  ### 4. Superb tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shreyansh J. | Business and Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about MongoDB Atlas?**

The quickest and simplest method to visualise MongoDB data is via MongoDB Charts. Create graphs and charts, build dashboards, and connect to any MongoDB instance as a data source. Then, share them with other users to facilitate collaboration.the capacity to produce standard data visualisations, such as tables, number charts, heat maps, scatter plots, and bar charts.

**What do you dislike about MongoDB Atlas?**

Only data saved in MongoDB may be seen using MongoDB Charts. You must choose a different data visualisation tool or transfer your data to MongoDB if it is kept in another data source.
It is not possible to combine data from many MongoDB collections and display it on a single chart using MongoDB Charts. Each visualisation only shows information from a specific Data Collection. This limits the use of MongoDB Charts to the creation of straightforward data visualisations. If your company is genuinely data-driven, you might need to seek for a sophisticated BI solution.

**What problems is MongoDB Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The document-based data in arrays and document objects can be handled well by MongoDB Charts. When you employ a layered data structure, you have flexibility and may organise your data in a way that best suits your application while still being able to provide potent visualisations.
Aggregation is a feature that is incorporated into MongoDB Charts. In order to extract insights from your data, you may apply a variety of metrics to your gathering data and carry out computations like mean and standard deviation.

**What do you like best about MongoDB Atlas?**

I can configure the data fields and columns in Mongodb according to client requirments. This allows navigation of the UI simple with respect to the design of the tables. You can also easily download the json files for deployment.

**What do you dislike about MongoDB Atlas?**

The configuration of the data fields requires indepth knowledge and understanding. Otherwise, errors will be frequent for new users. The connection of the tables is quite complex and needs to be reviewed thoroughly.

**What problems is MongoDB Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The database configurations for our program needs to be designed for simple indexing. Through mongodb, we can list and configure the database according to the document categories and client requirments.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumit S. | Python Developer at Tops infosolutuons, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2022

**What do you like best about MongoDB Atlas?**

The most liked this about this DB is pipeline like in other DB lookup is available but the processing speed of Mongo DB is far better compared to others. one more thing that is if your project DB schema is not completely defined although it is changing with an ongoing project that time you don't need to de migrations or migrate every time you just send data as key-value and data will insert or update so there is no boundation like you can send this data or anything

**What do you dislike about MongoDB Atlas?**

There is nothing for dislike but only one thing can become better in other SQL we have the mapping of ORM for a different framework like when I worked on Django that time I user Django ORM so all lookup and data operation becomes easy compere to direct DB queries so please add ORM feature in Mongo DB

**Recommendations to others considering MongoDB Atlas:**

If your project has some complex DB schema like you have to change your DB table structure because of new requirements then use this or for time complecity

**What problems is MongoDB Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I said we can add any kind of data at any time we don't need any kind of migrations for this proper table schema so when I was working on my previous project (Wellness) that time client daily change requirement so too much time was wasted in DB configuration but after some time we use mongo db that time this issue was resolved this project about to e-commerce purpose to at one time we need to much data get from the different table so mongo lookup was very useful and it was executed in less time so customer will happy with the website and for any web portal time complexity is most important part

**Reviewed by:** Venkatbabu K. | User Testing, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2023

**What do you like best about MongoDB Atlas?**

For deploying and storing charts databases, one of the most important types of NoSQL DBs, I'm using MongoDB charts. In fact, it contains the data in a format called BSON which is similar to JSON but has a BSON id. Additionally, MongoDB provides a very important feature: it supports file storage. It does not require that the data have a schema, in contrast to a relational database. To interact with it, it offers libraries in many different languages (such as python, java,.....etc)

**What do you dislike about MongoDB Atlas?**

It will be difficult for beginners or junior engineers to set up MongoDB and its services since they need to have a basic understanding of how non-relational databases and MongoDB charts to function. With regard to this scenario, MongoDB Charts includes thorough, convenient documentation that covers each service and provides usage examples.

