LIBER*M Mainframe Modernization Suite Reviews & Product Details

LIBER*M Mainframe Modernization Suite enables enterprises to migrate large, complex, mission-critical mainframe applications and databases off legacy z/OS and GCOS8 (Bull) environments with maximum speed, accuracy, and auditability dramatically reducing infrastructure, licensing, and operating costs while preserving decades of embedded business logic. Built on mLogica's AI-Governed + Deterministic Modernization approach, LIBER*M combines language-specific Small Language Models (SLMs), trained on decades of transformation data, with deterministic automation pipelines. AI accelerates discovery, documentation, code understanding, and test scaffolding; deterministic pipelines and human validation control what ships. Every transformation is repeatable, traceable, and audit-ready. The suite supports every major modernization pathway repurposing, refactoring, replatforming, and rearchitecting through integrated components: • LIBER*DAHLIA Automated discovery and assessment of the entire legacy application estate, building a governed inventory of applications, dependencies, data structures, and workflows • LIBER*BLE Intelligence AI-driven business logic extraction that surfaces undocumented business rules with a visual editor for validation • LIBER*TULIP Automated code refactoring of COBOL, Assembler, Easytrieve, Telon, PL/I, Natural 4GL, and other legacy languages to Java, C#, and C++ • LIBER*IRIS Automated data and database migration from ISAM, VSAM, Db2 z/OS, IMS DB, IDMS, and Adabas to relational targets such as Oracle, Db2 LUW, and SQL Server, with full reconciliation controls • LIBERZ / LIBER8 / LIBER*Batch Z/8 Replatforming of z/OS CICS, GCOS8 applications, and batch environments to Linux • LIBERTP and LIBERCOBOL Transaction processing for COBOL/C applications in Java EE on Linux, plus a fully compatible enterprise COBOL compiler with flexible subscription licensing • LIBER*VIOLET Automated migration of schedulers including BMC Control-M, CA 7, and Dollar Universe Post-migration, TRAK*M extends the platform into run-operate-maintain, with AutoTest and AutoManager producing release-gate evidence packages what changed, how it was validated, and why the system is certified safe to promote. Behavioral equivalence between legacy and modernized environments is verified through automated testing, reconciliation harnesses, and parallel-run validation at every stage. LIBER*M is vendor-neutral by design, integrating with AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, and leading ISVs without single-stack lock-in. It has been proven at enterprise scale across Fortune 500 shipping companies, national government agencies, and global insurance firms including rare, complex estates built on Bull GCOS8, Natural/Adabas, and exotic legacy languages. Who it's for: CIOs, CTOs, and VPs of Infrastructure at Fortune 1000 and public sector organizations seeking low-risk, evidence-backed mainframe modernization with demonstrable cost savings and regulatory-grade auditability.
