Postcoder is super straightforward to use and does exactly what I need it to—quick and accurate address lookup. The API is fast and reliable, and the setup was simple. Theres multiple options for address search and we are able to experiment with different options. We tried a number of different address lookup services before deciding to go with Postcoder.

Not only did we receive the most accurate address and location data from postcoder, but the help we received from the support team (especially Kit) and the easy to navigate admin portal made it an easy decision.

Works well, response is fast and in at least 5 years of use I think there has only been 1 issue which prevented postcode lookups from the service.

UI is clear and easy to use, and recently been improved.

There is also an api endpoint which you can connect your moniotoring system to so you can track remaining credits along with your other key system metrics.

1. The json endpoint for monitoring required contacting suport to find out about, after an incident when we ran out of credits. Docs have been updated, it's part of the /status request.

2. When you need to change payment method you have to purchase a new pack and set it up as auto top up, and then delete the original auto top package - rather than just being able to update you card details.

3. Not sure if there is a caching mechanism meaning that if you are not proactive a single user, or bad bit of code, can burn your credits down quite a bit on the same lookup.

4. Some postcodes have more addresses than the max response, another little gotcha. Be sure to check for the paging key which only appears when this is the case! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most important reason to use any address, bank or email checking service is it's reliability in giving you the correct answer. We have found Postcoderweb to be the gold standrad for this.

Certain datasets like the Eircode directory have limitations as to their trial usage that limits the amount of time development teams can have to integrate and test. There really should be a means to have unlimited development access to data and APIs without credit usage for those that have a production license. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Had really good customer support. After starting the trial I was contacted to understand our use case but was not pushed for a sale. We didn't need any support as the API documentation was sufficiently detailed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
