Having used ipstack on a number of my sites for more than a year and a half, and having tried out almost all available geolocation services, I can confidently say that it is the best. Our requirements included getting an easy, dependable solution to integrate seamlessly into our systems and provide us with accurate data on the users' country, language, and currency.
This was less than an hour of integration, and the results have indeed been impressively accurate, with very few errors unless users were on a VPN. And although we used only the most basic features of their API, it has been more than sufficient to meet our needs.
What's truly special about ipstack is that it's consistent and super-easy to deal with. The rest I've tried were either inaccurate or way too cumbersome. Ipstack does what one would intuitively believe the service should do, and the prices are reasonable; for this reason alone, it's worth a look to anyone searching for a reliable geolocation API.
