## Portable Reviews
  ### 1. Portable: Out-of-the-Box Connectors and a Super Responsive Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan S. | Business Intelligence, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Portable has had almost every connector we need out of the box. When Portable did not have a connector, the team was very responsive and had an MVP ready to go within a short time frame. We had almost no trouble connecting to our data warehouse and syncing the data into our database. The team at Portable has also been willing to work with our vendors whenever there may be questions about data differences between their UI and the data they're pulling out of the API. The Portable team is always seeking feedback and willing to turn that feedback into implemented solutions.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

There have been times where I'd have to find out about a failing sync by myself once our data didn't update. The team is always happy/quick to answer my questions but it would be great to get better feedback from the site on the reason for the failure and automatic alerts if a sync fails. They do have an alert system for Teams but they don't have one for Slack. Finally, it seems like Portable has information about sync times, etc. to that could let you know what is slowing down a sync if you are loading in data from a connector. It would be great to be able to find that data just to do some of our own troubleshooting instead of reaching out to the team.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable allows us to spend more time analyzing data and not working on pulling it from APIs.

  ### 2. True Data Partner with Second to None Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brendan F. | Sr Business Intelligence Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Ethan and his team's responsiveness and service are second to none. As a small team supporting all data and integration needs for all business units their partnership has been invaluable. They have built several custom API connections for us and each time I'm floored with the ease of development and implementation. They are a true partner and are invested in our success, not just another vendor.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

There have been a couple instances when they moved too fast and we weren't able to account for an edge case, but we have always been able to course correct and fix any issue. Initially large loads took a fair amount of time to process, however their platform capabilities have drastically improved since we started with them and that isn't an issue anymore.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable is our enterprise ETL platform and API partner for all data ingestion into snowflake

  ### 3. Portable Integrates Easily with Exceptionally Supportive Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melisa M. | Director of Marketing Technologies, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Portable has been incredibly easy to integrate into our system, and the team has been the most supportive group I’ve ever worked with.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

I don’t have any dislikes. The company is growing, and I can’t wait to see how it expands.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we don’t have a developer who can code API integrations, we rely on Portable to do the heavy lifting and pull all of our data into our own database each night.

  ### 4. Streamlined Data Integration with Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zach W.

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Honestly, it's the customer support for me. It's the people who are working there and their fast response time; they explain things to you. It feels like they are just like an embedded part of the team, and they're right there along the way whenever I need something. They'll respond as quick as thirty minutes and can get new things done for us within the same day that we request them. I just love having them act as an extension of our team. Also, the initial setup of Portable was super easy. I was able to do it in an afternoon; it was super straightforward, very quick and easy to do.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

I think the only potential drawback you could see is that the pricing model is, you know, you have to hit different tiers of connectors. You can't just buy one off additions like a la carte.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable helps us tap APIs to bring all disparate data sources into one place, eliminating the need for a data engineer, saving on headcount. It's the only provider capable of meeting our needs, where others like Fivetran and Stitch fall short.

  ### 5. Exceptional Support and Seamless Integration Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin T. | Data Analyst II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Portable?**

The Portable team is always on point when it comes to bespoke connector requests; they're super responsive and handle technical complexity with both speed and accuracy. They're always willing to go above and beyond when it comes to servicing any request and have been super easy to work with. The lifecycle of getting a flow up and running from source to destination is seamless and the team's eagerness to reach a final, sustainable state is truly appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

There are no concerns that I have about Portable's current state.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable is making it easier to perform ETL fucntions by providing custom connector support, saving time and creating a sustainable data infrastructure.

  ### 6. Effortless Data Integration with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zack C.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Portable?**

They're highly responsive and always just hop in and knock out what we need very quickly. They've been really great to work with. They also have a very reliable product, and we've had no issues. They've been quick to see where they can add value, which we've really enjoyed.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

No notes honestly. They're great.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Portable to pull data from various sources into our warehouse, solving the complexity of managing different API docs and ensuring smooth data flow into our warehouse.

