I also use VirusTotal to scan websites that I think maybe false or harmful to my cybersecurity. It has IOC investigation, Threat map, API key and all which helps us to investigate better. One of Google's many detection layers to shield its users from malware and other harmful files is its interaction with VirusTotal.

Any hyperlink, unknown file, domain, URL etc. can be easily detected using this awesome virus total thing. **What do you dislike about Google VirusTotal?** sometimes new unknown files can't be traceable, or may not be available on the database.

But this seems to be happening every threat intelligence service. **What problems is Google VirusTotal solving and how is that benefiting you?** initially we were using it as free by uploading samples, URL, HAshes etc. Later on we integrated it with our internal tools via API. Then samples are being uploaded automatically whenever we found an malicious or grayware content, we just trigger the playbook and then everything goes as per the process.

However, a few things to mention: For the large files, it takes a lot of scan time.
