utilizing SoapUI Pro to robotize REST API benefits in Healthcare industry item. Got snappy dispatch with instrument mix with Swagger. Introductory format experiments worked by apparatus are simple and different declarations on reactions are only a-tick away. Expert form pom given with different quality examples is very definite and it made it conceivable to fabricate and send acknowledgment tests on CI server in under multi week.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Task Coverage report include is useful dashboard for senior administration to demonstrate the amount API test robotization inclusion is cultivated. This component as of now works just with SOAP API, yet not with RESTful administrations. Great have the element of REPRESENTATION inclusion is caught for REST API also. With the goal that quantifiable inclusion dashboards can be exhibited to Senior initiative.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Social insurance industry requests precision in results. SoapUI Pro with different declaration abilities worked in alongside content based attestation support, serving more noteworthy requirements for Agile item improvement. Information driven testing and Data approvals are genuinely simple to achieved with Data Source and JDBC attestations. Robotized acknowledgment tests are manufactured and conveyed to run Continuous Integration utilizing Maven (pom.xml) fabricate. The majority of the content structure and advancement is easy and very beneficial with nitty gritty documentation the device gives.

  ### 23. SOAP UI for API Webservices testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2019

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

SOAPUI PRO licenses helps to automate the data driven with the inputs from the excel sheet, update the xml file and submit the request for the response. this reduces our effort in test data creation and different combinations can be created based our need without much knowledge of automation

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

More friendly UI and many a times, I noticed small font creates less visibility in the UI. may be due to laptop 6 bit dell precision configurations.

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

This will be helpful for any API data driven testing. Tool is very user friendly and easy to learn, debug issues incase of failure, store the input xml's mapping to the fields for the re-use. This is also lot of scope for the automation using groovy script and calling this utility from other automation tool, which is under exploration.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using for data driven testing - enrollment transactions and making payments. This is mainly critical to create thousands of test data during open enrollment and release timeline. manually, there is no way we can get this coverage or write selenium scripts, which needs detailed programming knowledge

  ### 31. Fantastic functionality, but some UI bugs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2018

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

There is a lot of functionality and flexibility in SoapUI Pro. SmartBear also offers easy integration with so many other products, allowing for seamless end to end testing. SoapUI Pro also makes it easy to integrate into Jenkins, further pushing automation efforts.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Debugging groovy scripts in soapUI pro can sometimes be difficult due to ambiguous or cryptic error messages. There are some UI bugs on the macos version (I cannot speak for soapUI on other platforms).

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

SoapUI Pro is an inexpensive commercial testing automation framework. that is definitely worth checking out.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to reduce our QA turn around time. We did not have a lot of automation efforts before adopting SoapUI Pro. SoapUI Pro is helping us shift from a mainly manual test cycle to an automated test cycle.

  ### 32. Best Tool for Web Service Testing, Validation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2018

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

Simplicity to verify any service; just load a WSDL and boom you have SOAP Service Set Up for validation, testing. For REST also it i pretty much easier to set up. For our project, SOAP UI always helps us to understand the skeleton of the Web Service. Rather than going into big big documents, it helps and guide the development team how to consume the service and what variables are required.
Even it helps for QA, so that they can verify the Service response in UI as well as in SOAP UI to compare the result. And this leads them to make sure if new service is working or consumed properly in other applications.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Sometimes it becomes unresponsive for REST service validation.

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

Use this tool if you have Web services in your application. It reduces the timing while testing new Web Services and even it has simple steps to set up new services for testing. It supports SOAP, REST and more.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For our project, SOAP UI helps to understand the skeleton of newly created Web Service along with old one as well. It helps and guide the development team how to consume the service and what variables are needs to be created. It helps in QA testing, so that they can verify the Service response in application UI as well as in SOAP UI to compare the result. And this leads them to make sure if new service is working or consumed properly in other applications.

  ### 33. Automate all API testing. Smooth tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2018

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

Very easy to create test steps. Easy to maintain. I have created my regression suite using this tool. Groovy scripting helps a lot for connecting with database. Doing parameter data for multiple test cases, creating a order and submitting it.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Sometime, groovy scripting create some problem, they should start supporting python and also other programming language. They do not provide any kind of server, you need to hit the virtual service by creating your own, this is a little tidies process.

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

Start learning programming language. It will be very easy to use.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Regression automation test suite. For creating virtual services. When there is no 3rd party service available very easy to create a virtual service and complete your testing. Easy to integrate with database. I have solved my automation test suite for regression, started running it multiple times after each deployment.

