"The is most satisfying to manage and deploy the apps."
What do you like best about Engine Yard?

I like the Engine Yard system because by this we can manage our apps by this system within a short time and also by this software we can deploy the apps. I choose Engine Yard because it removes the concern from our Ruby on Rails IT support environment. It also provides support to AWS services which is very beneficial for our IT workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Engine Yard?

Engine Yard cloud-based system is best for the apps management and deploying, but it needs high bandwidth connection and also its interface is too old and is very bad. I dislike this system due to that the Troubleshooting and configuration process is very awkward and confusing. Some common things or options can be hidden on the dashboard due to high traffic. "An unimaginable product that helps in creating applications."
What do you like best about Engine Yard?

Engine Yard is a fine software and has helped our organization in various ways. We used this product and it helped us in creating an application with much ease. Now my team and I are fully dependants on Engine Yard’s team in order to make our application platform up and its team is so supportive and we never felt alone in this as they are always there to help us and because of it we have seen how glad our customers are now .it also provided support of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and given us a wonderful experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Engine Yard?

There is no such point to dislike as we loved using it but all that bothered us is its high price as compared to its rivals. Because of its price we found it unaffordable. We think they should decrease their price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic product and technical support, frustrating dealing with their "success managers""
What do you like best about Engine Yard?

Their product and support is excellent for companies without devops experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Engine Yard?

They promised me that I could stay on a grandfathered plan, but then changed their mind and are trying to force me onto a newer plan that is 300% more expensive.

They also suggested I could bring my own Amazon EC2 credentials and realize some savings by reserving Amazon instances. Then after a month of dithering and non-response, they told me they don't want to offer that feature anymore. Still haven't received a decision from them after a month an a half. Very frustrating. "Rails deployment trade off of ease-of-use for affordability"
What do you like best about Engine Yard?

Very dependable rails deployment and hosting with more affordable pricing compared to the competition (heroku, rackspace etc) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Engine Yard?

Troubleshooting and configuration can be confusing and awkward. Their dashboard has lots of options, and is even a bit busy with features, however some common things are hidden and unintuitive (like settings environment variables) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Industrial Grade and Expensive Ruby on Rails hosting"
What do you like best about Engine Yard?

They know Ruby on Rails hosting better than anyone, has serious support and knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Engine Yard?

Expensive - not really for a startup using Ruby on Rails. They give you free hours to start but price jumps after that. If you are cost conscious this is not the place to start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
