## About JMP
JMP, data analysis software for Mac and Windows, combines the strength of interactive visualization with powerful statistics. Importing and processing data is easy. The drag-and-drop interface, dynamically linked graphs, libraries of advanced analytic functionality, scripting language and ways of sharing findings with others, allows users to dig deeply into their data, with greater ease and speed. Originally developed in the 1980’s to capture the new value in GUI for personal computers, JMP remains dedicated to adding cutting-edge statistical methods and special analysis techniques from a variety of industries to the software’s functionality with each release. The organization's founder, John Sall, still serves as Chief Architect. To see a full list of data connectors please visit https://www.jmp.com/en/software/analytic-workflow/data-connectors

 ### 4. JMP Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek B. | Graduate Admissions Assistant, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2016

**What do you like best about JMP?**

I think that JMP is another great software. While my organization does not use the software everyday or very often, when the software is in use it really makes our lives easier. The program is very efficient and allows for a great deal of organization to be in place.

**What do you dislike about JMP?**

I do not like how the software is designed. The program is a bit tricky to get to learn how to use it but when you do begin to learn and understand the software, it becomes more simple. The usage of the software is not done everyday by myself or my colleagues but when we do the it, there are improvements in our overall productivity.

**Recommendations to others considering JMP:**

JMP is a great software because it allows for each user to create and grow their own programming. The software is nice because each time you use it, the software begins to pick up your preferences and also can give the user more opportunity for growth within the software and each of the programming details available

**What problems is JMP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A.. I do not use the software often but the software does allow for a great deal of organization and certainly does help companies that are using data analytics and other forms of information storage.

 ### 5. JMP is excellent for design of experiments

**Reviewed by:** Niharika G. | Change Management Theme Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2017

**What do you like best about JMP?**

JMP is excellent for creating DOEs/design of experiments and to analyze DOE data

**What do you dislike about JMP?**

JMP has to broaden its horizons in terms of analyzing experimental datasets

**What problems is JMP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using JMP to analyze data on a field experiment we collected data on

 ### 6. JMP is a good basic statistics program

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about JMP?**

I like that it is possible to use JMP without learning a programming language. It makes it easy for people that don't have a strong statistical background to perform basic statistical functions.

**What do you dislike about JMP?**

I don't like the fact that it is difficult to program. It would be nice to have the option to program (maybe using SAS) for those users who understand programming languages.

**Recommendations to others considering JMP:**

JMP is a great beginning statistics program. The graphs are difficult to edit, so I do not recommend using it for graphing.

**What problems is JMP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JMP for statistical analyses, primarily for running regressions. I find it difficult to run more complicated analyses in JMP.

 ### 7. Good modeling capabilities, bad user interface!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2016

**What do you like best about JMP?**

JMP has a broad range of graphs and analyzes that is can run with your data. The outputs are professional looking and if you are in need of unusual charts, JMP is a good place to go.

**What do you dislike about JMP?**

Entering data is not the most user friendly process and many things are not intuitive, especially when you get into more complex models.

**Recommendations to others considering JMP:**

Less expensive than other modeling packages, so if you can get over the user face issues, than JMP is a good choice!

**What problems is JMP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoping to do multivariate statistical modeling. We ended up moving to use SIMCA, but JMP is still a good option for many people.

 ### 8. Friendly interface, good results

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2016

**What do you like best about JMP?**

User-friendly interface with intuitive buttons and menus.

**What do you dislike about JMP?**

You cannot save the graphs you plot and edit them later, I always have to re-plot them.
Also, I would like more options for personalizing graphs.

**Recommendations to others considering JMP:**

I use JMP for basic statistics, and the graphs are very simple as well. It is a great tool to get a quick analysis done, specially if you are not familiar with SAS programming.

**What problems is JMP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I realized that by using JMP I cut down the time I need to create simple reports and basic statistics.

 ### 9. Great product, need some optimization

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2015

**What do you like best about JMP?**

I like JMP because it can execute many functions that are also available in SAS Enterprise Guide with a substantial lower price tag. My clients loved it and I'm sure you will.

**What do you dislike about JMP?**

Actually, there is nothing that I don't like about this, simply because it was definitely much user friendly and intuitive compared to SAS Enterprise Guide

**Recommendations to others considering JMP:**

Quite straightforward to use. Enjoy data mining.

**What problems is JMP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was helping my client to do segmentation, clustering and predictive modeling to find out and predict which are my highly valuable customers that will opt in to receive email/content notifications from my client.
