By integrating with well-known DevOps tools across build, test, secure, deploy, and monitor stages, it becomes easy for users to work on it. We can easily collaborate, view logs, and monitor our pipelines, thanks to the user interface's simplicity. **What do you dislike about Ozone?** Ozone has a wide range of features and getting to know and work with them may take some time. Their documentation and the pre-sales team come in handy during such times. **What problems is Ozone solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ozone addresses several key challenges faced by our DevOps team. By automating previously manual and time-consuming tasks, it streamlines our software delivery process. Ozone's unified dashboard makes it simple to keep an eye on the operation and performance of our applications, Kubernetes clusters, and infrastructure. This thorough visibility allows for quicker problem detection and solution. Ozone's integration with well-known DevOps tools has streamlined our workflows and improved our teamwork. ### 2. Other platforms will tell you if something works, but if there’s a break or any issues anywhere in your CI/CD processes, we come to know about it easily which helps in quick resolutions. The premium paid vs open source is very minimal compared to the time and cost that my team is able to save which is a key parameter for us. **What do you dislike about Ozone?** Teams will need time to familiarize themselves with the UI and user flow, especially while setting up. But the visual guide does its best to guide new users through the setup. **What problems is Ozone solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our team is expected to build, run, and maintain complex CI/CD pipelines that are reliable. Due to templates available, we are now reusing our pipelines in many ways. Also, analytics were not really a requirement for us, but looking at the minute monitoring metrics that Ozone provides, we are definitely benefiting from them. ### 3. They supply an in-built vault which helps with safe secrets management which we can use directly in our pipelines. We used to store them earlier in repositories which now I feel is a primitive and dangerous practice. **What do you dislike about Ozone?** There’s really nothing noteworthy to mention here. Even the free version of Ozone has enough features and generous limitations to support our daily activities. Only catch is, it is free for a couple of weeks which could have been extended. But I see other platforms just offer a few days for trial access though. **What problems is Ozone solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had to manage multiple projects and scale on demand which was a real pain even after using GitLab to its fullest potential. Ozone has helped us tackle our scaling and pipeline management challenges. RBAC is very focused which is a boon. ### 4. So is the dashboard where we can see cluster level metrics across all our infrastructures which hardly any CI/CD platform provides at a sensible price. Since we’re using Ozone for both CI and CD, everything is available in one place and there’s no need to go to and fro between repos or provider tools. This makes team management much straightforward. **What do you dislike about Ozone?** Nothing much apart from the fact that the platform seems to be new. It should create an impact in the market given their pricing is the most convenient we could find and some of their features seem to be among the industry-first. **What problems is Ozone solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a service company working on multiple projects. Right now we are experimenting with the product fit for every project type but we’re sure that it should handle large-scale projects with ease given that they are built over Tekton which helps reduce the number of our pipelines. We’re yet to explore Ozone for running pipelines on private clusters (it comes with a whitelisted private channel in one of the trials). ### 5. The team is available for support whenever needed. **What do you dislike about Ozone?** The RBAC feature is too detailed and granular. This is definitely a good option for big enterprises as it gives them good control over their projects. But will take time to configure for a smaller team. Guessing that the newer releases must have made changes to make a few controls as non-mandatory to configure everything quickly for smaller teams. **What problems is Ozone solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted our engineers to enhance collaboration and take ownership of their builds and deployments for their code changes. Earlier we couldn’t do this as it required loads of training and time which affected their core responsibilities toward development. ### 7. Coding knowledge is not at all required. Beginners also can easily configure and begin deploying on the platform. They even provided us with a free trial cluster and repositories and registries to get us started in just 15 minutes. **What do you dislike about Ozone?** I do not see anything wrong with the platform as it has helped serve our purpose. **What problems is Ozone solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Ozone for deploying our microservices. It has helped automate our builds and deployments and move away from manual tasks. The UI is low-code and every developer can manage their own project, hence becoming accountable. ### 8. It has made it super easy for us to manage everything from one place. Also, there’s no need to script anymore and migration from legacy practices is far easier. **What do you dislike about Ozone?** I think they can work on expanding their user base globally, as their product is extremely capable but is yet to be adopted by the larger community. **What problems is Ozone solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were looking to move away from Jenkins. At the same time we wanted to avoid getting into the complications of Kubernetes ourselves. However, it seemed to take forever and the costs associated with it were huge, so we switched to ozone. It is low-code and fairly straightforward, so onboarding was quick. ### 9. It has the best release management as I can plan and execute my CD pipelines and possess incremental rollout and rollback features for downtime management. Each pipeline has a specific runtime view utility in which we can obtain our deployment logs and metrics and debug them in case of faulty deployments. **What do you dislike about Ozone?** Ozone doesn't get any dislike as it maintains and upgrades K8 versions, node configurations, and VPC settings across our deployment environments. It offers to enhance visibility, security governance, and collaboration to track our K8 cluster logs, events, and performance metrics in multiple regions. **What problems is Ozone solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ozone provisions attaching parameters and credentials critical for our TektonPipeline runtime execution. Its environment reservation feature allows me to manage and limit our deployment conflicts, and we can also schedule blackout time for planned downtime activities. Its artifact stagging helps with retrieving our artifacts and is downloaded & available in the runtime itself. Smart Deploy feature does multiple Docker pulls and pushes to our GitHub repository, and we can also run container scans as requested by customers. Deployment packages offered by Ozone enables me to quickly deploy NPM, Python or Java applications from its manifest file and enable rolling deployment features for our production environment. ### 10.
