"Developer-Friendly Managed Database Solution"
4/5
What do you like best about Google Cloud SQL?

I like best about Google Cloud SQL is its ability to take away the complexity of database administration. It automatically manages backups, replication, patching, and scaling, which saves developers significant time. I also appreciate its seamless integration with the Google Cloud ecosystem (App Engine, GKE, BigQuery), making it easy to build and scale cloud-native applications while maintaining reliability and strong security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud SQL?

While Google Cloud SQL is powerful, its scaling options can feel limited, especially for workloads requiring horizontal scaling or very high concurrency. In addition, costs can increase quickly as database size and usage grow, which makes optimization essential. However, these challenges are manageable with the right architecture and monitoring in place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Cloud SQL?

What I like best about Google Cloud SQL is its seamless scalability and hassle-free management, which allows me to focus on building applications instead of worrying about database maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud SQL?

The main drawback I find with Google Cloud SQL is that the pricing can get expensive as the database scales, and some advanced configuration options are limited compared to self-managed databases Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud SQL?

Google Cloud SQL support is slow. When doing vertical scaling, it takes a lot of time because the servers have to restart, but it takes time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Cloud SQL?

It's advanced and faster compared to the rest as I was was earlier using Server management studio and it gets stuck sometimes while running the query Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud SQL?

1. Limited Database Engines – Only supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. If we need Oracle, MongoDB, or others it won't work

2. Storage & Connection Limits – Each instance has limits on connections, storage size, and IOPS (depends on tier). Not ideal for very high-scale workloads compared to Cloud Spanner or BigQuery.

3. Scaling Constraints – Vertical scaling (increasing CPU/RAM) requires downtime. Horizontal scaling is limited (read replicas available, but no built-in sharding). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use Simple yet little bit expensive"
4/5
What do you like best about Google Cloud SQL?

See, when I first wanted to find an online platform to host db, i went to AWS. It was too expensive then. I came to , GCP, and the ui was 10 times simpler, and it was easy to understand pricing structure within 10 minutes. My application DB was live on , GCP, yet it is on a more expensive side Azure I think gives the best value for money, but ui is not great there. In Cloud ,SQL the security features were too good the environment and discussions were progressive all along and this has been the most fun part as I could quickly create coy of db fush it and connect to new deployments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
