We’ve been using Hivel to boost our team’s developer velocity, and it’s made a noticeable impact. The Daily Activity and Dev360 views help us track day-to-day work, focus time, and overall contribution without needing constant follow-ups. It brings much-needed visibility, especially in remote or hybrid setups.

The Pull Request insights, along with the Cockpit dashboard and Investment Profile, have helped us identify bottlenecks in our delivery pipeline and track where time is being spent across initiatives. One area of improvement could be around the Investment section — it would be great if it could better align with how different clients use JIRA. For example, supporting custom fields, and allowing DORA metrics, story points, and bug story points to be pulled based on specific JIRA projects or filters, would make this feature more powerful and customisable across teams and best to have based on Sprint Cycle. We felt it was quite easy to setup hivel. the tech team was able to connect to Gitlab, Jira and slack. UI is really clean and simple.

We mostly use Hivel during our daily standups. It shows real-time updates on what each person is working on, how loaded the tech team is, and the overall project status. The dashboards make things really clear and help us stay on track. I personally like the Cockpit feature, it helps us by giving a quick overview of important metrics in one place, so we get to easily see if something’s off in the project.
