Our organization was interesting in licensing ETAP software. We got in contact with a supplier sales representative to start getting ETAP onboarded as a supplier in our systems, we couldn't get the sales rep to help facilitate this process. We were told a very simple request was pending with ETAP's legal for months, I'm not sure if anything actually ever made it to their legal team, or if the sales rep was giving us the runaround. Very odd interaction with the company, been doing this a long time and haven't had a company unwilling to work with a customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As I use it frequently i.e. 5 times in a week and use numerous design features including load flow study, arc flash hazard in most of my projects. I can say that it is a software which is very easy to use and the project implementation does not take too much time. Moreover, the customer support is very fast. One thing which can be a area of improvement is it's cost it should be reduced and they should give promo codes to the students who can not utilize this software just because they can't afford it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very useful for designing your conductor sizing. It is observed that many companies / designers use oversized cables. ETap calculates accurate cable sizing and saves a lot money from over sizing cables. Very useful for power analysis, fault current analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ETAP is an excellent work tool for power system analysis, which allows simulating single-line diagrams of power systems and simulating events such as load analysis, power flow, and short-circuit current calculation at the buses. In addition to that, it has a wide library of electrical components that facilitates the work, such as motors, electrical protections, and generators.
