## About Google Fonts

Primary Value and User Solutions: Noto addresses the challenge of displaying diverse languages and scripts on digital platforms by providing a unified font family that supports virtually all written languages. This ensures that users can read and write in their native languages without encountering missing characters or inconsistent typography. By offering a harmonious and comprehensive solution, Noto enhances global communication, inclusivity, and user experience across various devices and applications.

## Google Fonts Reviews
  ### 1. Accessible resource for a variety of fonts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devon Courtney T. K. | Wellness Advocate | Bridging Evidence-Based Practices with the Esoteric, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

Google Fonts is easy to use, has an interface that easily lets you visualize your text and has a substantial library of fonts. All the fonts are easy to download, install and use with a variety of software.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

Not enough display fonts or fonts with Ligatures.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use the fonts to make aesthetically pleasing posts and static graphics for social media that Canva or another diy product can't handle. Though the fonts available through Google may be more limited, they are well-designed typefaces I can easily use in photoshop.

  ### 2. Google Fonts Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anish M. | Member Of Technical Staff - Software Development (AI), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

As a Software Developer, I am overwhelmed by its simplicity. It has a ton of free fonts which can be easily integrated into web projects. The Selection is vast and has collections to nearly every design you might require. Easy integration with no licensing headaches. It's a must have tool for every developer's toolkit.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

Font Loading can slow down a website a bit. Optimizing performance in this regard could make it more better.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplifies the font selection process for web developers. Font Licensing and integration hassle is never here. Saving time, legal compliance and its ever expanding creative options, making development even more smoother and more efficient. Providing a wide range of fonts suitable for various designs and is a true game changer.

  ### 3. Free Fonts for Commercial Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

Our graphic design agency uses Google Fonts frequently because it's open source and we don't need to pay for a commercial license to use the fonts in our client projects. I also like that it previews the text you want to use the font for, so you can see how it looks like in context.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

The fonts don't always come with various styles (eg. different thicknesses). Also, the search function isn't the most robust so sometimes I have to scroll through all the fonts before finding one I like.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our clients often ask for font files when we deliver the files, but with fonts that require a paid commercial license, we are not at liberty to share the font files with our clients and they have to purchase their own license. With Google Fonts being free for commercial use, we can share the font files with our clients, which makes them happy as well.

  ### 4. The best for web design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisco M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

Although the variety of fonts is not wide, the truth is that it has what it takes to make your web pages have a great visual style.

It works with all Wordpress templates and all the editors you can imagine, Elementor, Guttenberg, etc.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

- Does not have attractive Handmade fonts

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- It saves me problems with clients' websites. What you see on your laptop is the same as what you see on your phone. It doesn't matter if you are on an Android or an iPhone, a PC or a Mac, the fonts are not lost, they do not do strange things

  ### 5. The Definitive Open Source Font Repository

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

Google Fonts is an amazing resource for those needing open source/royalty free fonts. There are a myriad of apps and services that integrate with Google Fonts allowing further flexibility and convenience. One may also refine a search for a particular font using filters, classifications, language, decoration, etc. Whether you need fonts for graphic design, general business, or personal projects Google Fonts is defintely worth a look.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

I have no general "dislike" for Google Fonts, per se. However, I should note if using for web design calling Google Fonts via CSS there is a minimal impact on browser performance while the fonts are parsed and added to the visitor's browser. And others may argue about privacy concerns however I have never had an issue -- just worth noting.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having an array of different font types and styles helps with diversifying content, for example, layout and readability. That said I recommend using a consistent blend to create a "style" which benefits your objective whether it be online, printed, etc.

  ### 6. Simple and plenty

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel S. | Librarian, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

I love that there are so many free fonts that are easy to use. They don't have a premium font you have to sift through to find ones you can use. Also, they have so many options to choose from that I can always find a font for me.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

There aren't too many "nerdy" fonts, like fonts from fandoms (think HP and Star Wars).

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to create my own font and I don't have to import various extra libraries.

  ### 7. Google Fonts is undoubtedly a perfect tool for enhancing your slide presentations.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mane G. | Senior SMM and Communications Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

One of the most striking features of Google Fonts is its vast library of typefaces. With over 1,000 fonts to choose from, you can effortlessly find the perfect font to match your content and theme.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

One notable downside of Google Fonts is the absence of Armenian language fonts in its extensive library. While it offers a wide selection of typefaces for various languages.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google Fonts addresses the issue of limited font choices in traditional presentation software. Before using Google Fonts, I was often limited to the default fonts provided by programs like Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides. These options were frequently overused and didn't allow for much creative expression.

