## pgAdmin Reviews
  ### 1. Database management tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harrish A. | Harrish, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2019

**What do you like best about pgAdmin?**

It is very useful to store the data into database and its is very user friendly to import the data into the database. This pgadmin tool is also very easy to execute the scripts and it is easy to create table views, triggers etc.

**What do you dislike about pgAdmin?**

Exporting the data at the time of backup takes more time.

**What problems is pgAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We will store the data, access it easily. Easy query execution tool and also it is a opensource tool and it has the most advanced database management features.

  ### 2. Easy to manage database

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mengtian J. | Research Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2019

**What do you like best about pgAdmin?**

Good and easy-to-use interface. People with a few technical knowledge all can handle the platform easily.

**What do you dislike about pgAdmin?**

I personally feel like it does not work well for Mac

**What problems is pgAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage database - retrieve data, clean data, query data ect.

  ### 3. The best we' ve got!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George G. | GIS & Database Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2018

**What do you like best about pgAdmin?**

It's free, it is well supported (especially for an open source project), and it has a nice clean GUI.

**What do you dislike about pgAdmin?**

It is flimsy. It often crashes on start up and sometimes crashes on queries and backups via the GUI sometimes fail and it's SQL query panel is quite "clunky"

**Recommendations to others considering pgAdmin:**

pgAdmin 4 is a great improvement (over pgAdmin 3) on every front and new versions keep rolling out in a fast pace. If you intend to administrate or develop complex PostgreSQL databases you will have to use pgAdmin - and that's a good thing. It will help you immensely. It is intuitive and quite well documented. You must though refrain using the GUI for everything and if you are used to doing everything on your database via the GUI you will soon get frustrated.

**What problems is pgAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using pgAdmin I am able to administrate PostgreSQL with speed and ease. Using the dashboard in pgAdmin 4 (server status in pgAdmin 3) I can easily monitor and manage my database as the sessions, the locks, the transactions are all reported with clarity in real-time. The grant-wizard makes administrating an easy task. The comprehensive and intuitive GUI greatly speeds up development.

  ### 4. Greate Client Tool for PostgreSQL

pgAdmin is the official client tool for PostgreSQL. It lets you create and manage your databases. It lets you store multiple database connections. You can run SQL, Create database, create tables, insert data, create indexes all using simple steps. Its multi window environment lets you multi-task effectively. Great tool.

**What do you dislike about pgAdmin?**

If you have a poor internet connection, your database connection will eventually break, and pgAdmin will crash.

**What problems is pgAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage our databases using pgAdmin.

  ### 5. It worked as expected

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John Carranza R. | Programador auxiliar, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2018

**What do you like best about pgAdmin?**

The structure of the tables and their content is easy to see at a glance without entering the tables, their columns, and their Constraints.

**What do you dislike about pgAdmin?**

The speed of connections to the servers, as well as the execution of scripts, especially those that are somewhat large, becomes a very burdensome task from within the application.

**Recommendations to others considering pgAdmin:**

If you haven't used it, I recommend you start with version 3. Right now, its current version is 4, and while it's true that it's faster than version 3, it's a bit more complex.

**What problems is pgAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Configurations for various companies we work with.

  ### 6. PostgreSQL Admin tool

**What do you like best about pgAdmin?**

It is a good system, very stable and reliable for the management and development of relational database oriented to objects and free of open source.
The good thing about postgreSQL is that it is developed by a community that works in a disillusioned way and does not depend on a company or person.
PostgreSQL has several features that make it stand out from other database handlers such as: High concurrency, you can create triggers, Wide variety of native types, you can develop views very broadly.

**What do you dislike about pgAdmin?**

in its new version it is very difficult and complicated to manage, they changed several things and I do not think it has improved, I prefer to continue using pgAdmin III to compare its new versions.
Comparing other database managers is more complicated to develop tables

I have managed it for several projects developed in java and web that depend on the database and pgAdmin is a good database manager very stable and reliable

**What do you like best about pgAdmin?**

Currently I used version 4 and I like the way in which I can validate the connections of the users to the databases and the graphics that in the previous version I did not see

**What do you dislike about pgAdmin?**

This version I notice slower, the section in which one places the querys is as hidden

**Recommendations to others considering pgAdmin:**

I recommend it, especially for developers and new projects

**What problems is pgAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To validate the connections of the end users is excellent, since as DBA the first problem that manifests the end user is not being able to connect to the database, with Pgadmin I can validate and verify these connections and show graphically that they can indeed make a successful connection

**What do you dislike about pgAdmin?**

I would like to include a monitoring of the spaces of the databases and that the sending of alerts to the DBAs can be configured in order to reduce the risks of lowering the service to the clients, however the tool has worked perfectly for us during several years, there is always a renewal of the version by the administration community of pgAdmin with improvements and new facilities, there is the version for installation on machines with debian operating systems,

**What do you like best about pgAdmin?**
