## GoDaddy Domains Reviews
  ### 1. IT Support is Now Pressured Sales

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ira H. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

It's easy to purchase a domain. GoDaddy has this process down and it's simple with reasonable prices.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

I called to find out how to grant access to a third party company and the support staff said she'd help me with the issue but proceeded to etch out her own agenda in reviewing many of the features that I did not have. After begging her to help with my issue two or three times, I had to hang up and complete a meeting before trying again to get my question answered.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GoDaddy for domains and hosting services.

  ### 2. Horrible Customer Support

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2024

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Buying domains is quite easy, pricing is ok.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

I have never written a review for anything. But I have so much time at my hands, waiting for their live customer support agent to respond that I am writing this review. I have spent 2 hours before, trying to get an answer to my question & violently shut down by rude customer service agent. Now I have spent 1 hour, trying to get help for transferring a domain I sold through Afternic (also their own platform). The customer support agent is blaming me for not following correct steps while listing my domain. Keeps sending me the link explaining how to list a domain for sale. I have sold the domain! I received the email saying that the domain is sold. Still, they are blaming me for the inability to transfer this domain. Absolutely ridiciulous situation. In total, I have wasted 3 hours of my life talking to their "support". 3 hours I will never get back.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buying domain.

  ### 3. Slow website hosting and Confusing Platform

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2023

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

I like that users can easily add you as "delegate" access user. A lot of people use GoDaddy just for its name and its reputation and it's easy to tell people about hosting and say examples like GoDaddy, but it's really not something that I recommend as a place to buy anymore.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Their interface sometimes changes and it's not working properly, their pricing is a bit high. Their website hosting plans for WordPress are not worth the money, they are slow, buggy and laggy. The cost of domains are also not as good as other compaines, it's either about the same or higher.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used GoDaddy domain registration and hosting.

Usually we see users fleeing from GoDaddy - so there is no solving point and benefit for us. The only benefit is the fact that a lot of users are using it and we can easily make changes on the domain.

  ### 4. Setup and basics are easy but support is bad enough to leave them for good

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick S. | Operator Training Communication Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2023

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

For a very simple and basic website, GoDaddy makes it easy to register domains, setup basic websites, and maintain them. Their prices are generally good for entry-level work as well.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Their support is horrible. I've waited for hours and hours on individual issues, only to finally be connected with an agent who isn't knowledgeable of their own products and services. This can be inconvenient and frustrating if you have a minor issue on a small website, but it is catastrophic when you have a serious problem on a large and complex site.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domain registration, management, WordPress hosting, SSL registration, etc.

  ### 5. Good for Domain, Average for Hosting

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohd A. | Web Devloper, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2022

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

GODaddy provides domain at very low priced compare to the existing domain providers, they also have many options for the need of a website development. They provide Domain, Hosting, Email, Security and much more.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Their support is very poor, they can't even solve your small issues. They always make excuses that they can not check the issue or try to blame everything to the developer code.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing all the domains for our organisation is simple and can be done through one single dashboard. We can also use their delegate access feature which always come handy for managing our clients products and services on GoDaddy.

  ### 6. I was not happy with their plans and customer service

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christy C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2023

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

It was easy to set up and change the website. It also had a blog page

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

The fees were astronomical and when there was an issue, customer service had no idea why things were going wrong when they updated the system.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They didnt help me, in fact I cancelled and I am using Ecwid by itself for a few years and no issues.

  ### 7. Review GoDaddy

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priya P. | Head Of Marketing & Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2022

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

It was easy to create different types of sales and marketing campaigns and uploading the database was also simple.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

You have limited options for designing the layout for emailers. Also, there are no options for scheduling drip campaigns.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in automating the campaigns, and you can also track the performance of the campaigns.

  ### 8. Below Average Performance

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal P. | Software Test Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

There is hardly anything I like about GoDaddy other than their hosting, that too because of their competitive costing. Domain names are easy to purchase and use.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Too many things I dislike about GoDaddy, one of which is their email service, their emails are the worst, difficult to manage, login, signature creation so painful, etc.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have our website hosted on the domain purchased from GoDaddy, we also have a few email accounts purchased on it but they don't really help us as they are very below average in performance.

