I have been using Octopus for over 10 years and it has always been super easy to install, maintain and use. It is a comprehensive tool for deployment orchestration which makes your software deployments reliable and repeatable. It has a rich feature set, yet it has been so well designed that it is rarely confusing to set up deployment pipelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Octopus used to provide not for profit organisations with a free licence. However that is no longer the case. This is a fairly common trend at the moment, where after lock in for years, a company starts charging making it difficult to do anything else but pay. I understand this economy means businesses need more and more revenue, though I'm not a fan of the way it is dealt with, particularly for not-for-profit organisations.
