Illuminant Surgical Reviews & Product Details

Illuminant Surgical is a medical technology company dedicated to enhancing surgical procedures through advanced visualization tools. Their flagship product, Skylight™, is the first real-time anatomical projection system designed for spine surgery and interventional access. By projecting critical anatomical imaging directly onto the patient's body, Skylight™ provides surgeons with an "X-ray vision" view, allowing them to visualize internal structures without the need for traditional monitors or headsets. This innovative technology simplifies workflow, integrates seamlessly into various procedure rooms, and requires minimal training for users. Key Features and Functionality: - Real-Time Anatomical Projection: Skylight™ displays imaging directly onto the patient's skin, offering immediate visual guidance during procedures. - SkinMatch™ Patient Registration: This feature simplifies the setup process, enabling non-invasive patient registration within minutes. - Seamless Integration: Designed to fit into any procedure room, Skylight™ requires minimal training and eliminates the need for additional wearables or complex equipment. - Enhanced Surgical Precision: By providing a clear, unobstructed view of internal anatomy, Skylight™ reduces spatial uncertainty and cognitive burden, allowing surgeons to focus entirely on the procedure. Primary Value and Problem Solved: Traditional surgical navigation systems often require surgeons to shift their attention between monitors and the patient, leading to potential inefficiencies and increased cognitive load. Skylight™ addresses this challenge by projecting anatomical information directly onto the patient, creating a seamless integration of digital guidance and physical reality. This innovation enhances surgical precision, simplifies workflows, and improves patient outcomes by reducing the likelihood of complications associated with misplacement or spatial uncertainty.