  ### 9. Just OK

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2022

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Our favorite part was how they utilized photographers for their shoots to update our social media pages.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

The downside was that our account manager wasn't too involved once we weren't new anymore. At least that's how it felt.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unfortunately, we weren't able to solve many issues, which is why we left the platform.

  ### 10. Lots of Features, But None of Them are Great

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2021

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

I like how easy it is to get started and use the service.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Their purchasing process is designed to always try to upsell you on other services you might not need. Also the cost of domain is way over many other of their competitors and does not include free WHOIS protection. Their hosting service is not very powerful.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Make sure to look at other competitors. Think about what you want. If you want just domain registration, there are several other competitors that offer better and less expensive service.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

  ### 11. Not so great if you're selling.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert E. | Advertising / Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Ease of listing. Built-in appraising tool.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

It doesn't help sell domains. I have been using for years, trying to sell several fairly clever domains that I bought in the 1990's. Appraised values run from $1500 to $4000. I have them priced way below those values and have had no bites.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves no problems and has no benefits.

  ### 12. Promises but performance is not there

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2021

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

The only thing I can think of is the price. GoDaddy is very price competitive.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

The performance of their managed WordPress service is abysmal.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their GoDaddy pro program is great. Solving the need of updating many Wordpress sites at once and backing up sites.

  ### 13. I've had bad experiences with GoDaddy and I advise all my customers against it

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan M. | IT Security Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

At least the hosting cPanel is undeniably well organized.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

They seem to have dark patterns in all their website in order to bill you more. The "egg in the basket" is a common one, if you don't take special care when buying something from their shopping cart, you will end up with some domain services you don't actually need and you can execute yourself, such as Google website submitting.

Let me tell you a short story of why I dislike GoDaddy: Back in 2015, I developed a new website for a customer and he already happened to use GoDaddy. "No big deal," I said to myself, he had already a Wordpress installed, so migration from my development environment to GoDaddy hosting was needed. I backed up (via exporting it using phpMyAdmin's export feature) customers' database (or so I thought, hold this in your mind). I imported my Wordpress database, and the migration was a success. The customer was delighted, but he was not ready to go live with my site, so he requested to place back again his old website and we'll go live later.

When I tried to import the previous database it was corrupted, I quickly opened the ".SQL" file and at the end of the file there was a timeout error in HTML. GoDaddy's MySQL had a timeout while I was downloading the database exported. I couldn't restore the site, so I called support and they said they can restore a hosting backup, all I needed was to indicate which day of the backup I wanted and pay a small fee. Let me tell you something: $150 USD is no a small fee for a freelancer like I was these days.

I paid from my own pocket, and I was left with a bad taste of GoDaddy since these days. How come they have a backup restoration ready to place it in your shopping cart, but they do not extend the timeout of their MySQL servers a few seconds more? It was like just 30 seconds or less. It felt insidious to me, like a pitfall specifically put in place for the novices.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Be very smart of the dark patterns they have. They are very smart about it. The checkboxes that will cost you money are enabled by default.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At least I can buy some domains TLDs that aren't found elsewhere, quickly grabbing those before anyone else does. When my preferred registrar enables the TLDs, I don't hesitate to transfer out my domains.

  ### 14. Traditional big web hosting company that does not care about regular customers

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2019

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Use GoDaddy to buy already registered domains and sites. For regular web hosting, try something else.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

GoDaddy is a traditional company that spend big money to attract customers in bulk. As a regular customer you will be facing problems once you log into the admin area. Since the admin area is not intuitive, even the simplest task such as (un)locking or transfering a domain name will be a difficult one.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Look for something else. Try Name.com.
For buying already registered domains, try GoDaddy.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to buy a domain name that has already been registered. GoDaddy served pretty well as a middle man. Unfortunately, they charge a recurring fee for access to registered domains. We didn't realize this, so we paid without using the service. Refund was not possible.

