&lt;p&gt;For structural analysis specifically, Ansys Mechanical feels like the more natural center of gravity, especially for stress, fatigue, vibration, and physical test correlation. STAR-CCM+ becomes really interesting when structural behavior is tightly coupled with thermal or fluid effects. For automotive teams doing both, the deciding factor may be how much of the workflow genuinely needs to stay multiphysics.&lt;/p&gt;
