"FileOrbis: Compliance-Driven, Yet Needs Some Integration Improvements"
3.5/5
What do you like best about FileOrbis?

The biggest advantage by far is how thoroughly it caters to Germany’s strict data and network security rules. All client network documentation is saved on EU-only servers, so I never have to field compliance team pushback over risky cross-border data transfers like I did with our old US-based file tool. Its layered access permissions are extremely granular; I can lock sensitive network blueprint files away from junior technicians while granting controlled read-only access to contracted partners in seconds. Every single file view, download, or share creates permanent, uneditable timestamped logs that our local auditors accept outright, no tedious spreadsheet rework needed. The built-in German language interface is another huge win—our small-business clients’ non-technical office admins can navigate file sharing and permission settings without reaching out to our team for constant translation support, drastically cutting routine support tickets. What do you dislike about FileOrbis?

There’s no native bidirectional sync between FileOrbis and our core network monitoring SaaS solution. For mandatory NIS2 security audits, I have to pull two separate log datasets and manually match file access activity with network traffic records myself, which adds hours of collation every audit quarter. Permission management is extremely clunky with no bulk editing feature. When client engineering teams onboard new hires or restructure roles each quarter, I have to adjust access rights one individual profile at a time instead of updating entire groups in one batch. The default audit report templates are generic and don’t match our Berlin firm’s standardized compliance filing format, so I always spend extra time reformatting exported logs before submitting them to regulators. It also lacks automated file tagging tied to individual network projects, meaning I have to manually label every document to pull segmented reports for our SME clients. "A solid file management tool for teams"
4/5
What do you like best about FileOrbis?

What I like best about FileOrbis is the centralized file management system. It makes it really easy to organize and share files across our team without worrying about version control issues. The permission settings are granular enough that we can control who sees what, and the interface is clean and intuitive. Uploading and downloading files is fast, and I appreciate that it works well across different devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileOrbis?

The search functionality could be more powerful — it sometimes struggles to find files quickly when the folder structure is deep. The mobile experience is also not as smooth as the desktop version; some features feel a bit limited. Additionally, the initial setup and configuration took longer than expected, and the documentation could be more detailed for less technical users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about FileOrbis?

FileOrbis is a great solution for companies that already have Microsoft OneDrive licensed all employees. It efficiently manages the entire file-sharing process, including file upload requests from external stakeholders or partner organizations. FileOrbis seamlessly integrates its advanced reporting and sharing capabilities with OneDrive’s storage, creating a secure and streamlined collaboration environment. It also can integrate with SIEM or EDR solutions to provide required security integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileOrbis?

It cannot use Azure SQL Managed Instance feature to provide database requirement of the application. I'm sure the company will response quickly to that requirement for next versions of the solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Document Management, Ideal for Real Estate"
4/5
What do you like best about FileOrbis?

I like FileOrbis for its great balance of strong security features, straightforward operation, and reliable performance, which suits the demands of real estate document management. Its fine-grained access control gives me the ability to set separate permissions effortlessly, ensuring data protection that complies with local regulations. The platform is also user-friendly with a clean interface that requires no steep learning curve, allowing even non-tech-savvy colleagues to use it easily. I appreciate its stable remote access, which enables me and my team to access documents while traveling or working remotely. FileOrbis offers robust search functionality and efficient file organization with tagging and categorization features, making it easy to locate specific documents quickly. The seamless setup process and ease of training for our team further add to its usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileOrbis?

I find the batch file processing capabilities quite limited for our daily real estate document workflows. At present, FileOrbis only offers very basic bulk upload options, while advanced batch functions like mass renaming, unified tagging, and multi-file moving are not fully supported. When I need to standardize filenames for hundreds of documents to follow our company’s unified naming rules, or assign category tags to a whole set of files belonging to the same property, I have to select and process each file individually. This repetitive work takes up a great deal of my working hours and slows down the entire file sorting and archiving process. It would bring a huge efficiency boost if the platform could add robust batch operation tools, such as one-click bulk renaming, batch tag assignment, and cross-folder bulk moving. These features would help us organize massive volumes of property and tenant documents much faster and keep our file library well-structured with far less manual work.
