What do you like best about Mapbox Mobile?

The library contains everything we need to draw different objects, rotated overlay images, or popup message windows above the map they provided.

Also, you can apply different styles to the map, and change the properties of the objects on the map.

You can use not only standard MapBox maps but also integrate OpenStreetMap maps, by example. You only need to know the proper URL of the map tiles server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Official documentation could be wider and deeper.

I have used Mapbox in Android native development.

It allows me to create a stable Java application, that shows maps with different interactive features.

What do you like best about Mapbox Mobile?

I never seen apps like this before, I totally recommend to download it!, the fast use when your open the map and the customization with the website, the great API compatibilty I recommend like a user and developer, like developer it's very easy to create apps I created like 10 apps with maps using only Mapbox Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mapbox Mobile?

sometimes my phone are warming but not all time, but I would like that the documentation of the API can be more specific and updated, for example I develop apps in Unity 3D, but i found more information in Web and Android that in Unity 3D Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. There are tons of map styles available with Mapbox

2. It’s very easy to customize the map tiles

3. Beautiful base maps that can be modified via click-editing

4. Extensive documentation

I have used Mapbox in building two things

1. An AR application that showcases the junk/pollution in outer space.

2. In a geo-spacial analysis on a map interface.

Benefits:

1. Mapbox has plugins ready for engines like Unity and Unreal.

2. With Mapbox JS it's very easy to build maps on a web application.

3. Mapbox supports other web graphic libraries like deck.gl or even kepler.gl which is an excellent geospatial analysis tool for large-scale data sets.

What do you dislike about Mapbox Mobile?

It is not available as a framework specific library, if you want to use mapbox in web you have to import jquery as a dependency Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mapbox Mobile solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my project I required to plot all nearby garages with their own logos and extra information like phone number text address pincode contact person name, using mapbox it was very easy to create those custom banners for geo tags, so it become easy to showcase garage identity on map using mapbox once the user selects any of these garages then we required to get user location user can either select their current location any continue or they can search a specific location using an input bar which provides suggestions based on user input from the mapbox REST APIs I also needed to restrict the search functionality to a specific geoboundries it was possible using mapbox REST APIs after getting the text based address I needed coordinates of selected location to plot it on the map for that I used Mapbox's reverse geo-coder API Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mapbox Mobile?

Mapbox is one of the largest providers of custom designed maps for websites and mobile apps. Their service is used by GitHub, Pinterest, Foursquare, and other popular companies. And Mapbox moves with the times, offering advanced features such as geospatial mapping and augmented reality (AR).

The majority of data Mapbox uses is openly available, and Mapbox supports a community of volunteer mappers. They often provide the freshest updates, including fast-changing location data. Mapbox data sources include OpenStreetMap (OSM), USGS, Landsat, Natural Earth, and OpenAddresses.

Mapbox offers many tools to help you integrate maps and other Mapbox online web mapping services – such as Directions, Geocoding, and Static Images – into a mobile app. In order to keep the Maps SDKs for iOS and Android small, Mapbox provides different APIs for interfacing with Mapbox web services: the Mapbox Directions API, Geocoding API, and Static Images API. Relatively weak coverage. There are many places where Google has better coverage than OSM based services. The reason for this is mainly the fact that Google Maps gets continuous updates. What do you like best about Mapbox Mobile?

I have used Mapbox for one of our biggest client's project in Sweden. Even though I was new to Mapbox, the Documentation & platform, Data sets, tiles, designing part, and Api were so easy to understand and implement. A dedicated technical support system also gives a significant edge as compared to other platforms. I have also used Mapbox Api in my final year project and in my personal portfolio. What do you like best about Mapbox Mobile?

Vision SDK offers a nice AR view while driving that’s not too distracting. One example is the the persistent arrow shown on the road which points to the destination and appears under vehicles on the route as to not obstruct the driver’s view of any vehicles in front.
