Who is Oxylabs pricing best suited for?

Oxylabs's pricing is best suited for small businesses and professional developers engaged in regular web scraping, data extraction, and automation workflows. G2 reviewers from industries including market research, information technology, computer software, marketing, and e-commerce represent the core user base. The pay-as-you-go residential proxy plans attract budget-conscious small businesses needing flexibility, while fixed monthly plans suit mid-market teams running high-volume scraping operations. G2 reviewers from mid-market and enterprise segments gravitate toward Oxylabs's Web Scraper API and residential proxy tiers for large-scale data pipelines. Individual users and early-stage startups with minimal usage frequently flag Oxylabs's pricing as a barrier, making it less ideal for very light or occasional use.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Oxylabs?

Oxylabs's free trial offers limited evaluation access across its product range. The Web Scraper API and Web Unblocker trials provide unlimited duration but cap results at 2,000 each, while Datacenter Proxies offer just 5 free IPs. Residential, Dedicated ISP, ISP, and Mobile Proxy trials require contacting Oxylabs directly. Oxylabs's paid plans unlock full-scale usage starting at $0.59 for Datacenter Proxies per traffic, $1.20 for ISP and per-IP Datacenter Proxies, and up to $5.64 for Web Unblocker. Is Oxylabs considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers overwhelmingly rate Oxylabs highly at 4.5 out of 5, yet pricing is the single most cited concern across the review base. The recurring pattern of high ratings alongside cost complaints signals a premium service that delivers on its promises. G2 users frequently describe Oxylabs as more expensive than competitors like Bright Data and DECODO, yet many report returning after trying cheaper alternatives due to superior reliability and success rates. Oxylabs's pricing is generally considered justified for professional and business use cases where uptime, IP quality, and scale matter, though G2 reviewers consistently note it can feel steep for individual users, students, or small-scale projects.

"Limited Usability, Good Setup, but Needs Better Customization Options"

What do you like best about Oxylabs?

I appreciate that the signup process for Oxylabs was pretty easy. Trying out the platform was straightforward and didn’t pose any major issues, which I find valuable when assessing a new service. Additionally, I find it beneficial that I can decide the quality of IPs I require for my activities. This feature is particularly useful because sometimes I need an IP that isn't flagged by services like Cloudflare, and other times I could use a data center IP which is more cost-effective. This flexibility in choosing the type of IP helps me manage costs better by tailoring my needs more precisely. Furthermore, Oxylabs also provides a way to handle IP bans during web scraping activities, which is crucial when only a few high-quality IPs are necessary for effective data scraping, rather than paying for an excessive amount. Such functionality showcases Oxylabs' potential in addressing specific technical needs efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oxylabs?

While trying Oxylabs, I found that it did not meet my specific needs, leading me to switch to another provider. I have unique requirements and relatively low usage rates, which Oxylabs couldn't cater to effectively compared to another provider, particularly in terms of price and the flexibility of customizing the number of IPs. The price structure and similarity in offerings to other providers make it a less compelling choice. Additionally, the platform could benefit from providing better explanations and guidance for new users, particularly around technical details like different types of IP addresses and proxies. This lack of guidance can make it challenging for newcomers to understand and utilize the service effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
