IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions Reviews & Product Details

I have tried many virtual machines but I find VMware as best. It has many advanced features; it can send and receive data at a faster rate. Cost Savings. The virtualization brought about by multiple servers reduces the physical server needs, storage space, and lowers the energy bill. ... No Downtime. The systems will run uninterrupted. ... Backup and Restore. ... Virtual Labs. ... Security.

VMware Workstation is our product that enables users to set up virtual machines on a single physical machine, and use them simultaneously along with the actual machine. In simple words, it enables its users to install a virtual operating system within an operating system and use them both at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes it is not effective to use because it's too heavy. It doesn't sound familiar to always use for all small kinds of jobs. Incompatibility with hardware that VMware doesn't support. Complex device drivers will slow the initialization time. Steep learning curve. Corrupt external code may slow initialization or hang a server. Trial software missing some functionality.

enhances security provided by IBM Cloud for VMware solutions is something unique to this solution. We can use encryption at rest or vSAN encryption or customer-managed encryption at rest solution. Also, the virtualized dedicated bare metal hardware adds to the security of applications hosted. Very good solution for a financial solution where security is of the highest concern. Also, this helps many organizations to move to the cloud. It helped them to explore the million possibilities around the world of cloud and how they can modernize the innovation and development of applications with the help of cloud and AI/ML services provided by cloud providers. Using VMware expertise at a global scale with IBM Professional and Managed Services spanning 30+ IBM Cloud data centers worldwide. It gives us multiple storage options, an additional layer of security as well as high availability. Replication is a snap when we have needed it. Having admin access to vCenter Server allows ease of manageability without the hassle and limitations an onsite solution only restricted us to prior to implementation. Management of the solution is a bit difficult with vSphere and IBM Managed Services joining together and then integrating services. Also, the integration of services from multiple platforms has always been restricted because of networking limitations. This solution, along with cloud migration, encourages people to continue with hybrid solutions which are not great for the long run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have just started using IBM cloud for Vmware solutions. What best I liked is the quickly and seamlessly integration or even the migration of on-premises VMware workloads to the IBM Cloud. Another good thing that is quite impressive is the single management console to deploy, access, and manage the VMware environments on IBM Cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So far, I haven't realised any con about this software. Probably because it has all the features be it expansion, migration, integration while confidently leveraging the same tools, technologies and skills in the cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The flexibility that allows multiple deployments is a game changer... the control mechanism in the infrastructure at different levels is indeed helpful and supportive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In a Banking environment due to the security involved Cloud solutions is very slowly creeping in. Multiple solutions that over-arch with vmwares capability and sandbox environments for developers make it slow for AI implementations where in POCs are to be delivered before actual production or service run. What I really like about this is that the data is securely stored in the cloud with very little to no downtime. It is very easily scaled depending on our needs at the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As with any service located in the cloud, there are security concerns as to where our data is being stored and who may possibly have access to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I consider this software essential to perform my job as an acute care registered nurse. Working in the hospital setting, I must be able to quickly log-in to the computer in every patient room! This software allows me to log-in and seamlessly pull up my personal desktop on any integrated computer within the hospital! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
