"Powerful Supplier Research Tool with Clear Trade Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about ImportYeti?

What I like best about ImportYeti is how much sourcing intelligence it gives you in one place. The UI is simple and easy to navigate, even though the underlying import/export data can be complex. I can quickly look up companies, see their shipment history, understand supplier relationships, and identify manufacturers that competitors may be using.

Performance-wise, the site is fast and the search results are easy to filter through, which saves a lot of time compared with manually digging through trade data. I also like that the value is very clear: it helps with supplier discovery, competitor research, and market validation without needing expensive research tools or brokers.

The data is especially useful because it connects different pieces of information together in a practical way. Even without complicated integration's, it gives enough context to support real sourcing decisions. The on boarding is straightforward because the platform is easy to understand quickly, and the search experience makes it simple to start getting useful results right away.

The best part is the intelligence layer: ImportYeti turns raw shipment records into insights that are actually useful for finding suppliers, checking credibility, and understanding where products are coming from. It makes global trade data much more accessible and actionable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImportYeti?

Honestly, there is not much that I dislike about ImportYeti. I have reviewed and compared other similar sites, and ImportYeti seems to offer the most useful features in one place. It provides strong supplier research, shipment data, competitor insights, and an easy-to-use interface, which makes it stand out from the alternatives.

If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be that the amount of data can take a little time to sort through at first. But overall, compared with other platforms I have looked at, ImportYeti gives me the most value and there is very little I would change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful for identifying active e-commerce brands"
5/5
What do you like best about ImportYeti?

I use ImportYeti primarily as a research tool to understand which e-commerce brands are actively importing goods into the U.S. Being able to see shipment history and supplier relationships in one place is genuinely useful. It gives a clearer picture of which companies are actually operating at scale, as opposed to just having a storefront.

The interface is straightforward, and once you get used to the filters, it’s easy to narrow in on specific companies or product categories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImportYeti?

The data is only as current as the underlying customs records, so there can be some lag. That’s not a flaw in the platform, just a limitation of the source data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Like having x-ray vision into supply chains"
5/5
What do you like best about ImportYeti?

What I like most is how quickly it takes me from a question to an answer. The interface is clean and intuitive: I can type in a company and immediately see its supplier list and shipment history, with no manual or training required. For someone sourcing manufacturers and doing competitive recon, that speed really matters. I can vet a supplier’s actual shipment record or trace a competitor’s product back to the real factory in a couple of minutes instead of days. It consistently surfaces the exact information I need without forcing me to dig for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImportYeti?

Honestly, there’s very little to complain about. The pricing feels fair for the value I get, which is usually my first gripe with tools like this, and it isn’t an issue here. If I had to point to anything at all, it’s simply the nature of customs data: ocean shipments routed through a freight forwarder can obscure the actual factory. That’s an industry limitation rather than an ImportYeti problem, and in practice it hasn’t gotten in my way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Site for Import Data—more search possibilities"
5/5
What do you like best about ImportYeti?

I have tried many, but this is the best program for finding information about imports and for locating potential customers and suppliers. It is very easy to use and a lot of information is free. There are many useful links, for example to a customer's or supplier's website.

But it can take a lot of time to find everything. I have tried premium access and that makes it very easy and saves a lot of time.

With the power query, you can create a search query and export everything to Excel with just one mouse click.

The data contains hyperlinks to Importyeti, where you can find all additional information that you need without searching. As a result, I had a complete file of importers, buyers, and their products within a very short time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImportYeti?

Nothing, everything that you need can be found. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ImportYeti Makes Supplier Discovery and Competitive Research Easy"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ImportYeti?

ImportYeti is a great tool for market analysis. When I’m looking for specific products, I can check which suppliers deliver to big companies. I can also use it to see which other companies my current suppliers already deliver to. Overall, this gives me a clear overview of the market and helps me understand it better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImportYeti?

I don’t see any real downsides to using ImportYeti. The only thing is that you need to invest a bit of time to understand the features and where to find the information you’re looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"IY Data Brings Clarity to Global Shipping Market Efficiency"
5/5
What do you like best about ImportYeti?

Can never have enough data. IY helps me to understand the efficiencies and inefficiencies of the global shipping marketplace. After 40 years in container shipping, it's easy for me to "read the room", however, so many changes in supply chain patterns over the years expose my clients to types of peril that are easily identifiable to me, using IY data elements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImportYeti?

Not a dislike so much as the fact that this data is complex, very complex - even for an Outlier like me to benefit from. It's not a IY issue, but for the average user, unlike a power user like me - the user needs some significant background in AMS elements & interpretation for the user to benefit 100%. "The absolute best tool for supplier discovery and competitor research."
5/5
What do you like best about ImportYeti?

I love how accessible ImportYeti makes customs data. Before this. The visual relationship graph is my favorite feature it makes it incredibly easy to see exactly who supplies my top competitors and who those suppliers work with. The interface is clean, fast, and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImportYeti?

Honestly, there isn't much to dislike given the value it provides. Sometimes the search function requires you to be very specific with the company name (LLC vs Inc), or the data might be slightly delayed because it relies on US Customs updates, but that is standard for this industry. "Once you discover ImportYeti, you won’t need to look anywhere else."
5/5
What do you like best about ImportYeti?

Previous Response: What I like most about ImportYeti is the sheer depth and breadth of information it provides. Similar sites often hide essential data or only offer limited insights, which makes it difficult to see the full picture. ImportYeti, by contrast, delivers comprehensive analytical data across extensive time periods, making it an invaluable resource for market research and competitor analysis. Another major highlight is the user-friendly interface. The UI feels genuinely intuitive and does a great job of presenting complex information through graphs, visuals, and clear descriptions. Because of that, it’s easy to understand key insights at a glance, and the overall data-gathering process feels both fast and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImportYeti?

I’m currently very satisfied, so instead of listing “dislikes,” I just have a few suggestions for future growth. First, while the North American trade data is flawless, it would be incredible to expand that same level of detail to truly global coverage. Given ImportYeti’s track record, I’m confident they’ll get there step by step. Second, I’d love to see faster update cycles. The current monthly updates already provide vital information, but moving to a bi-weekly (every 15 days) schedule would make this tool absolutely unbeatable. "Connecting the Dots Fast!"

The consolidation of market-relevant info, packaged together in an intuitive format. It helps me quickly connect-the-dots before engaging, while seamlessly providing info on similar suppliers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImportYeti?

I've only been interacting with ImportYeti for a few months, and have yet to find myself criticizing anything about it. It's a lovely tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Data Extraction, Impressive Power Query"
5/5
What do you like best about ImportYeti?

I use ImportYeti to understand the type and volume of machinery entering the USA. It provides me with the number and quality of shipments from Europe into the USA. I really like the Power Query tool in ImportYeti; it's outstanding, and I congratulate the team for it. The Power Query has powerful logic and is fairly easy to use. ImportYeti allows for faster data extraction with more precise data descriptions and no limitations on data "age" since queries can go back to 2019. Setting up ImportYeti was very easy, including my personal exchange of emails with "the Yeti." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImportYeti?

The so-called 'raw data' is particularly problematic in the field of 'product description', as they are not always present or meaningful. I think it would be better to check that field at the time ImportYeti's algorithm is importing data. If the field is 'empty', there is a problem that should be solved at that very time.
