"Easy-to-Use, Trusted Data Security Across Networks"

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

"Intuitive Azure Integration with Reliable, Scalable Cloud Security Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

Microsoft Defender for Cloud offers an intuitive dashboard and integrates smoothly with Azure services, which makes day-to-day security monitoring easier. It remains reliable at scale, and its recommendations help me prioritize the issues that matter most, reducing risk while saving investigation time. Onboarding is straightforward and supported by useful guidance, and the AI-driven threat insights add valuable context to alerts when triaging them. Pricing can add up as cloud usage grows, but the visibility, compliance insights, and time saved on investigations still provide solid ROI for teams already invested in Azure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

The dashboard can feel dense, and pricing is sometimes hard to predict as coverage expands. Some integrations need extra setup, onboarding takes time for new users, and AI alerts can occasionally require manual tuning to reduce noise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive cloud security with actionable recommendations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

What I like most about Microsoft Defender for Cloud is how easy it is to get a complete picture of our cloud security in one place. We have resources across multiple cloud platforms, and having everything visible in a single dashboard saves a lot of time.

The security recommendations are actually useful and prioritized, so the team can focus on the issues that matter most instead of chasing hundreds of low-value alerts. I also like how well it works with other Microsoft security products, which makes investigating alerts and responding to incidents much smoother.

The Secure Score and compliance dashboards have been helpful for tracking our security posture over time, and the built-in vulnerability assessments have helped us catch and fix issues before they become bigger problems. Overall, it has made cloud security management much more organized and proactive without adding unnecessary complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

Our biggest hurdle has definitely been the learning curve. Because it packs so many capabilities under one roof, it takes a beat for the team to get comfortable translating every recommendation and deciding what to tackle first. You also still get hit with alerts that require a bit of manual validation before you can confidently say, "Yes, this is an issue," or "No, we can safely ignore this."

Keep a close eye on the pricing, too. Once you start turning on advanced protection plans and onboarding more resources, the costs can ramp up faster than you’d expect. Definitely take the time to map out your licensing plan early on.

Lastly, the reporting could use a bit more flexibility. The built-in dashboards get the job done for day-to-day work, but building custom views tailored for different audiences—especially management—usually requires some extra heavy lifting.

Even with those gripes, they're relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. The sheer visibility, deep security insights, and peace of mind the platform delivers make it well worth the investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Cloud Security with opportunities for more visibility and customization."
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

I really appreciate Microsoft Defender for Cloud for giving us centralized visibility of all our Azure resources, which is great for monitoring and ensuring the overall security in the Azure cloud. The detailed actionable recommendations, such as enforcing MFA and securing storage accounts, are incredibly valuable as they help in identifying security gaps and misconfigurations. These recommendations are based on risk prioritization to ensure we follow best practices and remain compliant with industry standards like PCI DSS, ISO27001, and SOC2. It's also very convenient to have automated assessments for weaknesses and vulnerabilities, which save us time compared to manual checking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

There's room for improvement in the compliance management section where I don't see much flexibility to mark individual controls or recommendations as not applicable without overall impact on the secure score based on our clients' needs and working sector. Also, I need more customization in the dashboards and reporting area, where I can have my own dashboard flexibility as per the requirements of the particular standard being applied to us. We need customizable role-based dashboards and their access, like for SOC Analysts, SOC Engineers, and DevSecOps because not all should have the same visibility and usage. "Security Guard: Microsoft Defender for cloud"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

Microsoft Defender for Cloud takes advantage of Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP) capabilities, giving me a complete and clear view of security and compliance across our cloud infrastructure. It helps me prevent misconfigurations and threats, respond to incidents, and remediate vulnerabilities in my cloud environment. The tool provides security protection across major cloud environments like Azure, AWS, and GCP, and it has helped me secure critical data online from cyberattacks, security threats, and vulnerabilities in our Azure environment.

I also used the assessment reports with strong graphics, which made it easier to understand our security weak points and where we needed to improve. Defender for Cloud offers free trial versions, so you can try it first and then decide whether to use it to protect your environment. It helps quickly identify issues and sends notifications about unusual behavior in the environment. Defender for Cloud also updates online, which helps keep it ready to protect against both older and newer types of threats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

There is too much custom security configuration, and it requires a strong security background to set up properly. Improving the real-time threat detection a bit could enhance the overall experience and help mitigate threat latency. Customer and quality support also needs to be improved a little more. "Single Pane of Glass for Security Monitoring Across Azure, AWS, and GCP"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

Security teams can monitor security alerts and configurations across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in a single pane of glass. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

Defender for Cloud charges separate, metered rates for each individual component, including Servers, Databases, Containers, and Storage. Essential advanced capabilities like Attack Path Analysis and continuous agentless scanning require premium plans that add up quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Security Dashboard with Helpful Continuous Compliance Monitoring"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

I like most is centralized security management. It provides a single, unified dashboard to monitor and manage security posture across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and on-premises environments. Along with that continuous compliance monitoring also very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

It's complex pricing model is one thing that looks difficult. As the multi-tier licensing is confusing and quickly becomes expensive as we try to scale across multi-cloud env. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
