Makes my job so much easier **What do you dislike about MarineTraffic?** Cost is a factor in everything. If you could add a couple other features like future track in my price point it would be a godsend. **What problems is MarineTraffic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ability to know exactly where vessel. Logistical planning is tough these days. Not enough drivers to pull from port to deliver. This allows us the ability to let our trucker know when we are expecting things and it is reliable. ### 2. The system is very easy to set up and use. Having access to the location, speed and direction of local vessels of interest to myself or other local businesses help us to stay on schedule and be aware of any problems or delays. **What do you dislike about MarineTraffic?** I have not found anything that I don't like about Marine Traffic. We used to be able to view the monitoring stations on the map, and that is a little more difficult now, but it is only a minor inconvenience. **What problems is MarineTraffic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Marine Traffic is a vehicle traffic monitoring service. This includes large commercial vessels and indeed any vessel that would like to enable AIS transponders. Some uses are locating ships or even containers aboard a ship, or tracking the current location of fishing vessels or pleasure craft. Being able to know the current location of a fishing trawler from our local fleet and knowing the current course and speed help us to avoid possible interaction between the vessels. ### 5. It updates information for each ship. Serves and unifies everyone in its database. It's a web service, so you don't need to download it. **What do you dislike about MarineTraffic?** The service is paid, and although the initial plan is affordably priced, it is limited in many options.