  ### 7. The Portable team went above and beyond to ensure our connectors fit our needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendra B. | Founding Data Scientist, Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Portable?**

The team is SO fast to respond to questions or issues with their connectors. When one of our connectors wasn't syncing all expected attributes, the team worked with us continuously until we found a way to bring the data in. Another connector was a bit slow for our needs, and the team was able to speed up the sync time by more than 100x - within a day of bringing up the issue!
It's obvious that customer service is a top priority for Portable and that's while we'll continue to use them.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

I have yet to come across a downside to using Portable!

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable is a competitive integrations provider for a variety of data sources -- we work with all kinds of data so it's really essential that we have these options + the helpful team for troubleshooting when issues arise.

  ### 8. Absolutely love the product and the team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ibby S. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Portable?**

1. It's incredibly easy to use and very straightforward, with none of the tehnical faff of the other products. Super easy to set up and really flexible.

2. The support is literally next level. If there's an extension or an api change, the team is ON it. Incredibly well priced as well.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

Nothing specific to say here. Maybe some people care about self serve stuff, but the support is so fast that it doesn't matter that they don't have like a custom connector builder.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I ripped out fivetran and got all the connectors for literally 1/5 the cost

  ### 9. Easy Data Integration with Great Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff D. | Data Analytics Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Portable?**

We’ve only used Portable.io once so far, but it made the data integration process smooth and easy. Setting it up was straightforward, and the support team was responsive and helpful. We’re looking forward to using it more in the future!

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

We’ve only used Portable.io once, so it’s too early to point out any major drawbacks. So far, the experience has been smooth and we haven’t run into any issues.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable.io helps simplify and speed up data integration by connecting multiple sources without needing complex coding. This saves us time and reduces the hassle of managing data pipelines, letting us focus more on analyzing data and making decisions.

  ### 10. The Portable Team has been engaging, quick to deliver, and effective with their integrations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noah C. | Partner, Strategy & Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Portable?**

1000s of already built system api connections. Willingness to build out new connections. Speed and accuracy of new connections. Easy to use and navigate. Great communication approach and response rate.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

Just wish there were more connections to ERP systems (but I know this is in the works). Curious if write back functionality is in the future roadmap of capabilities.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to connect to backend data live in multiple systems enables us to have a close to live connection into our client's data to build out the needed custom reports and visuals they need in Power BI or Tableau. This gives us a better sales pitch and channel to approach companies using x software, while also helping us build out reports for current clients.

  ### 11. Great product for quick and easy data ingestion

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Portable?**

- The team is quick to respond and super helpful in solving problems and creating new connections.
- There are a lot of connections available that are relevent to e-comm businesses that Fivetran doesn't support.
- The product is easy to understand and simple to set up. We had a few connections going within minutes.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

- There are a few minor improvements that could be made in the UI, but these are superficial and I know the team has plans to work those out over time.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to move some Airflow custom connections to an automatic ingestion, but the tool we currently use for ingestion (Fivetran) doesn't support many of the systems we connect to. Portable either has these connections or is willing to add them, which really cuts down on our time dealing with custom connections.

  ### 12. Saved me so much time pulling GraphQL API data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda M. | Lead Data Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Portable?**

This company is amazing! I have been working for months to pull Shopfy GraphQL API data for various endpoints in my free time and kept hitting roadblocks. I was recommended to Portable by another Analytics Engineer and I am so happy he did.

After talking to the Portable team, they quickly agreed to stand up a new Shopify GraphQL API connector in their platform and equip it with all the enpoints I have been looking to get data out of. It was like magic!

The team at Portable is incredible and so easy to work with. Not to mention the product is very intuative to understand and easy to integrate into my datawarehouse

I will be coming to them again with more ingestion tasks. Lifesavers!

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

I'm sad that I did not find them sooner!

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamline data processes and reduce time to stand up API ingestions pipleines.

