Laravel Shift is an automated way to upgrade Laravel applications.

## Laravel Shift Reviews
  ### 1. Laravel Shift makes upgrades as simple and automated as possible.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy B. | SaaS Solutions Architect / Certified AWS Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Laravel Shift?**

It gives out clues for things that are not upgraded and needs addressing and most of the things needed to be automatically upgraded are handled and placed as a git commit message.

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

The only thing I dislike is that Laravel Shift has to access the repository directly and this could be an issue on some client who wants no one else accesses their codebase. Another is that, you can't upgrade from one version and skips several versions. You need to upgrade incrementally from one version to another which might take time but I guess it's what makes your upgrade stable.

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Laravel Shift has always solve the process of upgrading specific features per version and documented it well in the commit messages and made suggestions what to look out for and maybe address it manually.

  ### 2. Best Version management Tool for laravel

**Reviewed by:** Amit Kumar D. | Laravel developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

2.Best valuable tool and quick to manage the software performance by giving upgrade without any hassle.
3.Fruitful for those whose projects are in production and wants quick upgrade opf their tools in laravel.

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

1.One problem i found that we need to upgrade for each version which increases its cost.Mostly our projects are in laravel 5.6 and now its almost going to be 10 and for this i need to pay for each upgrade.

2.For the frontend with vuejs and react i couldnot find its shifting which can be troublesome.

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its great tool which saves time and manpower for the upgrade of projects based on laravel framework.
Next for the enterprises level project it becomes hassle and takes lots of manpower to upgrade which it does quickly.

  ### 3. Every laravel developer who wants to save time must check out this tool.

**What do you like best about Laravel Shift?**

Before the shift, it takes too much time to get your site upgraded to the latest laravel version, but with the shift, you are just a few clicks away.
Not, many tools are available as a shift but it always is ranked one against competitors.

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

While shifting my app from webmix to vite i have to do a some of manual work

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Upgrade my laravel site to the latest version
- Converting bootstrap template to tailwind
- shift from webmix to vite
This all shifts successfully increased business performance

  ### 4. Nice tool to upgrade but might require some manual work

You might need to do some manual work to fully upgrade, especially if the project uses external composer packages that are not still available with the latest Laravel versions.

It helps to keep the project with the latest Laravel features, hence, you will have the latest security updates and nice characteristics for a nicer development experience.

  ### 5. Streamlining Laravel Upgrades with Laravel Shift

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Laravel Shift?**

Focus on best practices and code quality. The service not only upgrades your code to the latest version of Laravel but also incorporates modern coding standards and techniques.

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

Cost. While Laravel shift can save development time and reduce the risk of errors, it comes at a price. Some of the developers may find the cost to be too high for their needs or budget.

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used Laravel Shift on multiple projects and have been impressed with its efficiency and accuracy. It increased my productivity and services. I highly recommend Laravel Shift to any Laravel developer looking to streamline their upgrading process and improve the quality of their code.

  ### 6. Best tool to upgrade your Laravel project

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nihal A. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Laravel Shift?**

I had a Laravel project and it was at Laravel version 5.7. At first, I was a little worried about how to do it but a friend suggested me Laravel Shift and it was awesome. The sprint to upgrade the project changed from 3 months to 2 weeks. It migrated the project within some time and the developer just had to make some minor changes.

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

The price is a bit on the higher side. Secondly, it sometimes does not migrate the product properly and after every migration, the developer will have to do testing to complete the project and fix the Internal Server Error.

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Laravel is an old language. Because of this the projects are at older verion. But now since the support of these versions are ending, we'll have to update the verion which is a very hectic task. For this Laravel shift helps us and saves a lot of time and effort.

  ### 7. A perfect shift of development towards more modern and efficient way

it is time efficient and has the best approach to guide the developer.

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

I think the price is a bit more costly on one side and on another side, it does not migrate the product properly

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To decrease the time frame of the project and assist the developer in development. It has reduced my time and effort.

  ### 8. Laravel Shift - Upgrading...

No need to worry about the dependencies. We can stop pushing off the upgrades anymore.

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

Some refactoring mechanisms are a little bit too much.

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more time-wasting upgrades are required. Worth the money you pay.

  ### 9. Laravel Shift is an awesome automation tool.

**What do you like best about Laravel Shift?**

I have been working with Laravel since a long time and the issue is that most of my application have become old. With Laravel Shift, it is so smooth to automate the migration from my old applications to keep them updated.

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

One of the areas where Laravel Shift lags is the cost. Also, getting familiar with Laravel Shift is not that smooth as initially I faced alot of dependenies issues leading to irregular migrations.

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Laravel Shift has helped me keep my applications updated in a very efficient manner which ultimately saves my time and effort.

  ### 10. I like Laravel Shift. It has helped me keep my apps updated.

**What do you like best about Laravel Shift?**

The way Laravel Shift upgrades my outdated applications and packages without me having to do anything in an automated way is commendable. Also, Queue system in Laravel Shift is really helpful while using mail service or notification service.

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

Sometimes, while using Laravel Shift I encounter version mismatch issues that make me scratch my head and waste my time.

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Migrating from the old Laravel applications to the latest ones is where Laravel Shift is very helpful for me in an automated way.

  ### 11. Makes it easier to upgrade your Laravel app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Laravel Shift?**

Integrations with Github on pull request, so you feel like what can be breaking changes is appropriately handled.

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

On the pricier side and fairly confusing with all the options what it will cost, an all-inclusive price would be excellent.

**Recommendations to others considering Laravel Shift:**

If the price they charge seems insignificant, there is no excuse for not using Shift, if you are updating older Laravel applications.

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shift upgrades Laravel quicker than I would myself. It is still easier to use Shift than manually upgrading, even when issues occur. With the newer releases of Laravel, the problems seem fever than the old 5.x days were breaking changes were more common.

  ### 13. Laravel Shift - Easy Laravel Upgrade for your app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moses M. | Senior Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Laravel Shift?**

I like that Laravel shift intergrates well with Github, Gitlab and Bitbucket to connect to my laravel application repositories since my code is split between these services. The upgrade process is seamless and the User Interface is easy to use. Laravel shift supports Docker and therefore it can be run locally for those who want to keep their code private or have a local git server .

**What do you dislike about Laravel Shift?**

I have used Laravel shift for quite sometime and the only downside I find is the pricing which is a bit high since you are charged per project.

**Recommendations to others considering Laravel Shift:**

Its robust and so far I have not any issues with the service so it comes highly recommended.

**What problems is Laravel Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Laravel shift to automatically upgrade my laravel projects after Laravel releases a major update. This me time as it will take long to update more than 50 projects
