G\*Power is a tool to compute statistical power analyses for many different t tests, F tests, χ2 tests, z tests and some exact tests. G\*Power can also be used to compute effect sizes and to display graphically the results of power analyses.

**What do you like best about G*Power?**

The best part of this software is that the product is completely free to use unlike its competitors in the business.There are hardly very less tools for calculating sample data and for power analysis.

**What do you dislike about G*Power?**

Its User interface is old fashioned, options are scattered and calculations are tough for a normal non-IT person.Also step wise calculations are not avaliable,making it difficult to learn for amateurs.

**What problems is G*Power solving and how is that benefiting you?**

G* Power proved to be an effective software in the research arena, almost many of our colleagues completely depend on G*Power for calculating power analysis and statistical data calculation. Tests could be done precisely with this awesome software.

User friendly software to do statistical calculations. Even a beginner can use this too with the support of the support material available.

**What do you dislike about G*Power?**

It does not provide an option for sample size calculations using the effect of correlations

As an early reasearcher I don't want to depend on any statistician for sample size calculations or power analysis

**What do you like best about G*Power?**

The best feature of GPower software is that it is free to use. Sample size calculation for various scenarios are also available. Power analysis feature also makes it a useful software for researchers.

**What do you dislike about G*Power?**

Formula used for sample size estimation is not available. A short information on what needs to be filled in each cell is also not available (especially for beginners)

**What problems is G*Power solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GPower for sample size estimation and power analysis. The interface is quite user friendly and is free to use. Regularly use it for research purposes. Validated the results with other (paid) sample size softwares.

**What do you like best about G*Power?**

As a developer, I use the G*Power software to perform various statistical calculations such as T and F tests and other more complex power exams. The significant advantage is that it is free and can be used on any computer to do advanced calculations.

**What do you dislike about G*Power?**

The G*Power software has been serving us very well, and I have nothing to complain about. Even though it is free, it has a multitude of features.

**What problems is G*Power solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The experience has been very positive with this free software. It has everything we need, and we don't need to pay for anything. It is perfect for calculating and analyzing the different complex statistics calculations we need to do in our RPA development line. It has a friendly, intuitive, and easy-to-use interface. Estimates are accurate and meet our needs.

I like how I can select from many types of statistical tests.

**What do you dislike about G*Power?**

There is no way to check for updates within the app.

**What problems is G*Power solving and how is that benefiting you?**

G Power helps me determine how many subjects I need to recruit and collect data for in my research projects. Very helpful for ethics review boards when they review my application and also helpful for inclusion in the manuscript.

**What do you like best about G*Power?**

G Power is straightforward. I have been using it before conducting research to estimate how many participants I will need. It makes this process easy to understand statistical power.

**What do you dislike about G*Power?**

It always says this application is not optimized for my Mac. I don't really know what that means, but I continue to use it anyway. I haven't noticed any negative effects.

**What problems is G*Power solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a helpful research tool in the beginning stages of a research proposal. Sample size affects power, and ultimately, how much your study will cost. This tool helps me get a good gauge on what I can expect from a study.

User friendly, has a great manual for explaining all of its interfaces and functionalities

**What do you dislike about G*Power?**

Can be confusing to use at first and the manual is a bit lengthy but once you get through it it works great!

Give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

G*Power allows us to run an a priori power analysis before beginning a study to determine the sample size needed to detect a significant effect, if one really exists. This allows for the ethical practice of science as well as efficient resource use!

**What do you like best about G*Power?**

G*Power was straight forward, easy to use, and user friendly for someone who is not a statistics expert. It allowed me to conduct an a priori power analysis to determine an appropriate sample size for my research study. I did not have the ability to hire a statistician to do this for me, so this resource was really helpful. The website also provides a ready-to-use citation.

**What do you dislike about G*Power?**

There was a lot to the website, and you have to know what tests you're looking to run in order for it to be helpful. If you're REALLY rusty on stats there's a little bit of a learning curve.

**Recommendations to others considering G*Power:**

You should have a basic understanding of statistics. If you do not, or if your stats knowledge is very rudimentary, you may want to consider finding a statistician as a resource to help you determine the best ways to use the program & ensure you're running tests appropriately.

**What problems is G*Power solving and how is that benefiting you?**

G*Power helped me to strengthen the design of my research power and ensure that we have enough subjects to allow for meaningful findings. This allowed us to contribute quality research to our field.

**What do you like best about G*Power?**

G*Power is free, simple to use, and incredibly user-friendly. I love that it is mac-friendly and can calculate power for different tests. There are very few tools that can help you calculate the power of an analysis, and help you determine the sample size that is required. 

**What do you dislike about G*Power?**

The interface is somewhat outdated and minimalistic. There are some things that can be hard to find because of that. 

**What problems is G*Power solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a researcher, I use G*Power when writing grants, when writing study protocols, and in budgeting. Additionally, when writing papers, it allows us to report retrospective power for reviewers, which has resulted in faster publication time.

I like the software to complete simple statistical analysis for planning experiments.

**What do you dislike about G*Power?**

The program is not the easiest to use for any complex analysis.

I am simply using GPower to calculate the statistical analysis for research groups prior to experiments for grant applications.