  ### 15. Great features, very expensive

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2018

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

I'm a horror novelist. I use godaddy for every single aspect of my business. Work phone lines, emails, website and web hosting. Marketing, the whole deal. I like the convenience of doing everything through the same site.

The website builder, you're on your own. I recommend hiring a professional because if you call them for help, they give you the run around and don't help.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

They have a nasty habit of automatically renewing subscriptions, even if you said not to auto renew. Then they take 5 to 7 business days to refund you. They try to rip you off any way they can.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to make more book sales, but I have ended up doing most of it myself.

  ### 16. Well, it's not hard to use

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2018

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

If you really aren't well-versed in searching for a domain, this is easy enough to handle. Type in the name you want, see if it's available and, boom, you're on your way.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Once you are in for a domain, there's a strong chance you may use other GoDaddy products. I'd rather stick with someone with good customer support and billing practices that don't leave you wondering if you got a good deal.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I know what I'm doing, so I don't need this. You can generally get a good initial rate, but the more you know about this, the less you want to deal with GoDaddy.

  ### 17. This is a horrible tool

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikkii K. | Front Line Account Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2018

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

There was nothing I liked about this tool.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

It’s hard to use, and it seems like they intentionally make it hard to use so you have to call support and pay a ridiculous amount t of money for their help.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Stay away! There are much better options out there.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boot camp registration website.

  ### 18. You Get What You Pay For...

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea L. A. | Author: BUILDING A SUCCESS MINDSET Creating Success In Business and In Life, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Pros: They're definitely amongst the very cheapest in terms of the services they offer, and they provide best-in-class security, backup and range of services. Plus, they offer some killer coupon discounts for the first year of signing up with their services.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

I've asked around over the years and, amongst digital professionals, GoDaddy is considered the hosting provider for online amateurs, rather than for professionals who need really robust, fast services.

I should explain that I'm a professional SEO/website creator/graphic designer, and I have set up hundreds of client and personal sites over the years. I say this so you realise that when I say there's actually very little that I like about GoDaddy in comparison to many of the other high-presence hosting/domain companies out there, I do know what I'm talking about. My worst experiences when it came to hosting were always with GoDaddy.

Cons: So many of my clients have gotten lost in the miasma of upsells, upsells and more upsells as they're trying to purchase some simple little thing, they end up buying tons of nonsense they really don't need. Often doing so by mistake when they failed to 'uncheck' some little add-on service box hidden at the bottom of the purchasing page.

Pretty sneaky tactic, GoDaddy!

In the past I've seen clients have domains removed from their ownership and given to someone else without their permission, when someone else has contested ownership. Had it happen to me too, a long time ago. I don't know if GoDaddy still allows that to happen, but it was so annoying!

Their tech support was pretty dire when I used them. I'm presuming they've improved mightily since then, otherwise I don't know how they can possibly still be in business...

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Do your research before using their services; don't just choose them based on low pricing. Also, check the entire page when you are making a purchase to be sure that you're only purchasing what you need... not what has been automatically added because you 'might need it'.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They make things very simple to access and understand for the online beginner. That doesn't currently meet my needs though.

  ### 19. GO Daddy Email

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jill H. | Assistant Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2018

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

I honestly don't really care for our go daddy email account. It's hard to access and harder to reset if you ever happen to forget a password

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

There is one administrator and they are the only ones that can control all email accounts. I would like easier access

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It acts like any other email in regards to sending and receiving

  ### 20. Confusing but hey it gets the job done

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2018

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Allows the user to promote their business and products in a user friendly way. The system is very straight forward

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Too straight forward with limitations that doesn’t show all products

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing our products

  ### 21. Good service but overpriced

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matej M. | Information Technology Specialist, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

GoDaddy is a global provider of many website related services. They can even help you with additional services like marketing or SEO optimisation and such. You can get everything at one place so you don't have to wander around all of those different websites for different services.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

