I like this software because its implementation process in any digital platform is extremely easy, mentioning the Google documentation is clear and concise, in addition to acquiring extremely extensive terms according to your data center protected in this system, and it does not need a learning curve to learn to manipulate these functions, thanks to its flexibility at a general level, highlighting that it is one of the best complete machine alternatives. This software does not provide a full-text search api, in other words we can describe that the documentation in general terms is sometimes deficient, since it is often outdated or simply incorrect when we enter the name of a file to be searched in the data center of this system, not excluding that standard instances could provide better support for more technology stacks. I like how it is really easy to navigate Google, and I feel most comfortable using Google for all of my business needs. I used to use Google App Engine, but now I do things more independently. I wanted to feel like I was in control more, and not use the app. I mainly like to stick to doing things on pencil and paper because I feel like I can check for accuracy easier. Overall, great app, but I may want to use it in the future, I am just not sure yet for my companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes with Google, I feel as though when there is an update it takes me a few minutes to be able to recognize the new icon, plus new features in the updates. There is nothing wrong with the app itself, but it is a great starter tool for new businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is limited, but it is understandable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The fact that it is very easy to understand for a person who is making his/her first step into cloud technology. Auto scalable and managed totally by Google is also a great feature for a small team or a prototype application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GAE ecosystem. Gae comes with its ecosystem and it's very easy to get attached to it. The ease of use of other services such as analytics and stack driver is great but it comes with a cost which can easily go way up. Then there are some versions of languages which are not supported. Gae can stop supporting certain version anytime and you have to keep up with their pace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part is we don't need to buy servers or server space. I don't need to think about maintenance cost. In addition to this it will easily scale and increase the system reliability and availability. Our developers doing the Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
But in fact we have read-only access to the filesystem on App Engine. There are some minor cases, we should have access to the file system when it comes to plug-able architecture. all the components classes should be able to upload to the file system to load it dynamically. That is not possible with the app engine. Sometimes it is not possible to create java threads, I have tested with spring boot and even quarkus frameworks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing, this is the greatest platform ever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Google Application Engine allows to deploy web services implemented on several languages and frameworks. I used GAE since 2012. My first services were implemented with Python for web2py framework. Now I use Java8 Spring Boot because of typed programming language and better framework for robust applications
- GAE application is deployed to an environment, sand-box, scalable by default. You get out-of-box the same functionality as if you run Kubernetes cluster with fully automatic scaling setup at price less by an order of magnitude than Kubernetes setup.
- Since November 2019 GAE applications use full Cloud SDK and Appengine SDK, that was subset of full SDK become obsolete. So now there is no restriction in use any Google Cloud service inside GAE application. In my company we implemented application that uses Dataflow service for data preparation and sharing Datastore service among several GAE applications.
- GAE applications are suitable for microservice architecture. Here, each microservice is represented as GAE application.
- GAE application deployment is versioned. You can revert back deployed version that serves user traffic in one click. It is life saver measure in disastrous situation. Or it is possible to split traffic between different versions to realize A-B testing, for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly there is nothing to improve in Google Cloud Platform. I am just waiting for Google to extend current product portfolio. In my opinion GCP far outperform any existed Cloud platform in sense of usability, price, and features. Note GAE is the first serverless approach platform available for developers appeared in 2012 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
