I run cold outbound, so deliverability is the whole game for me, and Email List Verify is the step that protects it. Before we verified systematically, bounce rates off scraped and purchased lists were high enough that our sending domain reputation was starting to slip. Now nothing goes into a sequence until it has been through ELV.
What I like most is that it gives me graded results instead of a binary pass/fail. Valid, invalid, catch-all, unknown, disposable, spam trap - I get to decide how aggressive to be with each bucket rather than having the tool decide for me. The spam trap and disposable detection is the part I would pay for on its own, because a single trap hit costs far more than the entire verification bill.
The bulk upload is frictionless. I drop in a CSV or XLSX without reformatting columns, and large files come back in well under an hour rather than overnight. The dashboard is plain but fast, and I have never had to hunt for anything. The API is included rather than gated behind a higher tier, which matters if you ever want to move verification upstream into a signup form instead of cleaning lists after the fact.
On price it is not close. Pay as you go at half a cent a credit means I am not carrying a subscription between campaigns - I top up when I have a list to clean. For the same volume, the better known alternatives quoted me several times that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Catch-all domains. A meaningful share of my results come back as catch-all or unknown, which is an honest answer - the receiving server genuinely will not confirm the address - but it still leaves me making the judgment call on addresses I have already spent credits checking. On corporate domains, which is most of a B2B prospect list, that bucket is large enough that I cannot simply discard it.
What I would like is a confidence score on that bucket rather than a flat unknown, so I could rank within it instead of treating it as one undifferentiated pile. My workaround is to route catch-alls into a separate, slower-warmed sending segment, which works but is manual. It is the one part of the process the tool has not taken off my hands.
The other minor thing is that the cheapest per-credit rates require a monthly commitment, so campaign-driven buyers like me pay a little more per credit than the headline pricing suggests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
