"Up-to-Date Insights, Time Savings, and Stellar Support"
5/5
What do you like best about GovConnex?

I use GovConnex as a database for parliamentary members across Federal, State and Territory jurisdictions, with bios, electorate data, history and current activity. It saves me significant time when I prepare briefs or meetings, and the up-to-date, practical information is available immediately. I also like that it’s flexible: I can create my own databases of key individuals, especially across the bureaucracy, keep meeting notes and follow-up items, and share information with colleagues. The webinars, research papers and briefings delivered throughout the year are valuable, well researched and objective, and allow for questions and discussion. I find it terrific for keeping track of meetings and contacts with key individuals. The app makes it very helpful to access up-to-date data when I’m on the road. GovConnex is useful, practical, contemporary and effective. The team is always helpful and supportive if issues arise, which is rare, and they assist with advice, training and suggestions for getting the best out of the system. Setup was no problem, and the team’s support was terrific. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GovConnex?

I’d like the database to include bureaucrats across State and Territory governments, especially senior staff like Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries, and key departments or functions. I understand that this would be a huge challenge, especially with the rate of churn in some jurisdictions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Targeted Monitoring Updates and a More Helpful Analyst in GovConnex"
4/5
What do you like best about GovConnex?

I like the new 'Monitoring' functionality which provides me with very targeted and relevant updates daily. The new Analyst feature, too, is notably more helpful than the old one and I use it now more than I used to, particularly for drafting email correspondence. On the old Govconnex I found the Feed very useful, though I don't use it so much now as it is no longer relevant to my parameters but is rather a generic overview of what is going on in the general political conversation. The UI is simple and clear, which has always been the case. I like logging my correspondence using the BCC address function, which is convenient. I also like the Briefings and Webinars that we get access to, too -- I always read them. Pricing is not within my scope, but being able to share it with other organisations makes it financially feasible for us so I am grateful that that is a possibility. What do you dislike about GovConnex?

As I said, the new Feed is not as helpful as the old one. I wouldn't say there is anything I dislike per se about GovConnex, though there are things that I use less, such as the Planner or Task functions. To be honest, the newsletters were never my favourite -- their formatting with big blocks of underlined text was always hard to read when it arrived in my inbox. They gave good updates, but now that they are being superseded by the Briefings, I think that's much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
