If setup properly, then Government Compliance is easy to follow. The system helps avoid mistakes if it is used in its intended methods. The system is very transparent which helps support analysis and audit needs.
Available bill formats is limited, and this is something Deltek should address because all customers want something just a bit different and its difficult to make presentations fit the differing circumstances without using a report writer tool.
It helps with keeping lessor trained, lessor accounting knowledge personnel from making mistakes and reduces the amount of reconciling.
The ability to tailor the application to meet our company's needs through extensibility and CBI. We are able to tie our data together for centralized processing in the way we need it. The system is getting more user-friendly as they take lessons learned from usability, but it does require some training to administer the data properly. However, the level of complexity makes it more powerful system to meeting reporting needs.
Being on the Cloud has limited us because we don't have access to Cognos tools we had when on-premises. Some of the operations can take longer than if we were locally hosted.
If you are looking at your first ERP, think long term. Cutting corners to save some money will cost you more in the long run when you find you have to upgrade to Costpoint; many cheaper systems do not handle the data in the way necessary to meet the requirements for government contractors.
We are able to do a lot of automation which reduces the workload on our employees. This has enabled us to take on a larger workforce without having to hire more support staff as many of the manual processes we performed in the past are now being handled by the automation.

I like the single signon integration. I'm waiting for the bugs to be worked out. As you move to a more user friendly processes, I think CP will begin to be all that we need. Also, we have multiple funders and it's not easy to make this work. If you could incorporate this functionality, I would be a very happy CP user.
