I am using gitter desktop app and it is quite slow and as well as in gitter desktop app, while searching someone in "view all people" in group chat, it doesn't find that person even if that person is added in the chat room

Open source discussion tool with unlimited community interface. We can add as many users in a chat room. Best thing is we can use gitter and read chat room discussion even without joining it. Multiple login access with great ui. Its not only great software for public communities but as well as private also. Notifications do not appear in the Gitter Android app. The Android app of Gitter is not at all satisfactory and the Gitter desktop app is quite slow. Gitter has a lot of integrations with other software and services such as trello, bitbucket, heroku etc which make developers' work quite easy. The fact that it has a complete markdown support also streamlines the way code is shared amongst developers e.g. when someone is looking for help on a particular piece of code that is not running. The desktop application which I used the most was quite slow and made my laptop hang often. This made it hard for me to maintain a smooth communication channel with my co-workers. It's just another social media experiment to attempt to promote and grow yet another company that is trying to compete with the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTube. Just like Foursquare and many others. They are wasting time and money trying to compete with social media giants to basically create the ultimate interface of communication through the web. To me it feels like an obsolete task if someone else has already done and had it already out years before and what your trying so hard to build is an obsolete task that could of went into something more valuable like uncharted exploration into the unknown.
