"Efficient and Reliable Task Management with Seamless Slack Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Linear?

I find Linear very easy and convenient to use. It's fast and reliable, consistently meeting my expectations without any delays. The integration with Slack is particularly impressive, ensuring that we receive every update promptly, which enhances our communication and keeps everyone in the loop efficiently. I also appreciate the integration with GitHub, as this means our tech team's changes and PR merges are seamlessly updated on Slack, thus enhancing workflow transparency. Additionally, Linear's initial setup was straightforward and intuitive. It is not overloaded with features, making it easy to understand and operate, which is a significant advantage. Generally, my experience with Linear has been very positive, and I find it to be an excellent tool for managing our operations efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linear?

I think earlier their mobile app, at least the iOS app, was not that good. I haven't used it since, but my experience from at least six months ago was not positive. Apart from that, Linear has not very good analytics or reporting capabilities. Unlike Asana and other ticketing tools, Linear's analytics are lacking, forcing me to integrate it with Google Sheets to perform customer analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Project Management with Developer-Friendly Tools"
5/5
What do you like best about Linear?

I appreciate how Linear enables easy structuring of initiatives, projects, and tasks. It's great how simple it is to link dependencies and organize sprints. I find it quite developer-friendly, thanks to the simple API and intuitive shortcuts. It's super straightforward, focusing on core parts, which makes it super easy to use. I also like the easy shortcuts for most actions, and the API can be easily integrated with LLMs to generate a comprehensive backlog with little effort. The usability, cost benefits, and smooth initial setup make Linear the right choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linear?

I find automations are quite limited, and I would love to have the ability to create low code workflows within Linear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linear?

It’s starting to feel complicated. They keep adding more and more features, and I’m finding that getting my actual work done is becoming difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Linear Keeps Small Teams Working Efficiently"
4/5
What do you like best about Linear?

Linear is a fantastic tool for small teams that want to work efficiently. It’s refreshingly opinionated, which is exactly what you need to avoid getting stuck in the nonsense that comes with other similar tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linear?

It took me a bit too long to set up all my workflows, custom statuses, and everything else. It would have been much easier if there were templates I could customize to fit my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Developers, Expensive Scaling"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Linear?

I find Linear very comfortable to use compared to most apps. The design and UX are so appealing that they actually make me want to use it. Tags are particularly comfortable for organizing tasks. I also love the design of the platform, which makes it feel intuitive and user-friendly. Plus, the management system in Linear means I don't need to constantly control engineers; they're effectively managed by deadlines within the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linear?

I don't like that I have to pay per person. It becomes costy if you have 10 people in the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A intuitive platform than many project management tools but still has room for improvement"
3/5
What do you like best about Linear?

I really like the clean, minimalist interface and the overall simplicity of the platform. Unlike many project management tools that feel cluttered with features and dashboards, Linear feels light and easy on the mind, helping me to be focused on my tasks without feeling overwhelmed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linear?

Sometimes, the desktop app becomes stuck and requires a full restart, which can be annoying when you're neck deep in a task. Although, the platform is clean and minimal, certain functions could be more intuitive or accessible. I’d love to see the platform become more user-friendly in terms of navigation, especially. These small issues can make the experience feel a bit tedious at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Ticket Tracking, Needs UI Polishing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Linear?

I love that all the conversation can happen off Linear as well, like in Slack, so I don't have to leave Slack to update things or open new ones. From Slack, we can open different types of tickets that are then assigned and filed based on predefined Linear workflows. This greatly speeds things up on our end, as there's no context switching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linear?

I find the UI can sometimes be hard on the eyes because everything looks visually flat. I feel like Jira had them better organized, for example. I'd suggest making it less flat, visually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool, not so good reports"
4/5
What do you like best about Linear?

The tool is easy to use, you can easily track cycles and create projects and issues easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linear?

The tool is very good, but the reports aren't very user-friendly, and it's sometimes difficult to calculate metrics that help the team measure, for example, velocity, tenure, etc.

Integrations with QA tools could also be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Tool for managing your everyday projects"
4/5
What do you like best about Linear?

As a Sr. Product Manager, I use Linear every single day to manage sprints, prioritize tasks, and keep the team aligned. What I love most is the clean, minimal UI and how effortless it feels to plan and track work. The speed is unmatched compared to other tools—no lag, no clutter, just a smooth experience. The keyboard-first navigation and shortcuts make me significantly more productive. I also appreciate how well it integrates with tools like Slack and GitHub, giving me a streamlined workflow across product and engineering. Linear makes it easy to stay on top of roadmaps and execution without feeling overwhelmed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Linear?

One limitation I’ve felt is with epics management. Currently, epics feel too lightweight—I’d love the ability to create a full-fledged epic structure, where I can build modules inside an epic, and within those, create tasks and subtasks. This would allow more depth and hierarchy in planning complex projects. Right now, we make it work with tasks and projects, but for bigger initiatives, a more structured epic framework would be a huge value add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