  ### 8. Helpful for Finding Web-Friendly Fonts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joan W. | Growth Marketer & Content Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

It makes it easy to identify web-friendly fonts and gives you extensive examples of how they look on the screen.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

I would like more pre-set pairings. For example, if I were to select Roboto, then it would suggest other fonts that pair well with Roboto, either for header or body text.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I try not to use the same fonts for every project. Google fonts helps me see which fonts will work well with a brand while delivering speed and clarity.

  ### 9. Finding Fonts is easy now with Google Fonts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

With Google Fonts, I can get the whole font family and even get specific styles like Seriff and Sans. Websites need some Differentiations in sections and Google font helps me to make that Difference in a Effective and visual way. I use Google fonts for all the Design and website related works.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

It would be fantastic if they added a feature that allows us to post a picture of a specific font and find the font family. Apart from that, there is nothing to dislike.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easier to get the right fonts for the need. Branding plays an important role in designing, and you can brand different websites with unique fonts to make the content more crisp and appealing to the audience. It is difficult to find the right font. Google Fonts expedites decision-making.

  ### 10. It makes things easier

Google Fonts has been a very useful tool for me, especially when designing a new website it can help a lot by providing a lot of types of letter fonts, this is helpful because it helps to enhance the design of the website or anything that needs different types of fonts.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

Something that I found difficult when using Google fonts, is choosing one, when you have so many, sometimes at least for me it takes too much time and sometimes it is confusing for me.

It has a huge library of all kinds of fonts and caters to all the professional needs of every user. Easy to use site and responsive site with easy download makes it a first choice for my font search. I use this frequently and very easy to implement the fonts

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

It does have all the professional fonts and does nt have any significant drawback but i would love to see more artistic and language fonts being added in it.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It hosts the library of fonts and helps in reducing the time and effort to find the right font and thereby saving time

  ### 12. Great tool for fonts on demand

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

A wide ranging number of fonts that allow easy application to web design. If you need to find a close match to an existing font it's quite simple to match up and find a like for like font. Implementation across projects is very simple and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

There's a large range of fonts and the UI to navigate them can prove to be challenging. Filters are less intuative unless you know the exact font name you are looking for.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

High value access to fonts that can be simply applied to web projects. Fast implementation and testing allow a fast turn around time on font changes in situ meaning we get through rounds of feedback faster.

  ### 13. Trustworthy & free fonts with helpful search tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

I like how you can search for fonts by filtering for serif, sans serif, and slab serif. The sample text tool is also really helpful you can type anything you want and it will generate what the text looks like in all the google fonts. I also like that you can select which font weights you want to download or the whole family. As a Designer, I download fonts to integrate with Figma.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

A downside of google fonts is that you can't search by style or use case. For example by digital or for print or if I'm just looking for a style that's more round or tall.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's free and accessible for anyone to download! It's also trustworthy and very robust because there's many different weights for each font and I trust that designers at Google took the time to carefully craft each font (compared to a random font you find online). It's also a trustworthy website to download from in terms of safety.

  ### 14. Google fonts - Best web font providers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piyush C. | Sr. Software Engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

Being a developer I often have to use different fonts that are not in my system. So in order to use them I need to find them and convert them to web fonts. But with Google fonts having a huge library of fancy and artistic fonts, I simply need to include the API in my code and thats it.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

Though the font library of Google fonts is huge but still there are very common fonts which are no there, or are available in a high price.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is making the life of the designers and developers easy by providing the web fonts just like a cherry on the cake.

  ### 15. A great tool for webfonts

Google Fonts provides a wide range of diverse fonts for anyone around the world to use, they can be access online and downloded quickly as well as integrated directly into web platforms like Webflow.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

Since Google fonts are used widely across the world and easily accessible, there's sometimes a lack of originality if an entire site relies on them, so it sometimes needs to be used in conjunction with paid fonts to supplement them.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The library is vast so there's no shortage or varied fonts and it also has a wide range of wieghtings and sizes to choose from. The speed in which a font can be aquired and implemented is amazing.

Very easy to integrate into any website. Just a couple of lines of CSS code and you can import it into your project with ease.

