I also like being able to transfer the data into excel. **What do you dislike about Manhattan SCALE?** Data does not always transfer into the waves. The clean UI offers so much to the environments which might give us outbound data. SQL Server scripts can be easily integrated into it. They have good support who comes out to help with all sort of queries. It is evolving very fast with changing needs of clients. **What do you dislike about Manhattan SCALE?** You can face problems in customizing the product though using is very easy. It is still not a complete solution for all warehousing needs. To start with they have to give a more interactive UI. **Recommendations to others considering Manhattan SCALE:** It is worth checking out this great Warehouse Management System. **What problems is Manhattan SCALE solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has made our team to imbibe the knowledge of warehousing. It was very flexible but still is very basic and did not fill all our needs. Integrating it was super easy with our other applications. After giving a lot of good options with every update it remains on our radar. ### 5. Certainly prefer this tool. Customer service is good and people were friendly. There is lot of interesting functionalities on warehouse management. Their design phase was outstanding **What do you dislike about Manhattan SCALE?** We have had issues with generating the correct reports to catch the right date range of orders, and for that reason will occasionally have to run a report that will catch anything that was missed. The cost has always been challenged **Recommendations to others considering Manhattan SCALE:** It's been a great tool to learn warehouse management on, using it to learn all the different aspects of warehouse logistics, such as inbound receiving, sorting stocking to outbound picking, packing, and manifesting as well as the inventory control aspects. **What problems is Manhattan SCALE solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having our own dedicated WMS team that writes our scripting from SQL Server is a great help, and we have recently undergone a substantial go-live software update to Scale, which is never easy, but wasn't as rough as it could have been. Using additional software that Scale has to constantly communicate with in our company, such as Dovetree and Accuterm MDS, ours is a bit complicated, especially having multiple virtual warehouses to keep in balance at the inventory level, but we make it work. ### 6. User training, user training and user training will be the success of implementations for Admins/Manhattan could set-up all your business requirements but if your end-users are not training then it will be a more bumpy run to a successful implementation. **What problems is Manhattan SCALE solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a third party logistics company which help retailers deliver and manage their inventory. The benefices with Manhattan has been that SCALE helps us achieve our goals by giving in us a system where we could conduct an efficient process and maximized our ROI with supply chain intelligence reports which help tack efficiencies across departments (inbound/outbound) ### 12. I could manage my employees remotely, check their productivity over a shift, and verify each piece that I was expecting had actually crossed my dock. **What do you dislike about Manhattan SCALE?** Window within a window. Platform wasn't very intuitive at all. Lots of manual work was required. It seemed like all of they screens within the program, despite all being a part of the same workflow, were very "silo'd." Also, the equipment/hardware (ck3's and label printers) that we used with the program would frequently fail. The software might have been too robust to run on our equipment, but it was frustrating. **Recommendations to others considering Manhattan SCALE:** Nothing worse than reconciling a small piece during a cycle count then weeks later having to figure out which LPN you need to add back to clear your rejected shipment. Research each reconciliation on the front end to make sure they're justified. **What problems is Manhattan SCALE solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking inventory. When following processes, we were able to greatly reduce shrink. ### 13. SCALE accommodated a single design that allowed a simplified approach for distribution in our smaller facilities while supporting advanced labor planning and guided activity needed in our largest facility. **What do you dislike about Manhattan SCALE?** The integration into our core ERP system required significant effort from our consulting partners. It took about 6 months to stabilize once we went live. **Recommendations to others considering Manhattan SCALE:** Worth comparing to any other Tier 1 solution. It is especially competitive with the distribution offerings from other Tier 1 ERP solutions. **What problems is Manhattan SCALE solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had multiple systems running distribution in the company. Any attempt at enhancing or standardizing business process required multiple designs and redundant expense. We were stuck. I'd really like to define custom validations that better fit our business processes. **Recommendations to others considering Manhattan SCALE:** As with any software consideration process, you should explore the many options and see how the products are being used in production settings.
