## Netgear Switches Reviews
  ### 1. Netgear Review on Security Angle

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Netgear Switches?**

Netgear Community has good people and experienced persons for guiding us for any issues. Netgear Router and Switches are more secure and stable in my view. All product-related firmware and documentation like manual and every drive present in the download page of the product. Netgear Comunity has a private bug bounty program also which help Netgear to fixes and find the security loopholes in products.

**What do you dislike about Netgear Switches?**

Less Documentation about troubleshooting or firmware.

**Recommendations to others considering Netgear Switches:**

This is the best Switches for buying. Netgear Switches is very easy to use and you can configure very easily without any expertise. always Netgear Switches is very easy to installed and physical approach also very cool. Any person can use this for home use and campus and for enterprises use also.

**What problems is Netgear Switches solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to use the product. Helps in Configuration with easy to setup ACL and Port Security and other network security stuff.

  ### 2. All around great switches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan S. | Network Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Netgear Switches?**

Almost all their switches are well built-in metal cases, even their consumer brand, making them durable. Whether a home user is looking for equipment or a business, they seem to have a model that can fit any need.

**What do you dislike about Netgear Switches?**

Their web access can be pretty dated and tough to navigate around.

**What problems is Netgear Switches solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We would have small unmanaged switches getting smashed/destroyed due to their plastic housing, which Netgear's metal switch we have never had happen.

  ### 3. Great long lasting switches at a great price.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Netgear Switches?**

These switches are built solid, and the price is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Netgear Switches?**

I can't think of anything wrong to say about this product.

**What problems is Netgear Switches solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used these to allow more users in a building. We can double the ports for way less money.

  ### 4. Looking for smart/managed switches? Stick with Cisco SMB

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Netgear Switches?**

Depending on model, Netgear smart managed/fully managed switches can be a bargain. They're generally 3/4 to 1/2 the price of comparable Ciscos. Lifetime Warranty with next business day replacement at this price point is impressive.

**What do you dislike about Netgear Switches?**

Management interface is painful to use. If you have trouble, be prepared to visit the community forums because it's usually quicker to get user to user help than from Netgear. About that lifetime warranty -- they do honor it, but it's a bit of a crutch since support isn't great, instead of being able to work out an issue with support, you end up RMAing a device, which may or may not be the fix for your issue. Lastly, I have never had switches with more dead ports than GS724T switches (thankfully, not too many of those in use at client sites anymore).

**Recommendations to others considering Netgear Switches:**

I would recommend Cisco SG series switches any day over Netgear ProSafe equipment, but if price is paramount, would go with ProSafe switches before going with dumb switches to save a buck.

**What problems is Netgear Switches solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned above, problems with the management interface, support, and reliability.

  ### 5. Solid products, some small build quality issues

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Netgear Switches?**

I purchased an unmanaged PoE switch. It works and works simply.

**What do you dislike about Netgear Switches?**

On my first unit, the power cord slot was wobbly and would come loose and power off. Wasn't an issue on a replacement.

**Recommendations to others considering Netgear Switches:**

Good pairings at fair prices. Can get higher quality, but diminishing return.

**What problems is Netgear Switches solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy network management, reliable connection to multiple access points.

  ### 6. Netgear

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Netgear Switches?**

Average switches.
Not expensive and can be used on many scenarios

**What do you dislike about Netgear Switches?**

There is no cli and the GUi is poorly made

**Recommendations to others considering Netgear Switches:**

Be aware of the poor gui and no cli availability

**What problems is Netgear Switches solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They solve issues when an average switch is needed and budget is low
