"A handy tool with some room for improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about IPQS?

The primary advantage I've found with IPQualityScore is its straightforward and effective functionality for IP reputation insights. The platform allows me to query IP addresses efficiently, helping me identify potential risks or issues with the IPs that appear in our system alerts. This capability is particularly valuable given that my use case is more focused on security and network management rather than comprehensive fraud detection. The ease of integration and the depth of data available, even on the free plan, have been instrumental in streamlining our processes for monitoring and assessing IP reputations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IPQS?

While IPQualityScore serves well for my basic need to understand the reputation of IP addresses, I've encountered a few drawbacks. Primarily, the service's pricing structure and focus seem overly geared toward extensive fraud prevention features. This doesn't quite fit my requirements, which center more on IP reputation insights rather than broad-spectrum fraud detection. Furthermore, although I don't heavily rely on advanced features due to my lower usage needs, I find the lack of access to these features under more affordable plans somewhat limiting. "I've used this product in three consecutive roles so far!"
5/5
What do you like best about IPQS?

My personal favourite feature of IPQS has always been the mass IP lookup tools and IP fraud scoring in general. Alot of my roles have been based in fraud prevention and AML, and the oversight this tool has provided on IP activity has been invaluable in my assessment of jurisdictional risk time and time again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IPQS?

The only downside I've come across with IPQS is not necessarily a downside of the service, rather a downside of IP lookups in that you can look at multiple sources and get different results, however I've always found IPQS to be the more accurate in the context of the particular case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Daniel Naqvi of IPQS

We appreciate your feedback! It's great to hear that our mass IP lookup tools and IP fraud scoring are valuable for fraud prevention and AML roles. We understand the significance of accurate IP oversight for assessing jurisdictional risk. While we recognize the variability in IP lookup results, we're glad you find IPQS more accurate in your cases. Your input is invaluable for our ongoing improvements. Thank you for choosing IPQS!

What do you like best about IPQS?

A lot of great features but we haven't used all features. We use it occasionally to check emails signed up in our Wordpress site. It is easy for me to upload the csv list and use the free quota (100 a day) for our case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IPQS?

limited free quota daily. But free has its cost, no complaint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good service to detect digital fraud"
3.5/5
What do you like best about IPQS?

Well documented API with recommendations on how to interpret their scoring algorithm. Their data is perfect for a scenario where you want to block a small subset of transactions for manual review while letting the remaining transactions proceed unhindered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IPQS?

There isn't enough supporting data provided to justify their fraud scoring algorithm. As a result, their data cannot be used to automatically decline an transaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Daniel Naqvi of IPQS

We truly value your feedback! We're happy you value our clear API documentation and scoring algorithm guidance. We recognize the need for data that enables manual review of certain transactions while maintaining smooth processing for others. Thank you for choosing IPQS!
