What do you like best about JMP?

Other competing programs fail to match the query, DOE, data analytical, and graphing tools of JMP. I use this program to simplify and complete engineering tasks. The DOE tool is indispensable. I no longer have to make my experiment fit the DOE. Instead, the DOE now fits my experimental needs saving substantial time and money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JMP?

It would be great if JMP had a site license option. Because this is not available, the company uses a competing program as the corporate standard. By having a site license with a fixed number of simultaneous users, my company would probably purchase more licenses and make this program the corporate standard. What do you like best about JMP?

I feel JMP is a great tool to teach statistics. I use it in my biological statistics class because of its ease of use, great interface, yet still powerful features and capabilities. Students seem to like it because of the GUI, as well as the simplicity of conducting statistical tests. I also think it is a good doorway to more complex statistical analysis, whether conducted by JMP or some other program like SAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JMP?

While the interface is great, I wish there were more immediate and direct "help" options within the program. Maybe even something like tutorials you could run (within the program, not having to download or look on the internet) when you ask to conduct a test for the first time. Maybe use some sort of real-language systems to enable the program to tell you a suggested test to run based on certain input. At times, some of the output is also a little confusing, especially for students that are just learning - getting large tables and graphs as output, when all you want is a p-value, can be daunting.