**What problems is MongoDB Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best database tool ever, in my opinion. I worked with SQL and Graph databases. However, I prefer MongoDB charts.

  ### 14. Simple tools that pack a punch

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan J. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2023

**What do you like best about MongoDB Atlas?**

Once the data is plumbed in, it can be super easy to manipulate the data and share it with various team members. Initially, I was a bit intimidated by how you have to construct the queries, but after using the tool for 3-4 months now, it's clear it's a priority for Mongo, and they've released a steady stream of features that improve usability.

**What do you dislike about MongoDB Atlas?**

The fact I have to constantly convert times to EPOCH to the millisecond to ensure I'm looking at the appropriate snapshot of data :P I get why that's how it works today, but I'm eager for this to become simpler in the near future.

That, and each month we need to reset our global filters so that "x value from this month" is actually showing from the start of THIS month and not including data from the prior month.

**What problems is MongoDB Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data democratisation. Simple of that, between my CTO and I we can take in a query from any number of teams, figure out the best way of displaying that and then set and forget.

  ### 15. Best cloud based Database service

It simplifies the process of deployment. Also, it helps to manage large data and scaling of the MongoDB database in cloud; it allows us to deploy the MongoDB database across multiple clouds and regions, it also provides a security feature

**What do you dislike about MongoDB Atlas?**

It is a paid service, so it is not available for those who don't have a decent amount to pay. Also, it has a significant dependency on MOngoDB databases, so we can not integrate other databases like SQL, MySQL or Oracle databases

**What problems is MongoDB Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MongoDB database is scalable using MongoDB Atlas, offering high availability features. Hence, it replicates data across multiple servers within a cluster so that if one node fails, another will take over.

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2023

**What do you like best about MongoDB Atlas?**

MongoDB Charts integrates directly in MongoDB databases with no need for data extraction or transformation, and mostly I like this product because of its user-friendly interface.

**What do you dislike about MongoDB Atlas?**

If the data we store in other types of database or file format, you need to extract and transform the data before using it. The second thing is if we user another database as the primary database, it requires additional setups.

**What problems is MongoDB Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MongoDB Charts simplifies the process of creating visualizations by providing a user-friendly interface and no need for complex programming or query languages, and it enables real-time data visualization and reduces the time and efforts.

1) Like how they used document-based data and gave us the flexibility to change their structure however we want.
 2) Aggregate Functionality - This makes it easy to process data by performing calculations and operations and applying excellent logic.

**What do you dislike about MongoDB Atlas?**

Overall I like everything about this product except the limitation of data sources.
My data was from the DynamoDb, and at last, I had to move all data to mongoDb (Of course, time-series collection was also one of the reasons to move to mongodb).
But I think there should be an option to accept multiple data sources for the charts.

**What problems is MongoDB Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mongodb is solving the problem of data visualization, especially of reporting in our application's dashboard.
It makes it easy for us and our clients to understand the data through report charts instead of reading the raw data.

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2023

**What do you like best about MongoDB Atlas?**

MongoDB does what SQL cannot do, it handles large datasets very easily. Fastest in the market to give results to even multi-lined queries. MongoDB has the largest storage making it the best feature of Database software

**What do you dislike about MongoDB Atlas?**

It has many benefits which sometimes becomes a problem, it has the largest database hence it feels empty when you have small data and tend you store more and more, which eventually gets troublesome for the user.

**What problems is MongoDB Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my company, we had MySQL server and we switched to MongoDB, MongoDB allows you to store more data than any other available market tools. Hence it benefits me and my firm to store data in one place instead of multiple databases.

**What do you dislike about MongoDB Atlas?**

When I need to use another chart so i find that there is a limited chart we can customize and some, how i feel that the cost is little bit high; also i feel flexibility is not that much great

**What problems is MongoDB Atlas solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very good when we don't have that much time, and we want to see the whole data on a single page, so its helpful also we can integrate with different platforms,we can customize 7data can update data, so its cool
