What I liked best about Pure Signal Scout is its minimal and simple approach in its design and user navigation. Having the IP addresses, IP tags, domains along with other important elements such as graphs and timelines at sight is a detail that I enjoy very much because of the useful insight and data that provides as a whole. I love the concept of having all-in-one tool because I usually am used to using just one app for multiple functionalities. What I dislike is the lack of color and vibrancy of appearance of the overall platform. This seems bland and monotonous to me, which transforms it into something boring. This lack of feature or color does not affect how the platform works and its potential for efficient use. The company I work for is a staffing company for IT jobs. I work in the IT department, and one of my roles is monitoring email alerts with Proofpoint. As there is a high traffic flow of emails being sent in from external users, there is a high threat of malicious emails targeting employees. I often find myself investigating alerts and tracking the sender's IP address to assess the risk. This is where Scout Insight has been fully utilized to allow me to get further information on the IP and use that as a tool to assess the threat. Scout provides an abundant set of resources that can be used to perform threat investigation allowing for it to be a one-stop shop for all threat investigation requirements. I am capable of performing detailed IP and domain source analysis, observing trends on a timeline, and seeing suspected threat tags on domains in one platform without ever needing to leave the product. The user interface of Scout is very minimalist including very few visual distinctions to the user, and instead focusing purely on providing insightful content regarding potential threat events. Pure Signal Scout provides all the details I need when investigating a IP address or Domain in one handy location. I really like the ability to use the graphs to see activity over the last 30 days on a day by day basis.
