What do you like best about pgAdmin?

What do you dislike about pgAdmin?

What do you like best about pgAdmin?

Simple user interface. It almost requires no expertise to operate and get started.

I am connecting to a remote database server.

Open-source and free to use.

Syntax highlighting for SQL.

Option to compare two databases and generate differences between them. It is a compelling option when you want to migrate a database and want only the difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about pgAdmin?

You always have to start the client through a shortcut. It would be better to somehow configure it as a background process that starts up with the windows.

There should be some macros to generate common SQL queries in fewer keystrokes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are other options like Dbeaver where you can do a bit more like generate ERD of the database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is pgAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am connecting to remote database servers.

You can add server groups and then servers for quick access.

I am running SQL queries and finding query execution plans.

I am exporting SQL results into CSV format.

I am exporting backups into Plain, tar, or other formats.

What do you like best about pgAdmin?

It is a very nice tool to monitor databases especially if you are using Postgres SQL, It provides a lot of functionality in UI which you have to write queries if you want to do that in the Terminal. It gives an outlook of the servers, their databases, and then tables in the database which is very helpful in analyzing. What do you dislike about pgAdmin?

UI provides a lot of features but it still needs an upgrade design-wise, functionality is good enough but when it comes to design it can be more attractive and useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
