my experience with Fireflies because, as a salesperson, it has completely changed how I do my job. My absolute highest priority during a meeting is to focus entirely on the client—watching how they say things and reading the room. Before Fireflies, I was always distracted by trying to scribble down notes. Now, I can be 100% present in the conversation, which is honestly priceless to me.

The AI features are probably the best part. The way it summarizes the meetings and captures the actual meaning of what was said is incredibly accurate. It automatically creates tasks and outlines exactly what needs to be done next, which cuts out all that time-consuming, administrative busywork that used to clog up my day.

On top of that, the UI is super simple, very clear, and easy to use, even if you aren’t a tech person. But the real game-changer for me is how seamlessly it integrates with our CRM.

Performance-wise, it couldn't be better. Everything is always instant—no delays and no slowdowns whatsoever.

When it comes to pricing, it’s not exactly cheap, but it’s not the most expensive either, so it's really good value for what you get. I actually haven't even needed to use their support because the onboarding was so simple for our entire internal team to get through.

The automated meeting summaries and action-item extraction are absolutely fantastic. They eliminate the need for anyone to take manual notes during client calls or internal team syncs, which means everyone can stay fully present in the conversation. I also really appreciate how seamlessly it fits into our existing tech stack: it automatically pushes meeting recaps straight to our Slack channels and logs transcripts into our CRM. The bot’s auto-join behavior can feel pretty aggressive by default. If you’re not extremely careful with your calendar permissions and your Fireflies dashboard settings, it may end up joining private 1-on-1s meetings uninvited, which can be awkward. On the flip side, there are also times when the bot doesn’t join a meeting at all, and there’s no clear reason why. I use it to record my voice. I have a lot of voice notes, and sometimes I talk through my ideas and use it to keep track of them. I also use it for meetings, including personal meetings. Some meetings are one or two hours long, and I use it to record them so I can remember the whole conversation. I sometimes use it for group meetings or workshops as well. Most of the time I’m able to record the entire workshop, and if there aren’t too many speakers in the room—if it’s just one, two, or three people talking—it captures almost everything and transcribes it.

I also use it for online meetings on Google Meet and Zoom. It can capture the video feature too. We have the business plan, and with that plan it not only transcribes the audio, but also saves the meeting as a video file. Then we can review the video along with the audio, the transcription, the speakers, and data such as which speakers talk the most, what the most-used keywords are, and who speaks in which areas, so we can analyze these kinds of things in general. I like it. It’s good, and it successfully transcribes audio. Sometimes it even transcribes multiple languages. It doesn't have a nice UX/UI on the desktop or on the web page in the platform. Also, on the phone it doesn't have the best UX/UI, but it is nice. Performance-wise, it is very fast. It is very fast to transcribe the audio when sometimes I speak for one hour, and it is able to transcribe this one hour or two in a couple of minutes. What I dislike is that the UI is not really nice on the phone and on the desktop. I don't like that, when in a Google Meet or Zoom video meeting, the bot is asking permission to join the meetings. Also, in the meetings you see that this is like this person's note takers from five places taking notes. I don't mind the privacy issues, because I always notify people that I am recording.

When I am in a one-to-one meeting, but the person has not takers, I have to note not takers. On my screen I am seeing like six people I am talking to, which is not really looking nice. Unlike other AI notetakers, Fireflies is able to (relatively accurately) decipher who is speaking in a video call and attribute their words to them. This is super helpful when it comes to delegating tasks and ensuring the right people are alerted and accountable. I like how fast and flexible Fireflies.ai is. Its reliability stands out for me, and I'm impressed by its ability to handle both virtual and in-person meetings, unlike many other solutions.
