## FlowFuse Reviews
  ### 1. Rapid, reliable fleet dashboards built by our non-dev team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave O. | Principal Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about FlowFuse?**

The Node-RED editor allows for very rapid development, and Flowfuse makes deployment and updates very easy. We can create and deploy a new dashboard page in days rather than weeks. Having built many solutions using various languages and platforms, one thing that stood out to me is the reliability and stability of the Flowfuse/Node-RED ecosystem. That combination of speed and reliability has let us keep pace with our customers' needs without burdening our technical development team. It is definitely worth the price. For any team scaling Node-RED across multiple customer sites or fleets, the ROI is very clear.

**What do you dislike about FlowFuse?**

We don't really have any major complaints about the core platform. If anything, we don't utilize the built-in AI features or native assistants, as we prefer to use external AI agents outside of Flowfuse to assist with our workflows. However, this doesn't impact our core usage.

**What problems is FlowFuse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using Node-RED for local projects for several years, and Flowfuse for 3 years now. We use Flowfuse to deliver shift-level dashboards to customers of our Fleet Management System. Instead of pulling core developers onto these tasks, our Customer Success team of non-developers handles this work completely. This allows us to rapidly roll out updates to clients without burdening our development team.

  ### 2. A Good Tool with a Great Community

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob B. | Junior Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about FlowFuse?**

I enjoy how great it is as a stepping stool to design good code. As a software developer, it allows me to focus on my code infrastructure, pathing, and edge case development more than a simple IDE.

**What do you dislike about FlowFuse?**

Nothing else comes to mind. From my perspective, though, FlowFuse isn’t as widely adopted in larger-scale production environments, so it doesn’t feel as useful as a skill to highlight or advertise.

**What problems is FlowFuse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves our Edge Device management, security, and deployment (including version control). It makes it easy to understand code bases when coming into a production environment.

  ### 3. Easy to Learn and Great for Managing Edge Devices running Node-RED apps.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh D. | Co-Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about FlowFuse?**

Quick and easy to learn your way around and extremely helpful for managing numerous edge devices and version control of the deployed Node-RED apps.

**What do you dislike about FlowFuse?**

I don't have any specific dislikes regarding FlowFuse. I just hope it maintains its elegant simplicity as it continues to grow and evolve.

**What problems is FlowFuse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to manage all of my process control and machine control HMI apps, including code versioning, under one umbrella.

  ### 4. Effortlessly Manages and Scales Node-RED

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sumit s.

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about FlowFuse?**

I use FlowFuse to manage, deploy, scale, and secure Node-RED instances, and I find it incredibly valuable for making collaboration easy. It simplifies managing Node-RED projects, building flows on remote instances, and monitoring everything in one place, making it much simpler and more reliable for me. I love how FlowFuse offers everything any IIoT organization needs at an enterprise level and keeps bringing amazing new features every month. It's also really easy to set up.

**What do you dislike about FlowFuse?**

nothing

**What problems is FlowFuse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use FlowFuse to manage, deploy, scale, and secure Node-RED instances. It simplifies collaboration, makes Node-RED production-ready, and centralizes monitoring, making everything more reliable.

  ### 5. Best low-code platform ever!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando M. | Cofouder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about FlowFuse?**

FlowFuse is the best and professional way to host Node-RED on cloud. Node-RED allows you to develop applications, integrations, user interfaces in a visual, fast, drag and drop way, using no-code, or low-code concept. FlowFuse is not VPS rental, but instances rental. You have no headaches like virtual machine and security administration. There are many other features, such as remote instances administration, easy setup, flows versioning, git integration, one-click deply, built-in mqtt server, custom domain for instances, multi-user dashboards, and so on.

**What do you dislike about FlowFuse?**

Nothing, you have to look hard to find a negative point. If I had to list one, I would say that the management of multiple users and permissions on the dashboard could be improved.

**What problems is FlowFuse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast proof of concept presentation, rapid ideas implementation, app development flexibility without having to resort to outsourced works.

  ### 6. An essential tool for Node-RED in IIoT applications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felix R. | IT Application Manager, Manufacturing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about FlowFuse?**

I'm using FlowFuse to manage distributed Node-RED instances in an industrial IoT setup. What I really like is the ability to keep track of flow versions, deploy changes in a controlled way, and have full audit logs of who did what. The fact that it's open source is a big plus. Together with Node-RED, FlowFuse feels like a Swiss Army knife for IIoT. Lightweight, flexible, and extremely useful.

**What do you dislike about FlowFuse?**

Honestly, there’s not much I dislike. If I had to mention something, it would be that getting started with some of the more advanced features might require a bit of a learning curve—especially if you're new to managing multiple Node-RED instances.

**What problems is FlowFuse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m using FlowFuse to connect industrial machines with existing systems like ERP and MES. It also helps me automate processes across different machines by linking them together through Node-RED. With FlowFuse, I can manage everything centrally, keep track of changes, and roll out updates reliably—even across multiple locations. That saves time and avoids chaos in production environments.

  ### 7. FlowFuse - an impressive low-code tool for data and systems integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about FlowFuse?**

Adds enterprise-level security, interoperability and administration features to the widely known Node-RED low code IOT visual programming tool. It's quick to learn (our pilot project team developed integrations in half the time we estimated) and runs reliably. It's aimed at moderately technical people who understand the systems that they are integrating, and it makes life for those people much easier. We chose to deploy it in our own data centres, which worked well, and a variety of SaaS options are also available. We were easily able to configure the platform for single-sign-on and MFA. On the few occasions we have needed support we have been speaking to an experienced engineer within an hour, and had the problem resolved quickly. The system has been running some key system integrations for us for the last year, and we are looking to expand our use across many more projects.

**What do you dislike about FlowFuse?**

Less suitable for non-technical users, so in a different space than some business-focused automation tools that hide the technology. That's not necessarily a criticism - it depends who your users are.

The self-hosting options for large installations are best suited for organizations with modern private cloud infrastructure.

**What problems is FlowFuse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration between corporate IT systems running on-premises and externally hosted SaaS systems, some involving complex integration logic, e.g. filtering and enriching data before delivering it, handling business events and using them to trigger multiple processes. Over the next year this is expected to eliminate a large amount of currently manual work and give users a near-real-time view of the data they need.
