"Beats Acrobat hands down in every area."

What do you like best?

I started using FoxitPhantom PDF back in April this year, and I just love the performance. In every respect it's fast to use, but the one stand-out feature is the user interface. It follows the new Microsoft standard and so it's totally seamless in my workflow, I can find everything I need super quick. One thing I should really mention, I use it every day and I don't recall it ever crashing, not once Windows 8.1 or since I've upgraded to Windows 10 - awesome. I really like the digital signature mechanisms, in Acrobat they're almost impossible to use, but in FoxitPhantom PDF they're fantastic, you can even write your signature directly into the program with a tablet or touch pad. It's super fast at opening files and sending print jobs to the spooler.

What do you dislike?

I haven't been able to find a way to use Foxit as my sole PDF reader/editor. I don't know if it's me, but in Google Chrome I seem to be stuck with the Acrobat extension. - Update 05/2018: In the end I completely removed Acrobat from my system and that allowed the PDF extension for web browsers to work.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Stop considering and get this product, it's awesome and will save you money over the Adobe offering. It performs flawlessly and is a joy to use.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use it for almost all my electronic document storage needs, and it's saved me money over the cost of other equivalent offerings by other vendors. Another benefit is the speed I can print downloaded documents, it has halved the time it used to take me with Adobe Acrobat Pro.

"I cannot believe Adobe gets away with their prices with Foxit Phantom PDF on the market!"

What do you like best?

Everything. It has literally every single feature that Adobe Professional has, but it is at least half the cost. I actually think it is much faster and easier to use than Adobe. The form creator is so easy and editing the documents is so much easier. Also, we hand giant PDF documents and it took jobs that would take 60 minutes to less than 5 minutes. Simply an amazing piece of software.

What do you dislike?

I do not have anything bad to say about the product. I have tried really hard to find bad things about because the price was so much less. However, I have not be able to find one feature it is missing from the Adobe product.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you need a Professional PDF editing software, buy this.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It is tremendously faster than Adobe and much better priced.

"Best PDF creator/editor I've used"

What do you like best?

Ample import/export options, text and form/control editing. Much better and more cost effective than the software one would normally use to create and edit PDFs (the one synonymous with the mudbricks used in Southwestern style construction...).

What do you dislike?

Sometimes when moving blocks of text as objects, the letters become slightly staggered and have to be aligned individually.

Inability to have different headers/footers on each page of a document (aside from page numbering. When you edit a header/footer on one page, it seems to apply it to every other page in the document already set to have a header/footer, with no option to have a unique header for that page that I can find.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This is the best PDF creator/editor I've used. The price is very reasonable and the software isn't as intrusive compared to its counterpart.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Foxit PhantomPDF has been very handy when it comes to dealing with third party form PDFs that neglected to make their user fields actually user editable form controls. I no longer have to print and fill out PDF forms by hand, I simply add the form controls myself and have a neatly typed digital form to submit instead.

I routinely use Foxit PhantomPDF to consolidate my monthly expense receipts to submit to Accounting as a single PDF document. I'm easily able to scan in my paper receipts and import my digital receipts (whereas before I had print each of my digital receipts, wasting time, ink, and copy paper).

"Using Adobe? It's time you switched."

What do you like best?

1. Clean, clean conversions to Word. No artifacts. No odd layering. No quirky style guesses. Saves me hours when I need to re-create a template for a document I've been provided in PDF.

2. Regular updates. FoxIt is constantly adding features and usability aids.

3. Really robust tools for ensuring compliance with Section 508 for accessibility.

4. The interface can be mastered without buying a book or attending a class. (Are you listening, Adobe?)

What do you dislike?

Nothing! Well, maybe the OCR engine requires a few more touchups than Adobe's.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Download the trial and give it a thorough workout.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With Foxit's ultracompetitive pricing, I can afford three full FoxIt PhantomPDF Business licenses for the price of one or 1.5 licenses of Adobe Acrobat DC Pro. So one license for my main PC, one for my wife's PC, and one for my Windows tablet.

At the beginning it can be difficult to use for those who do not have much experience using computers.

The trial version is for a few days.

"Foxit PhantomPDF is our go to solution. It has all the features we need at a fraction of the price."

What do you like best?

Foxit Phantom PDF has all the features we need like typewriter and form creation at a fraction of the price of acrobat and without the expensive monthly fee model.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes it is difficult to find the license keys when we need to re-install on a new computer after an old computer is decommissioned.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The main problem was with Adobe Acrobat - in the past we had to pay more and more each year for Acrobat and now Adobe changed their model to a monthly fee. Our company does not want to participate in that kind of model. I personally think that Foxit Phantom is more user friendly than Acrobat and has less intrusive features like the Adobe automatic update program that is always loading itself by default every time the computer boots.

"Easy to Use, Extremely Helpful"

What do you like best?

Straight forward user interface. It helps me complete all of my tasks with ease. I am actually a huge fan of the software because I can notarize documents super quick. It stores my digital signature and digital notarization seal so that I can simply just click a couple of times and in a couple of places and my job is done!

What do you dislike?

The old school "look". It appears old and outdated. I think a fresh look could really boost the program as a whole. A sleeker design could also draw more users to the program. There really isn't much else I dislike about the product.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Foxit PhantomPDF has helped me tremendously the past few months. I could've opted to go with a different program, but after testing Foxit with my current job, it was a no brainer to pick Foxit. It helps me complete my "work from home" job flawlessly by gathering all the tools I need in one place. Foxit is a benefit for me in my position because I have been able to work so much more efficiently by using the Foxit program. I thought about going with an Adobe program for a little while, but after comparing the two, side by side, Foxit was clearly the better choice by far.
