What do you like best about Foxit PDF Editor?
Over the last year I have scanned and then performed OCR on thousands of pages of documents in Foxit PhantomPDF Pro, saving them as PDFs with searchable text. I have also used it on downloaded PDFs to perform OCR so that I could search them for text. It is also easy to cut pages from PDF documents or combine documents, and to annotate documents. I found the program easy to use and have not had to consult the user manual or look online to figure out how to do things.
What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Editor?
The thing I dislike the most is that OCR in PhantomPDF does not fully take advantage of my 16-core CPU. I am not sure how many threads it can use, but it is slow. Obviously, for most people this is not an issue and it will work in the background while you perform other tasks on the computer.

If you need a way to edit PDFs and perform OCR and want something reasonably-priced and easy to use, PhantomPDF is an obvious choice.

I have used it to perform OCR on large scanned and downloaded PDF files and have used it to annotate and edit PDFs. I have also used it to shrink the size of already-existing PDFs.

What do you like best about Foxit PDF Editor?
Foxit offer a great suite of tools and the product is very stable and reliable. I've been a user for years, the cost is great and now I can use it on my Android devices as well! A lot of my PDFs are huge, being able to shrink them is great. I also rely on the annotation tools to do markups as we collaborate on our building design and documentation process.
What do you dislike about Foxit PDF Editor?
I wish the custom stamps would survive a reinstall of the software.

I studied and trialed any number of competitor products. After extensive research I felt that Foxit offered by far the best value for the money. I've been using the product for years, and on the rare occasions I've had a problem, they have live, well trained customer support available.
What problems is Foxit PDF Editor solving and how is that benefiting you?
I generate a PDF of all my construction drawings and almost all of my correspondence. I like the annotation tools for collaborating on a pdf an being able to flatten and optimize those big construction drawings down to a manageable size is a must.
