We worked with Jenkins and other open source tools before evaluating Ozone. Other platforms will tell you if something works, but if there’s a break or any issues anywhere in your CI/CD processes, we come to know about it easily which helps in quick resolutions. Pipeline management is a breeze since it offers many task templates and even pipeline templates too.

There’s really nothing noteworthy to mention here. Even the free version of Ozone has enough features and generous limitations to support our daily activities. The agent setup is easy and since the whole platform is visual, pipeline and release management is much easier. So is the dashboard where we can see cluster level metrics across all our infrastructures which hardly any CI/CD platform provides at a sensible price.

The RBAC feature is too detailed and granular. This is definitely a good option for big enterprises as it gives them good control over their projects. But will take time to configure for a smaller team. Guessing that the newer releases must have made changes to make a few controls as non-mandatory to configure everything quickly for smaller teams. The configuration was very easy as the whole platform has a low-code UI, even for building pipelines. Coding knowledge is not at all required. Beginners also can easily configure and begin deploying on the platform. They even provided us with a free trial cluster and repositories and registries to get us started in just 15 minutes. Ozone effectively deploys our docker-container-ready applications to our Kubernetes environments. It has the best release management as I can plan and execute my CD pipelines and possess incremental rollout and rollback features for downtime management. Ozone doesn't get any dislike as it maintains and upgrades K8 versions, node configurations, and VPC settings across our deployment environments.