When it comes to things I dislike about them it's hard to choose where to start. First of all, they are overpriced. They lure you in with a low-price deal for the first year of your domain subscription and hosting as well but then the prices they show you are just waaaay about the average cost for this kind of services. Second, communication with them is not always that easy. Many times I wasn't able to get in touch with them for hours. Third, their services don't work at some point and they just don't care. Once they gave us a free 3 months of webhosting services but that's it. No other compensations for their pricey services that just don't work many times in a year. I could go on and on but I don't want to get too mad today.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

It's hard to say. Most of all, don't get lured in by their limited time offers.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using their domain and web hosting deal. It's good we can connect more domain to one hosting and manage it through one interface.

  ### 22. Reliable yet overpriced service.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

The initial pricing along with freedom to manage my DNS settings are nice. I like that there are plenty of additional services and features I can add on to.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

The service is overpriced and though there are lots of features, which is appreciated, I feel like the entire time I have been with this service has been about the upsale. I receive way too many "deals" that are not related to me since I am not a first time customer, which is very disappointing. Also, their interface is simply not very clean and very confusing.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Please shop around. There are other services which provide better pricing options and quality service.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using the service as a DNS host and their uptime and service itself has been very good.

  ### 23. Better Options

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shelle P. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

It is well-known and often used, but not my preference.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Hosting is notoriously bad, interface is clunky, URL registration and privacy rates much higher than competitor NameCheap.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Look at other options. There are better URL registration services and stay away from the web hosting providers that have been purchased by EIG.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I still have some URL's registered there, several clients still have hosting. It solved my needs for URL registration at the time but I am slowly moving URL's as they come up for renewal.

  ### 24. Good Marketing Company

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick H. | Sales Engineer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

GoDaddy is best known for their marketing and registering more domains than any other company.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

GoDaddy portrays themselves as a hosting company, but they are best known for sponsoring Danica Patrick.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using domain names to drive more sales.

  ### 25. Its ok

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Godaddy is cheap enough for the domain name and website building and hosting.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

I think the website builder is so difficult to use and the newer version is too limited. By now a giant like this should be a lot more user-friendly.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website domain and website creation and hosting

  ### 26. OK hosting but terrible support

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marijan E. | Software Quality Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Speed was ok, and ease of setting up account.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Terrible terrible support, even trying to reach support is impossible, they fill you with FAQ that are absolutely of no help. Also I wanted to switch US server to EU server and that was not possible and was a dealbreaker for me.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

I would reccomend them only for domain registration, hosting no!

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used godaddy to host and register domains for all my clients.

  ### 27. Great for getting a domain, terrible for hosting

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clifford W. | Lead Web Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Securing a domain name, and managing domain names are pretty easy and straight forward.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Hosting is a pain, they nickel and dime you for everything, (ie when paying for hosting you get 2 email addresses, whereas other hosting I can get unlimited). Of all of the site I have created and worked on, the only site that I had hosted on godaddy was sort of hacked, a malicious file was added to my ftp that redirected my site.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Shop around to other hosting companies

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website creation.

  ### 28. Is godaddy right for business

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Go daddy has always been price competitive but sometimes you get what you pay for.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

they make is difficult to find tools with there dumbed down interfaces

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

web hosting, corporate email

  ### 29. Could do better in various areas

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

GoDaddy is very easy to sign up for, and somewhat straightforward to use.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

The customer service at GoDaddy isn't very good. I've contacted them a few times for different issues (hosting, domain, and hosting/domain transfer) and I've had difficulty and lengthy call times on each occasion.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

GoDaddy is pretty good for a beginner, or someone using a service like Wix. I don't recommend for blog hosting for a few different reasons, mainly because customer service is very difficult to work with if anything comes up, and I've had to contact customer service several times to get through different blog hosting issues (Wordpress self-hosted).

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Due to the difficulty of the hosting/domain transfer, GoDaddy still hosts my domain name despite having moved to a new hosting provider.

