I didn't need advanced knowledge to set it up; just by installing it, my web page's loading improved significantly, making its basic implementation very easy. Then I wanted to further improve the loading, and there I did need some help due to the number of options we can change, but it was worth it because it improved even more. **What do you dislike about OpenLiteSpeed?** If we want to manually configure all the features of this tool, the setup can be a bit complicated. On some occasions when I was configuring the tool, I had problems with my page loading, which caused it to lose its design. After much searching, this was because I enabled the option to combine the CSS and JS files. **What problems is OpenLiteSpeed solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me solve performance issues on my website, I always install it to improve loading speed. It also helps me increase my score on Google's PageSpeed Insights, which is very important for improving ranking. To give you an idea, before activating this tool, my website loaded slowly, for example, on Google's tool it showed a speed of 20% to 25% on Mobile, after activating OpenLiteSpeed it showed approximately 45%, and after making some manual configurations, I managed to increase it to 80%. ### 2. The fact that it support mod_rewrite makes it even better. **What do you dislike about OpenLiteSpeed?** No full .htaccess support(mod_Rewrite is fully supported through an .htaccess file though) No support for Major panels yet **What problems is OpenLiteSpeed solving and how is that benefiting you?** Highly-Performant and Affordable WordPress Caching Better Support than Nginx on Rewrite Rules which makes it easier to onboard users coming from Apache Support for CDN level Full page caching ### 3. I now exclusively use services using an OpenLiteSpeed stack for superior speed, performance and the ability to pair with the LiteSpeed Cache plugin. **What do you dislike about OpenLiteSpeed?** Nothing, but it's a shame more managed services haven't added it to their options yet. **What problems is OpenLiteSpeed solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm always comparing WordPress hosting, and all of my sites perform far better using OLS than the alternatives. Being able to combine with the suite of WordPress tools is invaluable, from caching, to optimisation, to CDN. ### 5. If you have your own VPS, you can easily deploy it with CyberPanel. WordPress and this webserver provide excellent performance together. OpenLitespeed is free as well. It also comes with its own Web access panel where you can configure almost anything related to OpenLiteSpeed. In addition, there is a live monitoring dashboard as well. **What do you dislike about OpenLiteSpeed?** I have been using it for a few months now and I have not seen any major problems with the OpenLiteSpeed server. Though, it requires technical knowledge on creating servers and VPS. I have also faced some issues to properly deploy it with servers that have more than 2 IP addresses assigned to it. **Recommendations to others considering OpenLiteSpeed:** Those who are currently using Apache 2, Nginx servers, OpenLiteSpeed will increase your server performance by at least 30%. Combine it together with your CMS and Memcache / Redis - and get your page speed score up. I found it much easier to manage than the above mentioned two **What problems is OpenLiteSpeed solving and how is that benefiting you?** First, I have solved the bottleneck of server response time. Improved WordPress performance up to 97% from 61% (GTMetrix). This resulted in more page views, SEO ranking slowly but surely going up. And generally, once I have done the configuration in a stable state, I do not have to touch it from time to time. It saves time.
