QTRIX Reviews & Product Details

Calidat – Benchmarking, Value Management, and Cost Engineering with QTRIX Calidat develops QTRIX, a cloud-based software platform for product benchmarking, competitive analysis, Value Management, and Cost Engineering. The solution is designed for industrial companies that want to systematically capture, analyze, and make technical product data, competitive intelligence, and cost knowledge available across the organization. QTRIX – Making Product Knowledge Centrally Available In many companies, valuable information about competitor products, bills of materials, costs, teardowns, and completed analyses is distributed across different systems, files, and departments. QTRIX brings this information together in a central platform, creating a shared data foundation for Engineering, Procurement, Cost Engineering, Value Management, and other business functions. Products and components can be captured in a structured manner, compared with one another, and analyzed down to assembly and component level. Technical characteristics, images, documents, bills of materials (BOMs), cost information, and other product data can be linked and preserved as long-term organizational knowledge. Product Benchmarking and Competitive Analysis QTRIX supports companies in systematically analyzing their own products and those of their competitors. Benchmarking results can be documented centrally, evaluated in a structured manner, and reused for future projects. Over time, this creates a company-wide benchmarking and knowledge database that can be accessed by different departments. With QTRIX, companies can, among other things: * Structure and map their own products and competitor products * Analyze product architectures and bills of materials * Compare products, assemblies, and components * Compare technical characteristics and costs * Document and evaluate teardown results * Centrally store and reuse benchmarking knowledge * Systematically identify optimization potential Cost Engineering and Product Cost Management In addition to technical product information, QTRIX enables cost information to be captured and analyzed in a structured manner. This allows the platform to combine technical benchmarking with Cost Engineering and product cost management. Product and competitive data can be analyzed together to identify cost drivers and optimization opportunities and to support decisions in Product Development, Procurement, and Cost Management based on a reliable data foundation. Typical applications include: * Cost Engineering * Product Cost Analysis * Cost Benchmarking * Product Cost Optimization * Should Costing * Target Costing * Bill of Materials and BOM Analysis Value Management and Value Engineering QTRIX supports Value Management and Value Engineering processes by making technical characteristics, functions, costs, and benchmarking information available within a shared environment. This enables companies not only to identify improvement potential, but also to systematically apply insights from benchmarking and cost analyses to the further development and optimization of their own products. Preserving and Sharing Knowledge Across the Organization A key benefit of QTRIX is the creation of a central knowledge base. Insights from Benchmarking, Teardown, Cost Engineering, and Value Engineering projects remain permanently available and can be reused in future projects. QTRIX therefore helps companies make more effective use of existing product and competitive knowledge, avoid duplicate work, and make decisions faster based on information that is already available within the organization. QTRIX for Industrial Companies QTRIX was developed for the requirements of technically oriented organizations and is particularly suitable for industries such as Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Industrial Product Development. With QTRIX, Calidat brings together Product Benchmarking, Competitive Analysis, Cost Engineering, Value Management, and Knowledge Management in a central software platform. The objective is to transform product and competitive data into usable knowledge and help companies develop better products more efficiently and with greater cost awareness.