  ### 30. Appears Good in Beginning. Is a Personal Scam

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

I like the best their interface, their support if you are going to purchase. The support will be awesome and great if you are assuring that you have to purchase things in nearby future.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

They own all the rights... your domain names can be removed from account a month before they expire.... They say unlimited storage or up to some 200 MBs.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

if you are a beginner, learner or have a simple website to host....go on. I will not recommend it for serious business.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many people who are experienced never talk good about godaddy...I was wondering this as a beginner but now after staying 5 years with them...I have the same view. Godaddy is for small business ...may be not for serious.

  ### 31. Good for buying domains, bad for hosting.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

It's easy to buy domains and the support is 24/7.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

The hosting is unreliable and not a good value.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

If you are looking to purchase a domain, GoDaddy makes this easy. Their 24/7 support is nice. But if you are looking to host your website with reliability, I'd recommend going with another provider.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like GoDaddy for buying domains for clients. They make this simple.

  ### 32. Too many better options out there

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2017

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Domain purchase was inexpensive and simple

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Hosting is very expensive compared to other sites who offer a lot more and a better site builder for the cost

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Explore your other options- many other sites offer better services for the price

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a website which is why I originally used godaddy

  ### 33. GoDaddy Feedback

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Currently don't like anything this was an inherited vendor and are awaiting end of contract.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Site is not user friendly and get so many emails from them can never tell what the action item is I'm supposed to be taking.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email and domains

  ### 34. Moved away from goDaddy

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Radek W. | Platfrom Architect (Python), Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2016

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

The basic hosting package is very descent. Price is low and support is equally impressive. You get nice and easy to use cpanel and the support reaches out to see how you are doing.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

The basic service did not give you root access and seemed to be geared towards php hosting. I was looking for puthon wsgi hosting with root access and more control over computational power.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

The market you appeal to seems to be small business and personal sites, not much there for large business or so it seems. They typically go to aws or google

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building several websites, campaign sites, contests for clients. I did not find that godaddy gave me the same amount of flexibility as aws.

  ### 35. Cheap, but very confusing and complicated UI

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dmitry S. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2016

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Low prices, available a lot of domain zones.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Really complicated user interface. You need to spend a lot of time learning just how to edit DNS records. They have some kind of new interface but it's still a lot of pain to use it. They need to simplify a lot of things, which is not easy with such amount of features though.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

I would recommend to try to use Google Domains, which is simple and awesome. But not available for all countries yet.

**What problems is GoDaddy Domains solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Holding domain names and providing DNS for each of them.

  ### 36. Come for the price, leave for the service.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2016

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Go Daddy has spent some time and investment at making a simple user interface and they appear to be constantly honing their user experience. They do offer value with their promotional pricing, too.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Constant up-selling and add-ons detract from the experience, however. Their support is also somewhat lacking. They appear to be immovable and unaccommodating in some regards.

  ### 37. Cheap, but not worth it

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bobby H. | Marketing Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2013

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

I tried to use GoDaddy's hosting service several times and it never worked. If you can get it work that's good, and it's cheap.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Their customer service doesn't help, and the hosting is unreliable.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Look for another hosting service.

  ### 38. Ubiquitous hosting company has good marketing but not you best option

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared T. | Solutions Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2012

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

One of the cheaper hosting companies, lots of options (windows and linux, php/python/perl). And Danica Patrick!

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

User interface is terrible, not intuitive, customer service is subpar. Aligning themselves with SOPA is a bad choice. I dislike some of the below the line business practices.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

I would investigate other hosting options - there are lots of other companies with a either better UI, more features, greater flexibility

  ### 39. Dated and now vulnerable

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2012

**What do you like best about GoDaddy Domains?**

Well known brand name and used to be certainty.

**What do you dislike about GoDaddy Domains?**

Dated feel and setup as compared to newer hosts.

**Recommendations to others considering GoDaddy Domains:**

Check out some other innovators such as InMotionHosting.