  ### 13. Outstanding support and super user friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen H. | Operations Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Portable?**

The team is super engaged and willing to help the end users even if it's outside their scope. We use Portable to get our Monday.com data into our Snowflake Instance. The connection was so easy, and the team helped us work through parsing the JSON into something our Snowflake users could query easily.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

I havne't found anything to dislike yet. Monday.com recently made changes to their APIs. Portable gave us a heads up this would be happening and immediately came to our aid when the changes impacted our incoming data. They worked with us, had us about 50% recovered on day 1, and then set up thier own Monday instance to fully understand our issues that were preventing full recovery. They had us whole again within 36 hours.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable is solving the issue of systematically pulling data from Monday.com and putting it into our Snowflake instance so we can then marry it to additional data coming in from other sources.

  ### 14. Connectors you can't find anywhere + on-demand connectors + best support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajan P. | Data Analytics Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Pelothara of connectors you can't find any where.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

They don't have the advanced configuration.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable helped us reliably and consistently bring data into the data warehouse from applications. Otherwise, we might have had to build our own connectors. They also assisted us in quickly building some of the connectors we needed. Overall, it was easy to get started and set up new data sources into the data warehouse. I highly recommend trying Portable for extracting data from applications.

  ### 15. Straightforward, high-quality, super easy to set up, and awesome support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dexter H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Portable?**

They have a straightforward and minimalist set up experience that makes it really simple to get data from external sources into my warehouse. I love how many data connectors they have, and their support team is really fast about updating existing sources to add new data if we need it.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

I can honestly say I haven't hit anything that I dislike so far. They focus on one thing, and they do it well

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Portable to import engineering, product, and sales information into our warehouse. From there we can run DBT models and answer key business questions in our BI tools.

  ### 16. Solid extract and load application, tons of connectors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John S. | VP of Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Support team is top notch. Ability to connect just about any data sources and if they dont have it, they can build it quickly. Cost effective. Set it and forget it. Super easy to set up.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

Needs extended support for incremental data pulls.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a cost effective solution for getting our data platform off the ground. Portable was a fraction of the cost of the other players in the market with just about the same outcomes. It scales with us. We also have many non standard data platforms and portable has been able to get all of them connected.

  ### 17. The hidden gem for Analytics Engineers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zach W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Portable?**

The team is the most responsive team I have ever worked with. Within 2 hours they will create a new integration for us. Can't stress how great their team is.

Their platform is also super easy to use which makes our lives super easy

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

For each integration you need a new destination. Not the end of the world, but adds one small step in the process

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes tapping random applications that no one else supports a breeze

  ### 18. The integration you need. Fast.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samad H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Portable?**

No frills. Does what it's supposed to do. Amazing customer service.

They will have a connector up and running for you in a few hours or a couple days. Hasn't broken yet.

Can't ask for much more.

Shout out to Ethan and the team.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

Nothing so far, hoping it remains that way!

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ETL for SaaS products hard to find elsewhere

  ### 19. Instantly integrate APIs where no other service can/will.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew B. | CTO, Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Portable?**

The confidence that I have a go-to integration option where no others exist. It just worked. Within hours of requesting a new endpoint, it was ready for me to trial. I like products that do exactly what they claim. In the case of Portable, that claim is the ability to spin up an integration in minutes. All I had to do was contact customer support, and it was done.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

Due to it being a young product, there were certain polish/features missing such as token based auth for Snowflake or detailed logging.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed to sync data from a new service that had a rich REST API into Snowflake. No other service provided this, and I didn't have the time / resources to write a custom integration myself.

  ### 20. Effortless Integrations with Unmatched Support: Portable is a Game-Changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Quick Turnaround: They built custom no-code integrations in days, not weeks.
Reliability: Consistent, real-time monitoring of our pipelines.
Ease of Use: Intuitive interface that requires minimal learning curve.
Cost-Efficiency: Eliminates the need for one-off data connectors, saving us time and money.
Responsive Team: Issues are addressed even before they reach my desk.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

Honestly, there's not much to fault here.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filling Gaps: Provides no-code solutions for integrations that were otherwise unavailable.
Focus: Frees up my time to concentrate on analytics, not pipeline issues.
Cost Efficiency: No need to develop custom data connectors, which cuts costs for us and our clients.
Data Access: Opens up a wider range of data sources that were not supported by bigger ETL players.

