It uses a database of IP addresses associated with cities and other relevant information like time zone, latitude & longitude. ## IPBase Reviews ### 1. The problem is that the web interface is not easy to use. The API does not implement into what we are using it for. When the site works, it works, but when it is stlow forget it. It does work in retrieving ip coordinates. I will give it that. As for customer service Ihave reached out muliple tims with no responses. **What do you dislike about IPBase?** The main issue with the system is that it is really slow. Even when logging in it takes forever you to log into your ipbase.com account. I currently work on Fiber and should not have any speed or connection issues. The system should be easy to use but this slowness is what makes it difficult to access functions and features. There is no ease of implementing. **What problems is IPBase solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was supposed to improve and increase the function of our api's and sdk through integration. So far the only benefit we are getting is the extensive documentation benefit, The slowness is really an issue. ### 2. It has many surprised features, we can use it frequently, easy to use and implementation is also easy. it integrates with the system as well. I have contacted customer support in case of help and they are prety prompt. **What do you dislike about IPBase?** I am not sure wether it will also give the geolocation where IP phones are used, like in themiddle of the ocean or North or South pole. **What problems is IPBase solving and how is that benefiting you?** IP base is a real time geolocation loopup, which will tell us the geolocation of the system anywhere in the world.
