Ellucian Smart Planning & Registration Reviews & Product Details

As a student, I love the ease with which I can view my degree requirements and the courses I have left to graduate. The "What If" feature is my favorite. I use it often to determine the number of courses I would need to take if I changed my degree program, or if I decide to add a certificate program to my plan. It is very easy to use. The only true downside I see when using DegreeWorks is the inability to change the prospective degree program from within the "What If" feature once you have processed it. You have to return to the main page and then select the "What If" feature again to create a new program view. I think the ability to select more than one concentration for a degree would be beneficial as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can check my progress of course requirements for my degree. Courses I have completed are checked off, and courses in progress are also noted. I also like that you can access a what-if worksheet to explore other educational goal options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I dislike is that I cannot update some information such as a change in my major or choosing a degree over a certificate program. Those updates need to be made through the Enrollment Services office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For students, it tells you which courses you have completed and which one's you have left. This saves students from needing to schedule appointments with advisors often, which are normally difficult to do as universities are big, and have ease of access on their devices. Sometimes it doesn't show accurate updates, requiring a visit to an advisor to override certain things for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helped me to see what courses I needed to complete, and my grades. Also seeing my transfer credits was useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

looks dated and could be updated to be more user friendly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Degree works is very easy to read in my opinion. It's well laid out and everything just makes sense. I've used other programs that were kind of overcomplicated. I don't think this is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As simple as it is, it looks dated. I don't mind the simplicity, I actually prefer it, but they could modernize it a bit. I've noticed some flukey or glitchy moments, but it's been kind of rare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is a great tool for both advisors and students. It shows all the information needed to track progress and eligibility for graduation all on one screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The appearance seems a little outdated. I would like to see a little more streamlining of the information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