Looking for an exact font can be hard but there are a lot of "alternative" font choices that come really close to the original.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alessandro B. | webmaster, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

Managing fonts on a website has been revolutionized by Google Fonts. With the use of google fonts, the choice of fonts that can be used on your site has widened.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

The purpose of google Fonts is to make pages that use non "standard" fonts faster. Sometimes google itself testing the site on lighthouse penalizes the slowness of the site for the use of google fonts. Seems like a contradiction.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before its existence, the available fonts were very few and the final result of the pages produced was not safe. With the fonts loaded into the pages, the page became heavier. The arrival of google fonts has made the use of many new fonts accessible and fast.

Google Fonts allows us to ustilise our choice of font in our public facing web applications for free. It ensures that users of our public facing sites will get the experience we intended, the fonts are always available and are delivered in a CDN style way which improves performance greatly. I really have nothing to put here, it's these kinds of services that I really appreciate from Google. My only fear is Google does have a reputation for killing off free services at time, but I think there is minimal risk with its fonts service.

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

Love the choices, the guides, and the simplicity of the integration

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

Sometimes load times drastically worsen when integrating Google Fonts. Given that Google actually ranks you lower if your load times are not the best, this is a bit of a dilemma, when both services are coming from the same company

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can simply integrate a ton of custom fonts into any website and leverage them. Finding guides online on which fonts look and work best together are super easy to find and then I can copy and paste the code for integrating it into my project or via plugins like for WordPress.

  ### 46. Great standard features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

The selection of fonts will be appropriate for most projects, and by nature is great as a cost effective solution where fonts with advanced features are not required. This makes Google fonts excellent for entry-level custom font usage, however they can be used to great effect in professional and larger scale projects too.
The Google fonts website makes it easy to search and filter these fonts, and the font pairing suggestions can be helpful too.
Whether embedding the fonts from Google's CDN or hosting locally, it is really easily to either download or reference them, with some really handy guides from the folks at Google.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

The CDN service of the fonts can deceive users/developers into thinking they will load quickly, which isn’t necessarily the case. Although Google have helped by providing a very rough estimate of delivery speed, this is very approximate and quite inaccurate. More advice on self-hosting would be useful.
The same point that makes Google fonts great, the range, also makes it not so great as there are a fair few lower standard fonts with limited families.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Custom font delivery to websites for free, saving potentially quite a bit of cost depending on font selection. It is also easy to switch and experiment with fonts.
In terms of branding this has helped keep assets consistent too.

  ### 47. Google Fonts : An Ultimate Tool for Enhancing Texts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SOMARAPU NARESH CHANDRA S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

One of Google Fonts highlights is that it provides free text styles that mean fonts and icons.
We can use them for different activities in our life, like in paper presentations, projects, assignments etc.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

Some of the downsides of Google Fonts are that we can not fully customize its fonts, and many users use them. Google Fonts may not be suitable for all design projects, especially those requiring more unique or custom typography. Some designers may prefer to work with premium or create custom fonts for more personalized and unique designs.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google Fonts helps me exceedingly academically; I can build my project with many good fonts and icons, making it look excellent.
I can add a link to the font stylesheet in the HTML head of their website and then reference the desired font in their CSS code. The font will then be loaded from Google's servers and displayed on the website.

  ### 48. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

Very easy to use, and the available selection is plenty.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

There isn't much to dislike, other than perhaps I wish there were more available fonts and more "premium" looking options vs a lot of stylized options.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fonts are expensive and google provides a solid selection for $0

  ### 49. Best source for free to use fonts, very easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

When I need a font for an app or website, and I don't want to spend extra cash, Google Fonts is my go to. The selection is amazing, it's easy to find new fonts and everything just works.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

It's not always 100% clear what the licenses for the fonts are, but my understanding is that they are free to use, I would like it to be more clear.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everyone building apps and websites needs fonts for a good design that stands out. Google Fonts solves this issue by providing a lot of options with a great, easy to use UI.

  ### 50. Not much downside to easy and free fonts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Google Fonts?**

Really like that the fonts are easily available, easily downloaded, there are suggestions on each font page for pairings and usage. Makes it easy to collaborate on jobs.

**What do you dislike about Google Fonts?**

My only concern is that at some point they might decide to charge for access and you'd lose your design.

**What problems is Google Fonts solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing web and printed graphics. Note: for some reason the only purpose available to choose for use was Web Font Marketplace, and I had to choose that to continue--I don't use Google Fonts for WebFont Marketplace--I don't even know what that is.
