"Intuitive GUI, Flexible Workflows, and Excellent Engineering Support"
5/5
What do you like best about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT)?

The GUI is intuitive for users of all technical abilities, MFT integrates very well with the rest of the Opswat product lineup. There is huge flexibility with users, authentication sources, user groups and workflows to get files processed and through the system. Performance is good and again the GUI lets the user know progress. From an admin point of view, reports are comprehensive and exceptions such as file blocks a reported well. The ongoing cost for support and maintenance is reasonable, which includes all AV engines' signature updates. access to engineering support has been excellent. What do you dislike about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT)?

There is nothing functionally sub-optimal about MFT or the wider Opswat architecture. Where there have been minor shortcomings in complex workflows we have wanted to implement, the features have been added to a development roadmap and been implemented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT)?

I find MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT) incredibly easy to use and very intuitive. It just gets the job done so easily, and I'm really grateful that we've got it. I also love the fact that it's incredibly customizable, with options like having the sandbox and the deep CDR. The ability to add things in and customize it how we want is just amazing. From an administration point of view, it's incredibly easy to use, and the Opswat team themselves have been absolutely fantastic in communications and building everything with us. Honestly, it's been amazing working with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, Reliable File Transfers with Advanced Threat Protection"
5/5
What do you like best about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT)?

One new aspect I particularly like is the improved visibility and control over file transfer activities through centralized monitoring and detailed audit logs. The seamless integration of advanced threat detection directly into the transfer workflow adds an extra layer of security without impacting performance. Additionally, the platform’s scalability and support for multiple protocols make it easier to adapt to evolving business and compliance requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT)?

While the solution is robust, the initial setup experience could be simplified with more guided configuration options and clearer best-practice templates for common use cases. Enhancing the flexibility of reporting and dashboards, as well as offering more granular role-based access controls, would further improve usability. More transparent or flexible pricing options could also benefit smaller teams or organizations with lower transfer volumes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a distributor we always prefer to test products ourselves before recommending them to partners and customers. MetaDefender MFT was one of those products that quickly impressed us. The file sharing experience is simple but what really stood out was the security. Features like multiscanning sandboxing and threat prevention are not just marketing slides. "Secure, Policy-Driven File Transfers with Centralized Logging"
5/5
What do you like best about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT)?

As a Service Director at a global IT integrator we handle a lot of sensitive client data and system generated reports across diff environments. MetaDefender MFT helps us keep internal file movement encrypted audited and properly supervised without creating extra overhead.

I appreciate the centralised logging and policy-driven routing. Reports from managed systems are automatically delivered to the right department, and the built-in security controls, incl. the new Aether and AI-based engines work really well in the background. It reduces the chance of mistakes and gives extra reassurance that files are properly inspected before reaching our customers' environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT)?

Nothing. It works as expected and offers an exceptional add-on security layer between clients and us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Large File Sharing and Bulk Uploads with MetaDefender MFT"
5/5
What do you like best about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT)?

I tried MetaDefender MFT for the first time yesterday after downloading it from AWS as a trial user and I was honestly impressed. I wanted to see if it could support sending large 3D graphics files to external partners and big enterprise clients, because for us this is both a reputation and a security issue. The bulk upload is great and the drag and drop just works great. Sharing stuff was super easy with the guest user thing and even full folder share. I am not really into automation but it still moved my files to the partner's SFTP by the end of the day so that was cool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT)?

Nothing so far. It works perfect for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ (MFT)?

One thing I dislike about MetaDefender Managed File Transfer is that its advanced security features can require a bit of configuration and fine-tuning before everything works exactly as expected. While the platform is powerful, new users may find the initial setup and policy customization slightly complex. Once configured, though, it runs smoothly and delivers excellent protectio Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