  ### 21. Great ETL tool with infinite connectors. No Frills, just right.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Portable?**

The incredible customer support and willingless to add new connectors to their product

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

The UI is a little clunky and could use some better features that would enable auditing.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving data from API to our cloud data warehouse at a low cost. This allows us to focus on data analytics, not data engineering.

  ### 22. FREE and quick way to build a data model from website

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Portable?**

I was able to bring data from a clients web application into Google Big Query with no coding and minimal configuration.

If anything in your flow fails the dev team emails you to triage the issue immediately instead of you writing a ticket (in my case because of not paying Google for where the data was landing, not a Portable issue)

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

I'd like more configuration settings for delta loads and to select individual table refresh frequencies -- that said I'm using this product entirely for free -- no complaints on the basic service.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly extract client data from ServiceTitan into a relational database for data modeling and analytics.

  ### 23. Switch to Portable as fast as you can

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew M. | Chief Technology Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Portable?**

The team at Portable has the probably the best Customer Support I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They worked closely and actively with us to get our connector provisioned and pull all the data we needed. They made implementation easy for us by being super proactive and available through the onboarding process. Portable's pricing model is also very easy to understand and incredibly competitive.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

There isn't anything I dislike about Portable. Their integrations just work!

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable makes it super easy to load data from all of our SaaS applications to our data warehouse. They even cover all the SaaS platforms that other tools ignore.

  ### 24. Reliable connectors, fast service for new requests or modifications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Portable?**

The customer support is great. They are fast to create a new connector for prototyping and quick to make modifications.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

All connectors are bulk ran each time so might not work best for really large data volumes. Mainly supporting REST/JSON API endpoints at this time, not so much for SOAP/XML.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable handles niche connectors, SaaS platforms other ETL services seem to ignore. Portable also offers some of the more popular connectors at a better pricing model than others.

  ### 25. Fast Development and Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Quick service and support when additional functionality is needed.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

There aren't complex options for conguring your connections, but once you have it setup it just works.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable had a solution for connecting a system to our Data Warehouse that other vendors did not. Not only did they have it, but they expanded their support for it within hours of us requesting additional functionality. Their support was incredibly responsive.

  ### 26. Great support, solid integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Easy to use product with fast and relevant support from their team when needed. Trival to implement and would use again!

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

When they started charging! There was a free tier, but looks like they got rid of it. Don't blame them, it's a great product.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data integrations for retial data feeds.

  ### 27. Excellent product with great customer service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will V. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Portable makes it incredibly easy to sync our system data from Hubstaff to Snowflake. It's now a breeze to use Hubstaff data in our BI dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

Minor: it would be nice if the portable included a portable_synced_at date in rows it inserts to snowflake. Also, it would be nice if portable did incremental syncs (only adding new data) instead of always saving the entire hubstaff dataset.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to sync Hubstaff data to snowflake to use Hubstaff data in internal reporting/dashboards. Portable does this for us - otherwise we would have had to write our own code to do it.

  ### 28. Easy to Use + Great Customer Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Most of us using Portable weren't familiar with it, but it's quite cimple to use and Ethan, Clouse and the team have been super responsive when we have requests to add in new endpoints or sources.

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

Probably the one thing that caused a bit of confusion was that accounts are individual so it is not very easy for the team to access our main setup, but there are workarounds.

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had data sources where we were generating so much data about our business, but weren't pulling it into our database because the cost was so high. Portable came in as a simple + cost-effective solution.

  ### 29. Lightning fast development so quick, you honestly won't believe it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elliott L. | Senior BI Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Portable?**

Long-tail connectors that no one else has, amazing support, great company

**What do you dislike about Portable?**

I don't dislike anything about Portable, they are great

**What problems is Portable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Portable helps any size company better activate their data through long-tail connectors that aren't developed by larger ETL providers such as Fivetran or Airbyte.
