**What do you like best about Gitlab Pages?**

Compared to GitHub pages, GitLab pages provide many additional features like continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). This means that you can easily automate the process of building, testing, and deploying your website every time you push changes to your Git repository.
Along with that, it provides custom domain integration, which GitHub pages are currently missing.

**What do you dislike about Gitlab Pages?**

There are a few dislikes listed below:-

GitLab Pages is free for open-source projects, but a cost is associated with using it for private projects.

GitLab Pages requires more resources than other static site hosting services, as it is part of a larger platform. This can make it less suitable for smaller or resource-constrained websites.

**What problems is Gitlab Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a good CI/CD tool to deploy our projects, and Gitlab pages seem to be the perfect choice for this!

**What do you dislike about Gitlab Pages?**

If you are new to GIT, the learning curve it very steep. In the recent times, i have spent most of my time in learning GIT but its all good as learning is valuable!

We host some of our limited distribution but open source low traffic websites for free on GITLAB pages. If they didn't exist, we would be paying a lot of money for this.

**Reviewed by:** Vincenzo B. | ICT Freelancer + Amazon Affiliate Seller, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Gitlab Pages?**

If if you find yourself continuously committing code to gitlab, then why not using it to host your website or product landing page as well? It has all the basic features to host static-only websites, and you can attach a domain if you want.

What I like the most is the possibility to deploy a website and test it. Very useful for testing performance, code, etc. before taking the website to production. It is also useful for publishing portfolios.

One of the disadvantages is the assignment of domains since it will always contain the subdomains of GitLab. This can affect the SEO of the website if you want to rank.