  ### 34. Great product and a key part of our API development & test lifecycle

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2019

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

Usability, the out of the box features are very useful particularly the data driven testing

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Data sinking and reports..... creating a data sink style report to show the actual data field in a response, the expected data field in a response the result of that assertion can be quite time consuming if you are validating a large number of fields a quicker method to do this would be great

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

Use the user guides and attend the training sessions

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Robustness of our API integration layer

  ### 35. SoapUI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2019

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

As administrator its been pretty straight forward to manage licensing, currently using for functional testing against our web services. Works well smartbear has a pretty good line of tools including LoadUI which is also terrific tool to get a better sense of how much load/traffic apps can handle

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

There is no # to call for support. And if ur machine gets currupted very difficult to recover that license

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Functional testing for automation purposes against our internal apps.

  ### 36. Good way to test web service

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan I. | Gerente de Consultoria ABAP, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2018

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

What like the most was that is a standar way to test my web service development , is ligth and works in diferents platforms so is not depending on anything to work.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

in my dislikes the first one is that is not in spanish , the pro version is not that diferent from the free version , so is better to save a few dollars. Finally and is my personal top , that is a litle dificut to work with , the gadget and functionalitys are no available as easy as Visual studio .

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

firs of all , try to translate to spanish (latin american spanish) second try to put your paid version more friendly to the user , i know is not a tool for final user , but still is a paid version you should put effort in using the tool in a more practical way. Easy to use , easy to understand more ways to test the aplications , and make the diference with the free version of it.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Test web service outside the development area is a good way to see if your services work as they should.

  ### 37. Perfect tool for API for both basic and experienced users

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2018

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

SOAPUI is a tool that can be easily used to setup API testing. Both technical and non-technical testers can easily design testcases having only a wsdl to start with. By making use of properties and property transfers and the possiblity to write additional scripts in e.g. Groovy, testcases can be made modular and reusable.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

In some screens, it's not always clear that there's info beneath/under a line or header. When expanding the screen part, the extra info becomes visible (e.g. with asserts)

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

You can start with the free version first, but the Pro version has a much better UI, and its' possible to switch servers/environments
Name your teststeps using GHERKIN ("Given" for properties, "when" for calling the service, "then" for asserts). It will make our testcases very readable.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it for API testing, along with UI testing in Testcomplete. I've also used it to perform performance tests, and to create testdata for manual tests

  ### 38. Automation of web services

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

The ease of use and how easily we can set up various web services automation like JSON data and xml data webservices ability to test Put, Post and Get webservices.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

It takes abit too much time when ever I try to launch the tool and ambiguity when testing webservices which has sign in certicate requirments.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tesing different automation webservices.

  ### 39. Great testing tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

It is a very essential tool for testing system capabilities. It is very easy to use and has all the necessary tools to test different scenarios. The reports of the test results, and the variety of formats to present them are great and very helpful.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

It woulkd be very helpful if some features and or commands, actions as well, have a brief explanation of their function. Maybe an informational pop up box can be displayed when we hover over the command or word.

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

Because it has so many functions, a brief explanation, on a hover over pop up, would help us to better navigate and know how to better use it.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to make all kind of modifications to existing functionality and test changes that identify problems. We can then make the changes, execute them while testing regular functionality before approving the change to be implemented.

The ability to automate various tests steps and customize them.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Not very much there. Sometimes it can be a bit resource intensive

**Recommendations to others considering ReadyAPI:**

SOAPUI pro is really cool for automating API endpoint tests. Its also lets you script using Groovy which is really cool and powerful feature. The other feature is its lets you access data across multiple test steps which makes authentication using bearer token possible. Its is fully customizable.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for automated API regression tests. Automation has removed the manual test execution for these steps

  ### 44. Best software to run XMLs

**Reviewed by:** Prikshit S. | Associate Project Manager - II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2018

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

Quite affordable and reliable software to run the XMLs. This is the best software to make internal entries in any website as it acts as an external tool. Simply put the WSDL location and start working.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

Crashes sometimes and responds slowly when executing multiple tasks on it.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me a lot to run the XML files. Tells the exact error line wise.

Easy API testing for software applications

  ### 47. Excellent tool for SOAP API testing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean W. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2018

**What do you like best about ReadyAPI?**

SOAP UI makes it easy to work with SOAP API services. As long as you know the WSDL address, the endpoints are easily exercised.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

There are some quirky behaviors of the UI that can be a little annoying, likely due to the product being written in Java rather than using native Windows UI components. As a result, it sometimes behaves oddly when resizing or using Remote Desktop. Additionally, the start up time can be painfully slow.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of existing SOAP services that we need to maintain, and SOAP makes it easy to keep track of them, make sure they are responding correctly, and test specific response cases for them.

  ### 48. Minimal Months with SOAPUI

Protects can be saved along with the content that is being sent to the services. This is useful to be able to educate new staff with examples of content that they can see and review. Basically showing them what the format is and what is required i'n the calls. Documentation typically never gets created so this helps others learn.

**What do you dislike about ReadyAPI?**

A little hard at first to figure out the syntax for speed scripts like Groovy. Need good offline contentof examples. At work there is no internet.

**What problems is ReadyAPI solving and how is that benefiting you?**
