"Copilot’s Agentic Evolution Feels Like a Core Part of VS Code"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GitHub Copilot?

Copilot has managed to develop into a fully agentic tool, which is great for agentic coding and development. It’s no longer just an AI assistant, and that completely changes how I can use it day to day. Support for MCP servers, skills, agnets.md, and similar pieces also makes it easier to use alongside other agentic tools.

The UI is fairly intuitive, and I like how it’s directly wired into VS Code. It doesn’t feel like “just an extension” anymore; it feels like a core feature of VS Code now.

The usage limits are also really generous considering the pricing, especially when you compare them to Claude Code, for example. Copilot clearly wins here for me by a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub Copilot?

I dislike the data retention policy for Copilot coding agents and Copilot CLI. The retention period is far too long, especially given how much sensitive information is being shared, such as source code. I think they should reconsider this and make changes. It’s not that I don’t trust GitHub, but given the industry I work in, the idea that our data could be stored somewhere for extended periods of time is unacceptable. "Great integrations and UX, but frustrating Claude/Opus plan changes"
3/5
What do you like best about GitHub Copilot?

Very good Integrations as it's connect most product that a developer like me used like Github, VSCode, Vercel... UI / UX pretty good too, easy to use. AI / Intelligence is not so good, they removed Opus 4.6 over Pro Plan, and pushing subscription to a higher plan price just to use Opus of Claude.

Performance quiet good, I have nothing to complaint as they stable, and always up. Support helpful. Yeah Github Copilot hấ built-in with vscode is so great to coding Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub Copilot?

They suddenly removed Claude model on their Pro Copilot Plan, and pushing subscription to a higher plan price just to able use some Opus model of Anthropic and Claude. Suddendly increase pricing and remove model from copilot pro that upset our developer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Speeds Up Development with Context-Aware Code Suggestions"
5/5
What do you like best about GitHub Copilot?

Its ability to speed up development by providing context aware code suggestions, reducing repetitive coding tasks, and helping me explore new frameworks and APIs more efficiently Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub Copilot?

while GitHub copilot is very helpful, its suggestions are not always accurate or optimized. It can sometimes generate outdated patterns, insecure code, or solutions that don't fully match the intended logic. The generated code still requires careful review, testing, and validation before use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"How GitHub Copilot Changed the Way I Code Me in Flow and Saves Hours"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GitHub Copilot?

Honestly, the biggest win for me is the time it saves. The autocomplete is scarily good — it doesn't just finish a line, it'll suggest entire functions based on a comment I wrote.

It also keeps me in flow. I'm not jumping to Stack Overflow every few minutes for syntax help, especially in languages I don't use daily.

And writing tests? Way less painful now. Copilot handles a lot of that grunt work.

Overall, it just makes me a faster developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub Copilot?

The suggestions are sometimes just wrong. Like confidently wrong. If you're a junior dev and you don't catch it, that bad code is going into production.

It also struggles with complex logic. Simple stuff it nails, but anything highly specific to your business logic — it kind of falls apart.

Privacy is a concern too. Your code is being sent to external servers, which is a dealbreaker for some companies with sensitive codebases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Boosts developer and DevOps productivity with seamless integration into Visual Studio Code."
4.5/5
What do you like best about GitHub Copilot?

GitHub Copilot helps us troubleshoot coding issues and suggests possible next steps when we encounter errors. It assists with code reviews, optimization, and generating code, which helps improve developer productivity. It can also provide recommendations for performance optimization and, in some cases, help identify opportunities to optimize costs. One of its key advantages is its seamless integration with Visual Studio Code, making it easy to use within the development environment. Additionally, it can assist in building UI/UX components by generating code and design suggestions. Since my company provides the subscription, I am not familiar with its pricing plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub Copilot?

Not really. It has been very helpful in my day-to-day work. It assists with code generation, debugging, code reviews, and optimization, which helps improve productivity and reduces development time. Overall, I have had a positive experience using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Copilot for GitHub: A Powerful Force Multiplier with Flexible Model Choice"
5/5
What do you like best about GitHub Copilot?

the power of Copilot for GitHub is a true force multiplier and is especially powerful, given the richness of the GitHub context. Some other fantastic features are the ability to choose from a wide range of models, so that you can find the one best suited to the task at hand. For coding, being able to save and refine prompts for reuse is also an incredible efficiency and produtivity driver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub Copilot?

probably the ease with which a pilot/person can burn through tokens. it takes some training and awareness on best practices and how to actually use the tool, so that it isn't very incredibly cost-ineffective. there are not a lot of guardrails to prevent uninformed or untrained users from wasting resources. also, because it's such a powerful tool, it is probably easier for users to assume that it's always free from mistakes and errors and gives a false sense of false security. "Always Up to Date: A Full IDE AI Solution That Keeps Evolving"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GitHub Copilot?

It was the first full IDE AI solution we used when AI started rolling out. They’ve done a great job keeping both the UI and the underlying features up to date as the AI landscape has evolved. Instead of letting the feature set stagnate, they’ve continued to incorporate changes like skills, instructions, MCP, and similar updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub Copilot?

Nothing major, aside from a few stability issues that sometimes cause the models to fail. That said, I suspect this is more related to the growing popularity and overwhelming demand for AI than to an actual problem with the product itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It speeds up development by suggesting relevant code, cutting down on repetitive work, helping with debugging, and ultimately improving overall productivity and code quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub Copilot?

In more complex scenarios, the suggestions can be inaccurate or not fully optimized. The generated code often still needs to be reviewed and adjusted, so I can’t always rely on it without verifying the results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Great AI Assistant for Faster and More Efficient Coding"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GitHub Copilot?

GitHub Copilot significantly speeds up development by providing intelligent code suggestions directly in the editor. It’s very effective for reducing repetitive coding tasks, generating boilerplate code, and even suggesting entire functions based on context. The integration with editors like Visual Studio Code is seamless, making it easy to adopt without changing existing workflows.

I also like how it adapts to different programming languages and frameworks. It’s especially useful when working with unfamiliar code or trying out new technologies, as it can suggest patterns and examples quickly. Overall, it improves productivity and helps maintain development flow without constant context switching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub Copilot?

While Copilot is very helpful, the suggestions are not always accurate and still require review. For more complex or critical logic, it’s important to validate the generated code carefully. Sometimes it can suggest outdated or suboptimal patterns. Additionally, over-reliance on suggestions can reduce deeper understanding if not used thoughtfully. "GitHub Copilot Boosts Productivity with Fast, Helpful Code Suggestions"
4/5
What do you like best about GitHub Copilot?

As an SAP PM consultant who occasionally works with ABAP and automation scripts, I find GitHub Copilot useful for quickly generating code snippets, explaining existing code, and reducing development effort. It helps improve productivity by providing intelligent suggestions and accelerating routine coding tasks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub Copilot?

SAP-related work, Copilot sometimes struggles with highly specialized business processes and SAP-specific frameworks. The generated suggestions often require significant validation to ensure they align with organizational standards, security requirements, and business logic. It is a productivity aid rather than a replacement for domain expertise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
